Your Plant ceramide rich moisture cream is amazing ! I just started using it a week ago and have oily/ combo skin and it’s not heavy at all. Will buy again xo
The Vichy....I have dry skin so purchssed this in the hopes it would provide me with more nourishment and hydration but no. Why does this product dry my skin? I've tried using more, less a different order of application....help!
No disrespect or shade intended towards anyone. I just love hunting for dupes, as well as helping my fellow humans! I know I’m not Susan, but I’m a big skincare nerd and here is my take on the routine she posted with less expensive products: Elf Holy Hydration Cleansing Balm $10 Elf Pure Skin Cleanser $9 The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toner $10 The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid $7.50 The Inkey List Peptide Moisturizer $14.99 Elf Happy Hydration Face Cream $12 Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% $14.99 This covers the majority of the ingredients she used in this routine, albeit in different forms and concentrations. Susan touched on this in another video, but you have to be careful when using glycolic acid and retinoids together. Start slow, maybe do the glycolic acid twice a week and the retinoid once a week on a non-glycolic night until you know how your skin reacts.
@Trinity M I’m directing people to cruelty- free, vegan, fragrance-free, and most of all, ACCESSIBLE products. Susan does feature her own brand, along with Vichy, owned by L’Oreal, and Alpha-H, whom she partnered for this video. These products come in at price ranges from $15-$100. The featured serum is the drawing point here, and as much as I would love to try it, I don’t have $100 to spend on a single serum. I know I’m not alone in that. You’re right; Naturium is an Asian-owned brand. It’s also a great quality brand. I use it frequently in my own routine. AAPI-owned brands do have it harder than other big box brands. Naturium is also sold at Target, which kind of gives it a leg up over less known brands owned and operated by BIPOC who haven’t made it to the national market. So by your logic, purchasing Naturium is taking business away from even smaller BIPOC owned brands. Why not buy from Banish or Meow Meow Tweet? Isn’t this whole channel disrespectful to them by your logic? Just some food for thought.
Suana she is not a dermatology doctor of some cosmetic doctors but she got a mouths right run like she know the best for every woman out there and celebrity🤣🤣😭
A little confused...so you used the aha..the VIchy 89, before the Alpha H...the acid, wouldn't the Alpha H, just annhilate the previous product? Don't you want to put the acid Alpha H first to clear the skin, as in make way for the Vichy 89, Then moisturize?
I tried a sample of that serum and fell absolutely in love with it! I just started tret though, so it'll probably be a while before I'm comfortable purchasing and using it 😵💫
Love the combo of the plant ceramide cream and the sleeping cream! In the winter I actually mix your Squalane oil with the plant ceramide cream and then go in with the sleeping cream. That got me through my tretinoin transition period!
I REALLY want to try the Alpha-H Liquid Gold Midnight Reboot Serum but the price :/ Is there another product that has similar ingredients or effects but more affordable? :)
Hi Susan! I was wondering what's your undertone? You look golden but cooler and I think we have the same undertone. Until now I havent found the perfect foundation match for me. Golden looks orange, cool looks peach, neutral is a "good enough" match but not THE match. And whats your perfect shade of foundations? Thank you!
Maybe you have an OLIVE undertone like me. Think Penelope Cruz and Mila Kunis, both have Olive undertones. For years, I thought I was golden. But I actually have a neutral olive undertone which has an olive green undertone with a drop of warmth. But usually WARM undertone foundations are too peachy on me. If you have a light or light medium skintone KOSAS, RARE BEAUTY and ILIA have some olive undertoned foundations. Fun fact: it's not only medium and tan skintones that can be olive. Light and light medium skintones can be olive too.
Susan can you do a skincare routine with a serum that has copper peptides in it? I've found out so many good things about copper peptides. I don't know why more people aren't talking about it. It would also be good if there was a full body serum that has copper peptides along with other good ingredients in it. I'm not sure if it's hard to formulate a product with squalene, copper peptides and maybe a plant based retinol. Or if retinol and copper peptides are not supposed to be mixed? But something like that or similar would be appreciated by some of us. I think the need for a serum that is meant to be used on the body before a lotion or a body butter (especially at night) would be nice. I'm also hoping that Naturium comes out with a copper peptide product. I'd watch a video of yours talking about that ingredient. I'd also like to know your thoughts about Morpheous 8 and procedures like BodyTite and FaceTite? I recently saw where a 26 year old had FaceTite done. I thought that was for someone older than that. So I'd like to hear your thoughts.
Hi Susan. I’m 40, male, and every time I smile, the wrinkles on the outer edges of my eyes come out to play. What products are best to use and what’s a solid routine to start up to prevent it from getting worse or to even… reverse them with no Tom Cruise money.
Those are the best wrinkles!! Shows you are a happy man - make sure to wash your face at night, use a retinol and a simple moisturiser! In the daytime, wash face with water, a lil vitamin C and use a sunscreen on top. The key is to keep it simple!
I'm struggling with the damp face method for my dry skin. After I cleanse and rinse I slightly pat and apply Beta Glucan Serum which is new followed by CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion AM and I'm trying the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream PM instead of the Lotion. My worse battle is my cheeks. I've been told to pat like you did because even though it may not seem it your skin is damp, I've been told do one big pat, don't pat at all but swipe the droplets off your face. It's a bit frustrating trying to figure it out.
What advice would you give to a 25 year old who’s never had a skin care routine and is just looking to start a very basic one? I think I have dry skin but it may just be dehydrated. I’m just really not looking to blow a ton of money on a bunch of products that may or may not work for me since my current schedule is just cleansing and moisturizing 2-3 times a week.
Cleanser moisturizer and sunscreen in the morning. Cleanser, hydrating serum and night cream in evening is good as a beginner. You can also add a very mild chemical exfoliator once a week at night.
@@daniabhat852 Thanks for the reply! That seems more doable. Most of the routines I’ve seen are just way too many steps and to just be learning it’s a bit overwhelming. Now I just need to find some brands. I bought a sunscreen my coworker recommended, I’m ordering a cleanser, and now I need to find a hydrating serum and night cream!
Susan, please help! I use your Benzoyl Peroxide cleanser and the gelee but I need an extra boost to get my eye makeup off. What do you recommend over than micellar?
Is it normal that I have dry skin normally but lately I’ve been a big oily and having to blot during the day ? I added an essence , retinol and a hydrating toner at night and a vitamin C in the morning .I’ve been using this for the last couple months diligently . It is normal for my skin type to change ? My skin no longer gets tights after I cleanse .
Please do this but with an affordable routine ! 🙁🤞🏼
yes😢
You said “please resubmit the assignment applying the following corrections.”
IMHO, Most of the expensive products can be in this routine can be replaced with the Naturium balm or their Glycolic acid.
The Budget Dermatologist channel is awesome too! I love Dr. Maren Locke

That overnight sleeping cream from your brand is my best friend lol. I can't live without it!
She still looks so beautiful even after taking off makeup.
The Aveeno eczema baby balm is pure magic.
Love this routine. The vichy product was at my local Walgreens and was an amazing edition to my routine!
SUSAN! Give us a what’s on my countertop!! It’s probably just me but I can’t help but think there are a ton of fun products right in front of you! 🤣
When are you going to ship naturium to Spain / Europe??
Now we need day time and a budget version of both🙏🙏🙏
Skinline suggestion, can you add Ophthalmologist tested/approved. Having very sensitive eyes I can’t use most of your products.
I'm glad she uses both high end and affordable - there are too many budget routines out there!
Can you please do a video regarding products for rosacea and sensitive skin.
I love watching you apply your products!

I do lol! It's my nighttime moisturizer, I would try it a few nights a week and see if it works for your skin
i thought we can't use Acid with Retinol or Retinoid? i guess we can ?
You can but you should pay attention to how much your skin can tolerate it. If it’s formulated in a product together, that’s even better.
What are the skincare products a dry skin person should definitely have in their routine?
Her lips look so big I guess I haven’t seen her videos lately 😮
14% AHA *AND* retinoid ??? Sorry but I would never use that on my black and dry skin !
