    I'm sure others have already said this, but you can definitely print transparency sheets using an inkjet printer. You just need to make sure you have the right kind of sheets and are printing on the correct side.

    You are so incredibly creative, it blows my mind!! I love that you are going to make a completely handmade wardrobe and envision passing the pieces down through the hands of others. My mind works in a similar way but unfortunately I struggle to put my extensive idea into action. I'm really inspired by you, so it's much appreciated :)

    I highly recommend you read the book "off the wall: american art to wear"!!! Its an amazing refrence for the wearable art movement of the 60s/70s in California.
    And a book from that era has recently gotten reprinted, and its called "native funk and flash", and it is also an amazing reference.
    I came across your video after buying some solar dyes to make my own quilted top and I realized you may love the books I recommended after you said you wanted a completely handmade wardrobe (these books have an *incredible* amount of inspiration for that!!)

    What a great idea to make the scans that way! Will the color retain on the pants over time?

    This turned out so great!! Does it have to be a certain material? Do you think printing on a different fabric would work?

    • @natasharose
      @natasharose  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This brand of dye said to use a plant based fibre - so the pants I’m using are made of 100% cotton. Check the label of the dye - different brands have different instructions :)

    if you don't mind can you answer my question?
    Cyanotype of fabric : how long does it last ? I mean for how many wash the print stays or it fades out after every wash or it's permanent once the sun printing is done ?

    • @natasharose
      @natasharose  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s permanent! The last step (washing in very hot water) makes the dye permanent, and washes away the dye that was not exposed to sunlight. :)

    • @natasharose
      @natasharose  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A laser printer will print on regular transparency sheets. But Jacquard sells special transparents that can be used with inkjet printers!
