Great advice to make the tiny habit as easy as possible, and rehearse your habits. Giving a chance for the habits to make some connections in the brain before you start the habit. Helps to anchor it in your memory too. Love the habit of saying "Everybody does the best they can, nobody tries to screw up" (in the third person) when you have underperformed. Far better than berating yourself. A great reminder that we are all human, rather than pre-programmed robots.

Thanks for much for this. Discovered you guys via a friend's recommendation when he linked me to the live broadcast. I then bought BJ's book and out of all the personal development books I've been reading recently this one has been life changing! So perfectly constructed, researched and realised. You can implement the Tiny Habit method in minutes and it really does work. I'm now regularly reviewing habits I can add, redesign or experiment with and getting great results.

This is a lovely discussion, especially the discussion of spontaneity! I’m definitely on the spontaneous side, and I’ll happily look for little habits that help me routinize the bits that get in my way.

I had been trying to use yoga daily and form a good habit. Only it proves I do it without thinking as I caught myself playing with the yoga ball without approaching it as a yoga workout session. I think the play within me was the fun behind the habit.

How do you improve or increase the behavior... if I'm only doing 1 push up for 6 months... I would be no stronger that 1 or a few push ups??
