      Remember that our telomeres are programmed to keep us alive for at least 120 years if we follow a proper human diet and keep active..remove all processed junk and see how you feel..I'm middle aged at 60 years old and feeling better every day..looking forward to the next 60 eating carnivore..I feel that I have been robbed of health and years by the powers that be. Thank goodness that I'm on the right track now and can educate others towards a healthier lifestyle..mainly my 10 year old son who knows what a proper human diet is and how to check macros in products..I don't come down hard if he eats anything processed. He knows that his metabolism will handle it at the moment..he's starting at the gym with me and I'm sure that he is going to do well ..thank you for all your help and efforts. You have saved thousands from poor health suffering and death ❤

    I will be 79 December 9th (same as Dr. Berry). A couple days ago I was walking my dog at the park and we took a path that went down to the river, then she went left to a smaller path that had small branches that had been dumped there. They were packed down and looked fine to walk over, well I tripped and did a face plant. Thankfully there also was a pile of leaves and cut grass, that is where my face landed. Getting up is very hard for me because of very bad RA but did manage. Nothing broke so am thankful for that.

    I have been carnivore, somewhat dirty at times, for about a year and a half, and have all but cured Crohn's + IBS, eczema, rosacea, etc. Now my husband is finally getting interested in it and very slowly transitioning
    Now for the last few weeks I have been able to get him to listen to your podcasts and he is actually appreciating them! He is 80yrs old and mildly obese. He has permanent nerve damage from bad disc damage in his lower back. Surgery stopped progression but will never reverse the nerve damage, hence neuropathy and other problems. I am hoping your words continue to have influence!

    The first question hit home. My dad felt like I needed digestive enzymes when I was a kid. I loved OJ, I would come in fro playing on a hot day and get me a big glass, it’s always made me belch a lot. I often had indigestion and stomach aches living at home. My mom cooks like an old school southern mom, she’s 83. She has no health issues, very active, but has digestive problems. She put conola oil in everything. Frying meat in the cast iron skillet. She cooks a lot of vegetables. The conola is in everything. Thanksgiving lunch at moms will be good to day, but we will suffer for it. It also makes my wife gain quickly (that’s what she says).

    Dr Berry, when you talked about how we use to floss our teeth, by breaking off a limb with all the things on it, such as owl poo etc..
    When I was a child & went horse back riding after we ate supper & something was in my teeth, I discovered one strand of horse mane hair was the perfect floss. Your limb discription popped that memory back into my thoughts! Huzzah!!!

    Hardest part is watching loved ones who can't be convinced. My sister went vegan and now has osteoporosis. My wife just can't accept these ideas, but at least continues to eat meat. The difficulty is I have fruit, bread and sweets under my nose to resist every day. The other day she watched some video that said you shouldn't eat too much red meat - I'm tired of the arguments and just said ok, everyone says that, so go ahead and do it. She bought a bunch of steaks for herself before going off on her weekend trip! 😂😂😂 What's difficult for her is the ideas that fruit and honey are good for you have so many deep emotional attachments, going back to family, friends, philosophy of life, etc etc. Also she was a trained nurse, and to go against all the education she received back when .... not easy.

      It’s so hard for most “normal” humans to commit to a particular (supposed) healthy-eating regime given all the masses of totally conflicting advice now literally at our fingertips. No wonder there’s more confusion now than EVER before! The Ken Berrys and the “ZOE nutrition” bods are just 2 examples of the current Pantheon of Nutrition Gurus. They both communicate brilliantly in totally different ways. Ken is almost like a preacher in his homey, beguiling, supportive, super-articulate method. The “other lot” (ZOE) are more like geeky science boffins / professors. Trouble is they continue to tell us poor confused “normals” the complete opposite in terms of healthy eating.

      My step daughter is a Nurse, she said they only received ONE HOUR of NUTRITION study. 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️
      She has started on Keto and lost a lot of weight easily, which was always hard for her. 😊👍🏽
      Carnivore next! Just tell your wife….Honey is Bee VOMIT. 😆😉👍🏽….because it LITERALLY IS. 🤷🏼‍♀️
      Good for burns, cuts, it helps heal wounds, but we shouldn’t ingest it much.
      When our bodies get enough Protein, we don’t need much else.

      One thing I talk to my children about is that just because you were told a lie many years ago, in school, when you were young, by a parent, by an authority, etc, does not make the lie true! The Nazi's told lies for a long time, they told big huge lies, they had teachers tell lies, they had parents lie to their kids, they told lie often....but they were still lies and lots of people died based on these lies! I would ask you wife why she thinks the Nazi's lied? Could it be power & $$$$, would big Pharma and processed food do the same? We can't keep dieing over lies, even if it is a "harmless" lie of limiting red meat...because it isn't really harmless.

      @@marijkepeereboom6442 keto was good for me but eating for instance Almonds, which I love caused me to overeat Almonds. Although no sugar in Almonds, still has carbs and carbs spike blood sugar and therefore cravings. Blueberries was another one. And once you get on the cravings hamster wheel it's like trying to quit smoking or drinking all the time rather than just once. So, for me, Carnivore is perfect. I can eat all I want without the fear of cravings and jumping back on the endless hamster wheel and fluctuating weight gain/loss.

Sugar and seed oils also messes up your glands and organs and how they work to regulate body systems. You wouldn't put sugar in your gas tank so why put it in your body. It's harder to do than say but 30 days doing something one day at a time makes it a habit.

    nt the last 20 years, eating no fat meat, veggies, fruit juices, and just 500 calories per day. Malnutrition on juicing and raw food. Constant pain, kidney stones and migraines. A1C and Inflamation never decreased. Took out sugar, but didnt know the grapeseed oil, flax, oil, hemp oil, vegitable oil, peanut oil, coconut oil, were all bad. Endeed up 322 lbs, couldnt get up or move very well. Fell back to eating anything and everything because I didnt lose any weight and if I did I gained it all back. Started Carnivore 3-3-23 and lost 80 lbs of I believe mainly inflamation. DR. and ER trips due to the Oxalate dumping. Before Carnivore was passing razer blade kidney stones every month. Too many other pains to list. Chronic everything. However, i am currently still eating Carnivore and not on any pain meds or migraine meds. Still fighting off Urologist wanting to cut out my kidney. ER Dr telling me I need a liver transplant, and my gut needs to be cut out. So, I am still just eating this way no matter what I am dealing with to see if my Liver, Gut and Kidney will heal. My eGFR went from 68 to 100 after eating mainliy just meat, salt, and a little eggs. Then my kidney went back down to 69 and am currently dealing with the next challange. Have talked with my sister-in-law who is type 2 diabetes, obese and has THROMBIN 111 deficiency and takes warfarin. She is going to start tomorrow for two weeks and see if eating the human diet will help her. Now she has asked me the question--how will her blood clotting handle this because the food to eat is the opposite to what the doctors tell her. Would appreciate your help with this as we would love to see her healthy, Many many thanks for your wonderful work at helping so many of us to change our way of living to being therefore much healthier. Total hysterectomy 20 years ago. Very dry if you know what i mean. ouch... mustache plucking every two days, eyebrows so thin you couldn't see them. Hair struggles to grow. Sexual drive is there but very slow, I did keto first but kept falling off and eating a little junk at night. Finally, I got it, 99 percent carnivore now Hair is growing great. I got my eyebrows back. no more gray in my eyebrows.. No more plucking mustache (yes)!!!
    and my natural lubricant is back yippee. I'm feeling like a woman again. 😏
    Not to mention 20 pounds gone 20 to go.
    There are so many more changes . Thank you, Dr. Berry, your determination to help others is so great.
    Stay safe. I can't say thanks enough...

    • @Dudemeister777
      @Dudemeister777 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Interesting how some people get gout while doing carnivore and yet others cure their gout by going carnivore. I wonder if maybe the ones who get it while on carnivore, like yourself, are dealing with some sort of detox like a strong oxalate dump or something.

    • @pohkeee
      @pohkeee ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It turns out that “ gout” can be caused by a number of crystalline deposits l Uric acid is just one, oxalic acid is another, and distress from that comes from when your body is trying to rid itself from a lifetime of Oxalate deposits.

      @@sachfab From my understanding, oxalate dumping happens in cycles, so it's a possibility it'll happen again if it is in fact oxalate based, but they should be less intense over time. Best case scenario is that this is in fact the last time since so much has come out in this dump, that whenever another dump happens it won't be anything like this

    I love plants: growing them, eating them so yummy to me!!! So it was easy to be vegetarian. Going keto and carnivore is very hard...but vegan did not work, because I never could sleep if I ate legumes. I had to work very hard to figure out what meats I would like enough to eat and keep eating. Great for all you steak lovers...I really dislike steak! I had to reach back into childhood to cold roast as something I liked. I also have to remind myself that I am giving up plants for a season. I always ate seasonally anyway and once the fruit or veggie is done for the season, it is time to move on to the new season and celebrate it. So now is my season of meat and I am working on finding what I love in this season! I probably won't go back to plants, because I can see that I feel tons better without them, but I still reserve the right to have some in season....but I am and always have been a moderator.

    Regarding the trolls who continuously scour the comments on keto/carnivore channels:
    I theorize that we all need to feel purpose, and these people seem to lack a solid feeling of control of & in their lives, so they latch onto something simple & necessary: food.
    This then provides a foundational moral/ethical compass (animal welfare, ecological concerns, theory of health etc) that they feel justified in pushing onto others with an evangelical moral assuredness.
    From this foundation springs their philosophy of life. -and we are the pagans who must be converted. That's why they are so comfortable with their unequivocal preaching.
    For some, diet is an individual health issue.
    For others, it's a social moral issue. -a faulty premise.
