I forgot to menrion in the episode but this topic was suggested by a listener!! Thank you for your comment copied below: Broderick Fleming Midnight awesome man. Hey I got a question for you guys and maybe even a potential topic for an episode: with the absolute mind blowing closure of Tango Gameworks, what are some former studios you wish were still around? For me I’d love for Pandemic to still be around, I loved The Saboteur, Mercenaries and their Star Wars games. Danger Close (EA Los Angeles) comes to mind too cause I loved the early Medal of Honor games as a kid. I’d be interested in what you guys can come up with
Y’all really made this situation a bit more lighthearted and I appreciate it. Some great games mentioned that I gotta finally play, like Godfather, Dante’s Inferno and Halo Wars. Also I love how Sean announced his CFB commitment like it was signing day. I’m also from the Northeast and since Boston College hasn’t done much since Matt Ryan, I have lived vicariously through THE Ohio State 🫡
I’m totally, completely unbiased in saying this was another great episode! Many great former studios that are sorely missed, I grew up on RTS games like Starcraft and had completely forgot about Westwood studio until Midnight brought them up. I only played Command & Conquer 3 but I loved it. You guys made the first part of my 6.5 hour drive for work entertaining!
Wait...Have you guys been living underneath a rock? Your topic today is Xbox shutting down KEY studios!? But really it's about studios that have shut down that you all miss. I get it. You gotta leverage that negative Xbox news to get some views. So lame.
My friend did you watch the video? We covered both lol... We absolutely discuss the Xbox closures of tango, Arkane etc and what it means and what we think of Xbox moves and direction. Then after that we got into our show topic which was all time closures.
