There are still some sort of annoying, clipping noises starting from Vulture, but I had no idea how to stop them from appearing, apologies to headphone users.

@@dethmettle9236 I was once on a flight where a parallel flight was in view a couple miles to our right, and the captain basically announced what you just said. He said we've been challenged to a race, and turned the seat belt light on, 33,000 feet over Nova Scotia.
Imagine how much time it would take to collect all the ships, all the SLFs, and all the guardian ships JUST for their engine noise! I salute you for your work, Commander!

personally i enjoy the krait mk2 more, but the phantom is almost as good in my book. and yes, the xg9 lance does sound like no matter what you're gonna do you're going to lose your soul.

the Fer-De-Lance, The Mamba, Type-10, Krait MK2 have AMAZING boost sounds and their engine sounds in general. i love the FDL engines the most.

The sound engineering is easily the most intricate i've heard in any game yet. Layers on layers, all of them make sense, and all unique? You understand the quality of passion, the KIND of passion, that had to go into sound engineering, a normally UTTERLY ignored field of game design, to accomplish the act of rendering all ship related sound effects not just largely unique, but unique WITH SUFFICENT FLAIR TO CONVEY SHIP PERSONALITY!? Take my money. I know I've paid for it already. Take it again. This MUST be rewarded and set as the new standard.
Edit: 4:31 I defy you to tell me when the Imperial Eagle's boost is triggered, they didn't actually find a way to slip a techno sounding eagle call in there. No way I missed that.
The boost sound of the Mamba sounds like it REALLY means business!
1:29 I still remember to this day: I've been hauling in a Type-10 for a few days, and decided to dust off my old Eagle for a change. When aiming through the mail slot, I lined it up, and out of habit from flying Type-10 I hit the boost button.
The Eagle surly boosted and I had never felt so fast in my life.
I love the nice sort of sound the Hauler makes. It's like the sort of sound you'd imagine a little floating AI companion would make floating around.

Imperial Eagle boost noise hella underrated

I miss my python. That sub-bass boost sound is too damn good.
•• I could listen to the Sidewinders engines all night. Love it.
•• The boost on the Dolphin freaked me TF out. Sounded like the tortured souls of a thousand Imperial slaves.
•• The boost of the Keelback reminds me of the Seismic charges from Star Wars. That "twang"sound.
•• The Push to full throttle on the Vulture and Fed Dropship reminds me of a car with a 4-speed manual. Just seems like it redlines out too soon, and needs another "gear".
•• The boost of the Alliance Chieftain.. Holy shit dude. Another tortured soul living in the cap?
•• The Imperial Clipper at full throttle sounds like someone riding the rumble strip at 100 Mph.
•• The boost sound of the FDL.. Ever had one of those little whistles with the tiny rotor in it? "zweeeeee"
•• The Mamba sounds pretty neat all around. The boost sound is quite a solid punch.
•• The 'conda just sounds sweet. Like the Sidey, I could listen to her sing all night.
•• Ahh, the Corvette.. Maybe the sweetest song of them all..

Thank you for doing this video! It makes sound design for elite dangerous much easier! It also introduced me to the XG9 Lance which I did not know existed. It must've been hard to get all these ships so I really respect the amount of effort put in to do this! Well done!

the kraits and keelback have my favorite engine sounds, the kraits for their boost sounds and the keelback sounds like a saturn V rocket is strapped to it, though not as loud

Thank you for posting this! I was trying to explain to my buddy that I bought a mamba instead of FDL becuase of the sound. The mamaba sounds so mean while the FDL sounds like a car with no ABS trying to brake.

Sadly. When you turn those ships at different speeds mixed with boosting, they make other also interesting noises. For exmple Viper mk3 sounds like muscle car.

I only fly Gutamaya's.... for the interiors, exteriors and the sounds they make. Flown nothing but the cutter for years now... dont know why it gets so much hate... well... i do know why... LOL

as far as my favorite i think it has to be FDL. accel and decel are phenominal but boost is just ok

The type-9 heavy is my favorite ship in the game, but I can't use it because I just can't immerse myself in a space game when my ship sounds like a 1943 bomber airplane

There is no moving sensation on space. Besides shit flying by in the window there would be no way to tell how fast you were accelerating or decelerating

Humans generally can't feel speed. They feel acceleration. That's true for space too. Check out the video "Acceleration Inside the International Space Station During a Reboost" for a demonstration.
