Thanks for the in depth video man. I'll prob do a auto blip in the near future and this vid will also definitely help out anyone else who will install one. On the shift linkage set point, the 90 degrees was with the trans in neutral or in gear?
Thanks for the feedback. So for the shift linkage, it doesn’t matter if you are in gear or not because the linkage returns to 90 degrees once you let off the shifter. So in other words, when the bike is just sitting there with no pressure on the shifter, that linkage needs to be at 90 degrees, it could be in neutral or 6th doesn’t matter.
Did you have to adjust the blip function at all?
Hey thanks for this video it helped a lot on my R1 install. But just a FYI you don’t need to use the brake to downshift. You can bypass that by supplying constant 12v to that wire which intercepted the brake lights. 👍🏽
mikevazquez333 hey no problem. I know you could wire it direct which I thought about doing but I decided to wire it switched just Incase my foot actually applied enough pressure to actuate a downshift when I didn’t want it. I know it would probably never happen but mostly if I’m ripping that hard I’m hard on the brakes going into a corner anyway
How did u bypass that..i have a 2013 R1, and mine will be here tomorrow.. curious, because I want it on without having to hit the brake

Hi, does the quickshifter still operate the conventional way (ECU based)? Or does the translogic box take care of both the quickshifter and the blipped?

can you install just the quickshifter and get up and down? like i have the yamaha one, but its only for up shifts ya know. JW i've never fucked with anything from translogic but i've heard good shit
No if you just have the quick shifter it doesn’t do rev match clutchless downshifts

good video and quite informative. Just two quick question. 1 If you are taking the bike to a racing track, would it be better to get R1 at the very start as it has same engine but more air dynamic fairing and sportier ergonomics. 2 What are the drawbacks of stock GYTR QS that prompt you to switch to aftermarket one. Again thanks for this really good video for helping me put on quickshifter to my 16 Mt-09 (which does not support OEM quickshifter)
1. I do 99% street riding, if i took it to the track it would just be for a day here or there. 2. The 2017 FZ-10 did not come with a factory quick shifter. Also i wanted quick shifter and auto blip which you cant get with factory.
Hy, my downshift it only works if I brake, why?
where u pluged in the wire under the brake, plug it into the other wire next to that will be the 12v constant and not just brake 12v

Does the ecu need to be tuned to use this after install? Or is it plug and play?
Chris Topher actually no, however you do need to actuate the quick shifter after you install. So I believe you need to have the bike off, hold the shifter up, turn the key on and hold the shifter in the up position until the little “QS” emblem pops up on the display on the bottom. You can actually fine tune the auto blip by your self at home

hey Thanks for the good explanation, helped me a lot with the installation in my R1 2015. However, I now have the problem that my blipper and warm-up mode works, but my standard quickshifter no longer works. Do you know the problem and maybe have a solution?
Have you solved this? I read online that you need to set your actuation pressure correctly. Its set very hard from factory, so you may still be used to yamaha spec QS
Hi, just bought the auto blipp on my 2019 r6 is this allow me to downshift without clutch as will as upshift? The 2019 r6 already quickshifter as standard. Thanks in advance

Just a little confused with the Oem QS wire goes into the translogic harness
@@RTK171 if you have the translogic quick shifter with auto blipper there is 2channel from the sensor. 1 is for upshift which is connected to the eom shifter cable and the down shift connected to the throttle body (I think ) its been a while since i did mine so im not 100 percent sure. but it’s so easy to follow the wiring if you have the installation manual that comes with the parts. Hope this help I would love to assist you all the way the installation is you leave nearby
@@daddi_dan8053 Im confused on that still. I have the oem quick shifter, will this work for downshifting whilst keeping my oem quick shifter ? or will I need both the translogic quick shifter and autoblipper ?
Watching this makes me want to get the FT kit instead. Holy crap what a PITA install.
Can you still upshift without the clutch using this kit ? Seeing as how it plugs into the OEM quickshifter harness.
Hey thanks, looks pretty straight forward. However Translogic mentions on their website that you need "a trained professional with a dyno" to install this… how did you manage?

Yes it will
No it will not. A quick shifter is just for upshifts not autoblip
Did you use the standard factory quick shifter
The FZ did not come with a factory quick shifter. They started that in 2018 on the MT
