    Ty, a few days ago we chatted on Facebook about the dnla server. It truly works so well. But also the other way around, to get my media onto the oculus and my tablet, my phone and my projector (android)... tried to stream with Windows, it works, but not so good. But like you suggested to install Plex on the pc and this is great as well. All my Android devices use the VLC player, which can play the streamed media. That is great. I know it exists already a long time, but because of you talking and showing this dnla server, I took the step to stream media in my home network. I don't know why I didn't do this years ago...
    Thanks again, now here on TH-cam...

    Brilliant! Much easier them the sideloading, ES File Explorer version work around. Work a treat. Can grab files off NAS in UK for use overseas.

    This Works Perfect!!! Amazon had a fire sale 32gb GO 119.00 so I would imagine there will be allot of people looking at this.
    Trying to get a Y cable working for OTG and charging at the same time... Any Ideas.

      I've never had much luck with OTG cables that also charge, don't think it was really designed to work that way.

    Ty, I'm an older guy 72 and trying to keep up with the tech is a prob. Do I have to have their headset to join Oculus. I have a set and an LG X Power Phone. What do I do? Thank you ahead of time.

      Hi Larry, You'll need to install the Oculus app on your phone. You can install it from here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oculus.twilight&hl=en Once you have it installed on your phone, open it and it should walk you through setup. Please let me know if you have any questions with this once you do it. ;-)

    i have done everything, i created a folder inside the sd card, added a photo, but when I navigate with Skybox, the folder is empty, no media despite it shows there is 1 file inside. What am I doing wrong?

    HEEELLP. I activate DLNA Server on my Galaxy S8. I share a folder with videos. I connect to it using an Oculus Go that stay on the same Wifi network, using SKYBOX app. I can see the server, it has a green icon, but when I enter it, there are NO FILES !! If I put the same files on my NAS (also it do DLNA) I can see them without problems.

      Try stopping and then restarting the server and then refresh skybox.

      @@tycotech does not work. I tried also to completely reset My Galaxy S8, My Ocullus Go, or both together. Maybe that I should give some Android permission to DLNA app (tipically memory/content access), searching by myself in Android settings, because it does not ask for it ?? After this, I tried BubbleUPNP and it works, but it is not free.

    Hi how are you?please what kind of DLNA I can download for apple iPhone because I didn’t find the one you are showing on TH-cam?

    • @tycotech
      @tycotech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I couldn't find anything that works the same for iOS. Apple blocks sharing to anything but Apple devices (like Apple TV).

    Grest video! Using my phone as a wifi hotspot for my GO, what will the bandwidth be?

    • @tycotech
      @tycotech  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on your phone and provider. But you won't use any data when streaming from your phone to your Go.

    Anyway to sideload without using ADB on a PC?

    • @tycotech
      @tycotech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope, only way for your computer to talk to Android. Just download the folder in the description, put it on your C drive, plug in your go, double click cast to PC in the folder and you can drag and drop APKs to the casting window and they'll install automatically. It's SUPER easy.
