Elephant Gave A Signal To Her Baby Not Go Beyond The Limit - ElephantNews

    Every baby elephant is born mischievous, curious and challenged by their surroundings. But no matter how naughty the baby elephant may be, instinct teaches them to be attentive. Observe Chaba. She begins to chase after the dogs that are sitting near the cameraman on the river bank, but when her mother gave a soft signal to not go beyond the limit, Chaba hesitates and considers and then swiftly returns to her mother. To observe the elephant is to be immersed in beauty. If we open our eyes and hearts to truly see the behavior of animals, we will be overwhelmed by their expressions, and humbled by their accord with that which is highest in ourselves at Elephant Nature Park. This is a wonderful depiction of how loving and smart they are.
    This channel continues to teach us about these elephants. The best part is having an opportunity to just observe. Without music … just natural sounds. I’m continuing to spread the news about this channel and grow this channel. It takes a lot of money to rescue, provide veterinarian care, mahouts and food. -Seattle Family 🇺🇸💕

      Another great channel for learning about elephants is HERD Hoedspruitt Elephant Rehabilitation and Development. There is a herd of elephants that live on a reserve, they accept orphans into their herd. The owner of the reserve has worked with this herd since 2002 and knows their individual personalities quite well. They provide a lot of education about elephant behaviors, anatomy and so many other things. Right now they are integrating a 2 year old albino calf into the herd, while providing her with bottles around the clock and providing the herd with a protected place at night and careers that accompany them out to forage during the day. It’s a great place and I have learned quite a lot from them.

    I believe elephants are just as intelligent as we are. Probably more protective than we are and possibly even have a soul or some kind of moral code because of the compassion they have for each other. Just because we can’t understand their language doesn’t mean they are less than us. They communicate with their herd and other elephants many miles away, often warning other distant elephants of danger or concern. They communicate with each other and therefore are able to operate as a team. They are extremely impressive to me.

    • @gabe-po9yi
      @gabe-po9yi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was phenomenal when it was learned they communicate below our hearing level. Now, if we could only figure out the things they say to each other!

    • @DianaBamaRN
      @DianaBamaRN 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gabe-po9yi check out the work being done by Joyce Poole nd associates in Amboseli National Park. Maybe 30-40 years worth of daily study of known individual elephant and their herds have given us an incredible amount of knowledge but one of the best things it has given us is the Elephant Ethogram. An extensive collection of small behaviors and individual sounds made by elephants with an explanation of the meaning of those actions and sounds. A small example is the well know particular rumble made by the matriarch meaning “Let’s go this way” at which a herd will simultaneously begin moving in a certain direction at the matriarch’s pronouncement. And thousands and thousands of many more examples effectively translating the elephant language!

      Baby stops before any audible signal from Mama. It seems that Chaba instinctively knew she was pushing the limits... Or, perhaps Mama's signals began outside range of human hearing, causing Chaba to stop?
      At first I wondered if the trumpeting was a human blowing through a hose (as I had done as a child). I noticed Mama's trunk was underwater during most of the trumpeting; do elephants vocalize through both their mouth and their trunk? I've always assumed the sound only came from their trunk!
