I don't know for sure but I believe a vote would have to go through the house and senate. We haven't had the votes in the house to get an expansion.
That's something I need to look into. If so, that's one more reason to gain majority in the house and hopefully add a couple to the senate.

And a pardon is an admission of guilt regarding committing a crime, yet why would Nixon need a pardon if as Trump is claiming, presidents have absolute immunity?
And at the same time as a former Republican president is arguing primarily that he as president (but has to concede other president also do) has absolute immunity, Republican Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, James Comer is saying he will be making criminal referrals to the US Justice Department of President Biden as a possible 'exit strategy' regarding his failed Biden impeachment inquiry.
And even Trump himself laughably described Obamagate (despite not actually stating what it was) as:
“The biggest political crime in American history, by far!”

What happened to my country and the people in politics and the court? There was a time you can expect the Supreme Court to make the choice in the benefit of the American people much faster. If we are not all equal to the laws then we are not equal or fee people. Simply said.. Having a king makes non of us free people and freedom no longer does or can exist.
The oath of office of the President would have to be changed in that if the President has blanket immunity he would not be vowing to uphold our sacred Constitution. What, would he just “swear to do the best he could?”

There should be a new law about how a supreme court justice is chosen to include CIA style background checks and timeline for the pathway and it not be allowed to sit on the appoinment for more than 60 days.
So what do you think of this? I think more people would be trying to keep up with the information on the threat to our democracy when presenters keep in mind that we are out here we are listening, but when a panel (a wonderful panel of resource people) speak mainly to each other or don't realize that the general public do not know the shorthand terms used by "insiders" for groups, or bills, or laws, etc. Just a thought.

Regarding Ford pardoning Nixon, the President is the Chief Law Enforcer for the Executive Branch. A sitting President can pardon ANYONE before or after an official investigation.
Exactly & after the investigation it was clear that Nixon should not have been pardoned. He didn't pardon him bc of the investigation's results. He pardoned him bc they were friends. Out of loyalty.

For sane adults, there are only two options: 1) Somehow there is the most inconceivable and complex conspiracy to stop the worst possible spokesperson for unpopular policies, (but not stop the many other people advancing those policies) or 2) He is a serial con-man and the law is slowly, but finally, catching up.
