Oh my God.....🤯
Except that's Kaine, sadly.
I thought so too, but Peter was with Kaine.
The Amazing Spider-Man I don’t think it was unintentional. They also botched it
Danny D's World They combined Ben Parker with Kaine in the cartoon.
I'd like to see a video of every star wars game ranked! There's a lot of them, and they range from good to bad!
I was so sure they said they were working on it.
@@josesosa3337 they probably work on multiple lists at once
"and they range from good to bad" really? who would have fucking thought it? I mean if they didn't, how could they be ranked, am i right?...
@matt fahringer fuck yeah
havent played every game but Tie Fighter and Galactic Battlegrounds 1-2 were my most played :)
39:34 It takes Spider-Man way too long to defeat that bird.
A sentence I never thought will be made
Ultimate Spiderman is my personal favorite. Currently playing through it on my PS2 with my 5 year old son. I mostly help him when he starts to struggle, which happens very often.
The newest Spiderman games are great don't get me wrong. I just love the comic book feel of Ultimate Spiderman. The celshaded graphics have aged beautifully, the gameplay and controls still feel solid, and playing as Venom is just the icing on the cake! Super fun!!
USM is straight out of the comics like literally no other comicbook game has ever been, since it was not only written by Bendis as a follow up to a storyline from the USM comic, but the art style almost perfectly emulates Mark Bagley's art.
My first comic book ever was USM #3, so the game is very close to my heart, but yeah even separating it from my nostalgia and bias, it holds up really well!
I kinda forget about this one but yeah it kicked ass. I remember loving it back in the day.
Sm3 over Web of shadows boggles the mind.
agreed, spider-man 3 for PC and ps3 felt really unfinished
Spider-Man 3(PS3/360) doesn’t come before web of shadows(PS3/360) on the list, lmao.

@@casualcookin3893 Yeah, the mcu rendition is rather small, isn't it? Personally, I hate how the mcu has treated Hulk over time, turning him into a joke :(. The silver and golden age comics on the other hand could never tell how tall Hulk is. Sometimes around 7' or so, some times over 10'.
i feel like spiderman 3 on 360 and ps3 is way underrated, i actually enjoyed that game back in the day

Pretty glitchy and looks worse than 2 somehow. Maximum carnage shouldn’t be that low cause it definitely wasn’t boring. Fun fact it is one of the only Super Nintendo game with a red cartridge

The game of “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions” also had a lot of cameos of a lot of previous voice actors who has voiced Spider-Man in cartoons.
Amazing Dimension: Neil Patrick Harris - Spider-Man: The New Animated Series
2099 Dimension: Ted Schwartz - Spider-Man (1981) / Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends
Noir Dimension: Christopher Daniel Barnes - Spider-Man: The Animated Series
Ultimate Dimension: Josh Keaton - The Spectacular Spider-Man: Animated Series

I like how in that series they brought in quite a few obscure Spider-Man villains in that series.
But I remember growing up with the 90’s Animated series when I was a kid.
I love how well you guys do the gradual tonal shift from negative to loving over the course of these long lists. It's both good writing and good execution, which is what makes me enjoy these long lists most of all. I would choose to be bitten by a radioactive armadillo so that I could roll around at the actual speed of sound.
Very true. The gradation has been done masterfully.
Well, he didn’t say anything good about Edge on Time which is at number 14, not one thing
I was actually realizing that as it went along. I really grew to loving these videos as a result
When I watched this I was like, "I swear, Ultimate Spider-Man better get top 5"
I find it odd that it was ranked under Spider-Man 2
I was expecting top 3 if I'm honest, as much as I enjoyed Shattered Dimensions for it's great story, it didn't even have an open world!
Ikr. Actually it's my favorite spiderman game. The freedom of movement and the combat variation and of course the comic books style
Not played Ultimate. After watching this I have just ordered it for PS2 as I don't have the other two consoles luckily or my mind would have popped trying to decide.
@@krimsonkakarot4945 haha I just ordered it as well since my old copy won't work. It's such a fun game. If you want to 100% the game then I wish you good luck. It's quite tough in some areas. But I live the web swinging and the open world, along with the cutscenes and music. This is one Spidey game I don't care to change suits in because the default is so perfect
I've literally never heard about half of these games..
3 quarters.
Maximum Carnage should've been higher.
And after Separation Anxiety
The fact that Separation Anxiety is rated better... Wow. It makes me wonder if they even played Maximum Carnage. It's a super fun game.
@@billyd530111 He also downplayed its difficulty. MC is hard!
Yeah dude I love that game and this guy put it at the bad Spiderman game list and its not "boring"
yeah, maximum carnage is very fun and very difficult. i have yet to beat it but always have fun trying. separation anxiety is a game a tried once and never again, no point since mc is better in every possible way.
Wait, there were two different voices on this video?
There usually are in these videos.
He’s voice acting 2 people as part of his act
16:01 aww I actually really enjoyed that game as a kid. Might be my child mentality at the time that looked past the flaws and just really enjoyed being Spider-Man.
It’s rightfully critiqued but I myself really enjoyed it when I was young. I still have my old GBASP and the game itself, so I might have to replay it now for old time’s sake 😂
Most kids are like that
It's quite good imo, and I feel it's not as buggy as he says it is.
Same with Spider-Man 2 DS for me.
My favorite is web of shadows, the speed of the swinging as well as the web animations, the arial combat is nothing we've seen to this day in this quality and the symbiote infested zombie-like new york is a nice change. It'S just great, and tthe fact it was made in A YEAR made it even better for me.
The graphics aren’t close to spider man ps4 LoL!
@@lonelylama5222 you do know graphics isnt the main thing in a game right?
@@lonelylama5222 no shit its a game made in 2008 💀
@@lonelylama5222 Graphics don't matter if the game's story is well-written.
While the mechanics is WOS still stand apart from any of the later games, story wise it just doesn't feel like the wise cracking Spidey in the bustling New York, even if dystopian.
It's like making a campy Batman game.... It may be fun, but it could just as well have been anything else. The Insomniac games hit it out of the park.
People can judge me, but I like the version of Spider-Man 3 for PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. Has lots of problems but I think It was fun enough for fans. The variaty of villains and storylines that tie together to tell the main plot about the black suit, which is actually very well explored in the game, how Peter slowly realizes what the suit does to him. The game handles the black suit much better than the movie did. Played It a lot on PC.
Putting Maximum Carnage and Separation Anxiety so low on this list is absolutely criminal. Those games incorporated full comic panels into the story, added comic book style effects with every attack, and had some great side-scrolling beat ‘em up fun that (while mind numbing) was very enjoyable and kept me interested with each play. I realize they aren’t perfect titles, but come on, it was SNES and it was a miracle to even make a game at that point, let alone a masterpiece. Think of what the development team had to compare their project with at the time. You can’t expect a game with Spider-Man PS4 quality on a retro console title. Other than that, pretty nice list.
To be fair, Separation Anxiety didn’t have the comic panels-just walls of text. It was really disappointing compared to Maximum Carnage, which played a huge role in making me a big Spidey fan.
Wanna know what game does all that stuff 1000 times better?
Comix Zone
No argument here. Comix Zone is also -- somehow -- 1000 times harder! 😀
Yes! Plus, I think this is the only person I've ever heard say they didn't Maximum Carnage was particularly difficult. WHAT?!?!
I disagree with your take on the SuperNes. That console has a large selection of some of the best games of all time.
Outside of the ranking of Separation Anxiety, I've enjoyed this list.
To me, Shattered Dimensions is the second best Spider-Man. But number 3 isn't a bad ranking.
I actually loved the Amazing Spiderman 2 for console back in the day, and I didn’t care for how it looked and felt, I just wanted to be Spiderman. I felt that was actually the first true video game I played.
Lol
THANK YOU finally some one who agrees with me
I like how Spider-Man 2000 and Enter Electro are the only two game whose soundtracks are given a special mention.

I feel like Edge of time was cucked hard in this video. The story is actually pretty good. Altho gameplay may be repetitive, the story really brings it more up there for me. The game has good actors, fun story, and makes you go on the edge of your seat, and looking at one spiderman helping another threw Messing with time itself, graphics are great too at the time. Spiderman 2099 shows his stuff, especially when he saves peter showing the true difference between them showing how cool he really is and how Peter is more faster between the spider men, I respect your opinion I just believe edge of time should be higher and more credit then it should be getting.

Another round of kudos for ya, Philip and James. These can't be easy, to write/edit, but you guys always do an excellent job!
Certainly not easy, when they can't even tell that the Genesis and Sega CD versions of Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin are two different games.

See what he did there?....yeah. 🤣👍
Typed this in the search bar and this was the exact video I was asking for. Good job
Mysterio's menace should be way higher. It's a lot more enjoyable than some of the later games look to be.
I really enjoy that you gave "Amazing Spider-Man" for GB so much love. It was my first GB game and I still can go through the first 3 stages without much of a hazzle. I remember that I can´t wait for christmas that year and getting the GB & this game. It will always have a special place in my heart.
Amazing Spider-Man 1 for the PS3 was so much fun. The story was just ok but the amount of stuff to do in the city, specially the awesome way you collect flying comics in the air was just great.
I haven't played the one for the PS4 but I hope they use that comic feature at some point if they haven't. It's just awesome.
i enjoyed TASM for a bit, but now i don't really like it, however the comic collecting was pretty rad and unfortunately Insomniac's spider-man PS4 doesn't carry that onward
Tasm was also one of my favorite game and it’s underrated in my opinion. I mean look at the mess Tasm2 was.
Ikr i really love the story its very unique and make it stand from other spiderman games

How the hell is Seperation Anxiety ranked higher than Maximum Carnage? Seperation Anxiety was garbage!
It's called subjective opinion
@@FATE522 when those are so nitpicky they couldn't be any dum then the opinion in it's self is stupid.
Maximum carnage looked better and didn’t deserve to be ranked so low. Opinions can’t be wrong though your just disagreeing with him you ever thought someone has a different opinion then u?
@@kpitgro3012 I mean they are so nitpicky that their complaint was literally explaining a beat'em up.
ilovedogs99 if an opinion can’t be wrong then that means they’re all right! ?
You had one job: include the Atari 2600 Spider-Man on the list...
...and you did. Excellent.
I'm currently playing ultimate spider man again and I love it, easily my second favourite spider man game next to marvels spider man.
Here's a ranking of the games I played (note that I count only games with Spider-Man as their main protagonist, so don't expect games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance or Lego Marvel Superheroes):
13. Spider-Man Friend or Foe (it's a game made for kids and a copycat of Lego games, except not as fun; the only good thing about it is the ability to play as Spider-Man's villains which I always enjoy in a game; I'm just that kind of guy who always prefers the villains to the hero, and in Spider-Man's case, there are some really interesting and memorable villains; unfortunately, this premise is wasted on a standard beat 'em up)
12. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (the only good thing about this game are the costumes and free roaming through Manhattan whilist stopping crimes, but even that gets very repetitive after a time)
11. Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro (the forgettable sequel to the most important Spider-Man game of all time; there's nothing really to criticize about the game, as it's almost the same as the original and even improves on the gameplay, other than the fact that everything about it is forgettable due to playing it safe and not changing too much)
10. Spider-Man Edge of Time (the mediocre sequel to the very memorable Shattered Dimensions; I don't know why I don't like this game, seeing as to how it's almost the same as Shattered Dimensions, minus two out of four dimensions and some actual unique gameplay between the diffrent Spider-Men; also, starting your game with Spider-Man dying is the worst way possible to start a game; overall, the gameplay is overrepetitive and the two Spider-Men play almost the same, which is why it's a decent superhero game at best)
9. Spider-Man 3 (just like the movie, it's very underrated, because people don't know how to look at it; it's just dumb fun; as long as you don't take it too seriously and try to enjoy it for what it is, it's actually a very decent superhero game; also, I enjoyed playing as the New Goblin)
8. The Amazing Spider-Man (the premise was deffinetely... interesting, but I don't like how it turned important villains like Rhino or Scorpion into mindless monsters; many things in the game were unique, such as the whole cross-species vs robots war, and I also liked being allied with the Lizard throughout the entire game; unfortunately, it tried way too hard to copy Batman: Arkham Asylum and City, and ended up as nothing more than a decent, but forgettable superhero game)
7. Spider-Man 2000 (the first 3D Spider-Man game, and just a classic; I love when superhero games aren't based on movies and are allowed to include as many cameos of other characters as they want - it makes them feel like they are actually part of the comics)
6. Spider-Man: The Movie Game (it was an overall decent Spider-Man game, but what made it unique and memorable for me was the ability to play as the Green Goblin)
5. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions (very basic premise, but that's part of its charm; really fun to experience four diffrent versions of Spider-Man and their universes, each with its own unique art style and villains; this game was also my introduction to Spider-Man Noir and Spider-Man 2099, who have become two of my favourite alternate versions of Spider-Man)
4. Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (very interesting premise, which was handled very well; it was fun to explore a Manhattan full of symbiotes, and also to team up with other heroes and villains to attempt to put a stop to the situation; the choice system and the diffrent endings were also fun to experience)
3. Spider-Man 2 (just overall nostalgic, the first open world Spider-Man game, and expanded the plot of already one of the best Spider-Man movies)
2. Ultimate Spider-Man (basically Spider-Man 2, but with a more unique art style, not based on a movie, meaning more freedom with the characters and the plot, more stuff to do and the ability to play as Venom; NUFF SAID!)
1. Spider-Man PS4 (duh, were you expecting anything else?)
back when i was like 6 i thought that the amazing spiderman 2 was like hollywood
3:26 He's taking a piss.
31:10 missed opportunity to say “friendly or foely”
I am amazed that you really got to ranked every spider-man game.
27:50 oh come on man 1 I know this game wasn't perfect but it was fun as hell . Not deserve that place ...
Yea
Waaaaaaa
You're high if you think maximum carnage and separation anxiety deserve to be so low imo lol
Agree
I'm glad the Mega Drive Spiderman vs the Kingpin is so high on the list. That game was really awesome. I always loved the Camera gimmick.
yoooo this list is exactly what i needed. i plan on doing a spider-man game marathon for his 60th anniversary this year and i wanna know what im getting myself into lol
web of shadows ds is actually pretty good imo.
Same with maximum carnage but everyone doesn’t agree with everything.
I was ready to chew you guys out, but I saw my favorite came in at number 5, and all is well, thanks for this
Why would you put your mouth on another person? Are you cannibal?
“Return of the Curse of the Creature’s Ghost” - kudos on the Mr. Show deep cut reference!
I think you guys are going to have to do a updated version of this list at the end of 2023.
I played Spiderman 2 on PC as a Kid. I loved It, Watching back at myself Im ashamed 😅
Noah Migliazza Me too it was my favourite game 😂
You shouldn't
Amazing 2 game for Xbox is Lowkey underrated. The amazing 1 is my favorite Spider-Man game followed by ultimate then Spider-Man 3
This must’ve took days to put together! How long did it take to find the footage?
Were the subtitles uploaded from an unfinished version of the script? The video and audio both say that Spider-Man for the Hyper-Scan is ONE OF the five games released for the system, as indicated by the depicted Wiki article list of games. The subtitles incorrectly call it the fifth and last of them.
I liked the thing in Friend or Foe where you could fight each other as the different characters. It isnt a huge plus though lol
I really am glad Ultimate Spider-Man got a high mark. At least, the good versions of it, the DS one is a hot mess sometimes. It's super underrated tbh and deserves a lot more love. Plus, the GBA version is a surprisingly solid game, and I'm really happy that didn't get overlooked.
Dope TH-cam channel , defs deserves more subscribers.
Great video
Web of Shadows is amazing it's up there with one of my favourites
So happy to see Enter Electro in the top 20😂👌
This video is amazing!
Thank you for helping me find Ultimate Spider-Man on the DS again. I played it all the time as a kid
