@@RotaryandRides I have a Z1000. I can't find a lot of documentation online about mods or maintenance. There's the necessary but there isn't someone like you making everything clear in one go
I'm looking at getting a 2009 gixxer 600 and so I'm hoping watching this video will help me learn more about things i need to do to maintain my bike and things to look for when buying my first bike. Thanks for the video, cheers!
@dartanyin Hey, thanks for the positive feedback. I would imagine everything will be pretty similar to this model, so you should be able to follow the same steps tbh. Let me know in the future if you do get one and if this video did help in the end for a 2009 model 👍
@lynxeffect84 thank you, I will be making a full review video with on board footage soon so keep an eye on my channel. I just need to find the time and weather to start it off 👍 You will love the GSX R if you buy one.
@@RotaryandRides it will be my 1st bike and everyone seems to say it's the best for the street and most comfortable, I've subscribed and wll be watching !
@StephenOrourke-p1c Thank you for the positive feedback. It's such a nice feeling getting back on the bike knowing everything is freshly serviced. Enjoy 👍
@andrejobradovic1822 hey, thank you for the positive response it's nice to know how the videos are coming across to you as a watcher. Feel free to Write back in the future and let me know how you got on with your bike 👍
@ridewithgareth Hey, Yeah I found that out after I posted this video up lol it was a learning curve and now I have spares for next time. Thanks for letting me know anyway 👍
Lovely video. As you did defo pour some fresh oil into the filter before fitting, worth filling up as most will get absorbed into the filter. This means the bike is running without oil for the shortest possible time. 🔧 Nice tip about the copper grease at the top of the spark plug, thanks. Also that small cap unscrews form the spark plug.
Definitely enjoy seeing your motorcycle tuned up all those things ! I recently got mine alike yours and u can see one of my videos yourself if u like 👍! I’m still working n learning things bout it !
@MrDarkspider99 hey, thanks for the positive feedback I try my best and am very new to this motorcycle myself it's all a learning curve lol Yes, I shall check it out now 👍
@neilrees1186 Not sure tbh I'll have to check. If they are different, then I'll be making sure they are a matching pair in the future using the best tyres for road use possible 👍
@K6Gousy Hey, this came installed on my bike when I bought it and doesn't seem to have any branding on it, which is annoying. Might be worth putting a post on a forum asking what others recommend installing.
I just changed mine. Took bike off stands to lean, waited and its leaking coolant. What did I do wrong? Did I get a faulty part. All bolts are flush. What i Do see is the part that enters the bike with the big O ring does not go in fully when i look under the bike, is that how its supposed to be??
@daekwon9650 hey, the only thing I can think of other than it being a faulty part is the shaft on the water pump has not engaged properly with the mating component inside the engine or there could be grit or something that's prevented it from engaging fully. It's hard to give you an answer without seeing the bike in person, I hope you get this issue sorted
@kimchy4692 Thank you for the positive feedback. The answer to your question is I don't need to keep the side stand down. I just forgot to pop the stand back up tbh. The Bike is running so good now since all the work has been carried out 👌
Hey, can you comment on the use of red rubber grease vs silicon grease? What you can and can't use silicon grease on? I've been told silicon is generally better but are there areas that it shouldn't go? Thanks!
Hey, I'm no professional and could be wrong here but I think the difference between the two is they both have different temperature melting points which is probably why you shouldn't apply in certain areas because it will cause the product to dry out and crack! I think Red rubber grease protects rubber from cracking and deterioration and Silicone grease protects surfaces from water, rapid aging, and high and low temperatures. I'm always learning myself and I try to research and learn off others too. So far the areas I have applied the red rubber grease on the GSX R has caused no problems.
Hey man, is there any way you could let me know where you bought the water pump? I don’t want to buy the OEM Suzuki one for $230 and yours seems to have no issues, if you could get back it would be greatly appreciated
@crackshot3454 Hello, Yes, no problem, I bought mine brand new from a seller on Ebay. If you type in this number 313724535833 in the Ebay search bar, it should bring up the exact one I have in the video. I bought and fitted this about 7 months ago now, and I've had zero issues 👍

Hi, awesome video, really helphfull ! I have a 2006 GSXR 600 too and this helped me a lot. I would like to relocate my regulator as yours. I can't find something similar of what I saw in your video here in France. Is that possible for you to share me the specs (mainly dimensions, and holes places) of the metal plate you have to relocate regulator on the side pls ? I can't find it, so I'm gonna charge someone to make it for me.
Thank you for the positive feedback. I just found a relocation bracket on ebay for you, type in this number 395415302002 in the search bar on ebay and it should load up for you 👍
@neilrees1186 Yeah, it's a personal choice what you choose to use. I just did some research before the service looking for what was the best products possible and going by other owners reviews, not worrying too much about cost. Regarding the air filter, again it's personal choice whether you stick to genuine or aftermarket. So far, I've had no problems with any of the products used tbh, and my bike runs perfect and sounds very healthy, too. Everything in this video cost wise you could probably half if wanted.
I know it's personal choice but from experience 300v is over kill as it like a race. That's why I say 5100 or 7100 and k&n oil filter i stick to standard or same you removed. only advise. But enjoy the gsxr they great bikes

as @SillyGoose13281 has said the top of the iridium plugs that you have will unscrew off leaving you with a thinner threader top like your old plugs
