Really good breakdown, this video (and the series you've got here in general) deserves more views!

I remember freaking out about the distortion world with my friends around the swing set at recess! Things were simpler back then.

It's probably my favourite gen, but then it was my first so that's likely why. I think the physical/special split is one of the most significant improvements the series made though. HG/SS are technically gen 4 too, and are probably the best in the series imo.

I grew up with 3 and 1, but 4 is one of the only ones I can still play and think are still as fun. I wish I had the nostalgic love for 4 that I do 3, because it’s missing that magic for me, but in terms of how fun the game is to play it’s just one of the best

For the quality and sheer number of videos this channel has produced, I'm genuinely confused as to how there are so few views/subs.

Minimal negativity, no shit flinging, and no meme-ibility. TH-cam is relatively shallow in terms of what blows up

Great video, and very fitting with the sinnoh remakes being announced the same week! I’d love it if you made a video about Hollow Knight, it’s an amazing game.

How is the region having different Pokemon on either side of Mt Coronet "poignant"?

You just made me realize I've been using that word incorrectly, lol. I was using it as a synonym for notable, or something of that nature.

I have to admit, Pokemon Gen 4 is when I started to loose interest in Pokemon. I played through Diamond up to the point where I had to visit the 3 lakes and I wanted to catch Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf, but I was struggling with one, got frustrated and put the game down, and haven't picked it up since. I think a big factor for me is that I didn't like the designs new Pokemon, especially new evolutions for pre-existing Pokemon. I thought Electrivire was ugly compared to Electabuzz, who I loved. I was completely unaware of and disinterested in the battle and gameplay mechanics at the time, so I didn't appreciate all the new changes and advances this generation made. Supposedly, this generation, or at least Diamond and Pearl specifically, gets a lot of flack from long-time Pokemon fans, so perhaps a video about why this generation is, in fact, good is worth having. Of course, there's also this Pokemon Brilliant Diamond video from shoogles, formerly ShayMay, where he outright calls himself Gen 4's biggest fanboy, which I would recommend watching, but it's 11 hours long, so... might want to plan ahead with consuming that one.
