Having a quick look at another SR20 to RB25 conversion kit, the age old adage of "You get what you pay for" seems to ring true here by the ease of installation and quality of parts.
This is perfect for my sr20det Datsun pickup. The shifter location without the AO shifter adapter, is perfect!! I can use my stock center console. I basically need the stock RB tranmission, clutch pull to push parts, and the bellhousing adapter. The trans istelf is available from nissan for about $1300 USD.
Thanks for the video! I would've been nice to dissasamble the shifter to show how A-O have moved it backward. I wonder if the selector adapter is a new billet piece, or just extended stock one... As they wont sell it separate, I'm trying to figure out how to move the shifter backward and not cutting up my chassis...
Unfortunately it is installed into the car now but if the opportunity presents itself I will take one apart and record the details, I expect it to be a billet piece that simply adapts onto where the stock selector goes. For my 180sx which has a sr20 with an rb25 gearbox I installed a dogleg shifter to get the shift knob in the correct position but yes sadly I had to trim the chassis slightly. I don't believe another commercial option is available other than the alpha omega one which is annoying.
How much power was this vehicle making looking into options for a ca18 build and my options at this point seem to be something along these lines or a dogbox 😅
This car made around 300ish hp and it was just fine, normally 500hp is the happy limit for these gearbox's behind an RB25 or SR20 for drifting where we are fairly hard on gearboxes. As you get up there in the power range just be mindful of no super aggressive 3rd gear clutch kicks as that is a bit of a weak point, but a good driver can have one of these live for a long time.
Hey sorry for the late reply, I would say it is a great complete kit if you had the money to spend. If you wanted to save some bucks and do a little fiddling the Dellows kit is ok aslong as you understand the hidden extra costs (gearbox mount, driveshaft, shifter, etc), but if you wanted the one stop shop experience and to be able to just bolt everything in then the Alpha Omega kit is the go.

What’s the benefits of using sr box on an rb??
None. That's why people use RB box on SR.
So all in all would you say this is the best conversion kit on the market? And is it worth the money over the other kit you’ve done a video on?
