This is actually an amazing video. There aren't a lot of super beginner videos so this helps a lot to get caught up to speed for more complicated things. Thank you!
I just wanted to express my gratitude for the time and effort you put into creating such a helpful video for beginners. I recently developed an interest in 3D printing and decided to explore various modeling programs to see if I could design functional parts before investing in a printer. After downloading Plasticity and trying to follow along with some other beginner videos on TH-cam, I found the pace too fast and the instructions not detailed enough for someone new like me. However, this morning I gave it another shot and came across your video. The pace and clarity of your instructions made it easy to follow, and with a few pauses and rewinds, I was able to complete the gas can project. I’ve liked and subscribed to your channel! Quick question: Does Plasticity have an Undo command? That would have been handy when I hit X at an inopportune time :)
Clearly you have an excellent very grasp of Plasticity, .but this is most definitely NOT a tutorial! As a beginner I want to know what a new tool can do, and where do I start. These are two completely different things and you have mixed them up in such a way that I am regretting downloading the free version of the program. I will try your course, which does not get mentioned until the 32nd minute, but I'm not too hopeful at the moment.
Obviously, I can't cover in each and every tutorial all the basic tools & functions of the software. Exactly because of that reason, I've created a 6hours+ free course, going over the most basic & fundamental beginner tools and how to apply them first in simple practices and then in a high-quality Apple iWatch 3D model. Check it out here: nikitakapustin.com/free-plasticity-course Enjoy
Nikita - great videos - I am really liking this software! Question - I am having an issue with - if for example I cut a rectangle on one side of an object and I want the same on the other side how is that done? As when I mirror it it creates a sheet and I can even imprint it. It slowing done my progress.
I would love to invite oyu to our free Plasticity 3D community. Please create a post with your question in there and attach your plasticity project file and we will help you out You can join here: www.skool.com/ultimate-3d-membership-7140
