Trace Adkins tinha um vizinho que fazia parte dos "Marine Corps", os fuzileiros navais dos Estados Unidos. Sempre admirador do sacrifício dos militares que lutavam para proteger os EUA ao redor do mundo, e após o vizinho dele fazer 2 viagens para servir os EUA, ele decidiu criar uma música para homenagear os "Marines".
E como eu também sou admirador desses caras, e achei a musica foda pra caralho, resolvi legendar ela!
Trace Adkins had a neighbor who was a member of "Marine Corps". As an admirer of the militaries sacrifices who fought around the world to protect USA, and after his neighbor done 2 tours to serve US, Adkins decided to write this song to pay a tribute to Marines.

the part of his intro that gets me is the part when he says, "WE dont get to go where the marines are, and they don't get to come where we are because they usually in a hot area." It just reminds me when I see the Super Bowl and they show the Air Force or Army folks standing at attention. I always say to my self those particular troops are in the rear. Props to them for the jobs they do, it's just the part of Marines are usually in the HOT areas that gets me because that is mostly true. Oohrah, 3/1 Camp Horno

Funny he mentions Paris Island in July, that's when I earned my EGA back in the 90's, a difining moment in my life. Would not change a thing. Semper Fi brothers and enjoy our upcoming Birthday!

I just want to say thank you to my father, My grandfather and my uncle. They were Marines. Who fought for this country. And I'm so sorry that we're letting it go. What a shame.

I’m very grateful to every marine in the military and our soldiers who served. My heart signed up for the marines but I could not make it happen. This was back in the 90’s but today it’s still a soldier for one nation under God. Less of me and more of you Lord! Amen
