Did a quick inspection and cleaning of the carburetor…. Getting ready for the weekend and hopefully go for a drive.. Thanks for watching! I appreciate the support!
I enjoy hearing the sound of those fantastic engines. Be careful with the gas - don’t want a repeat of Jay Leon’s experience. In boy scouts they taught us that one gallon of gas has the explosive potential of 12 sticks if dynamite. That impressed me.
good day. In your video most parts were removed and inspected but the brass tube on upper section was not worked on or serviced. I am currently working on a similar carburetor and while trying to unscrew the throttle plate, regretfully the brass "tube" on the upper part of the carburetor broke in half. I suspect that it may be pressed in and I used a vice grip to coax it out and a further part broke with a section now still embedded inside. can you advise on how to take the broken piece out and its replacement. thanks
If I understand the tube you are talking about I think this a a guide/location pin that lines up the UPR to the LWR carburetor… it doesn’t effect the function of the carburetor but you’ll have e to make sure everything is lined up correctly, you might try online and get a kit, but I doubt it will include this, or buy a parts carburetor. I’m sure it is press fit and will be difficult to replace correctly… might just be better off buying a new carburetor.. I wish I had better options.. if I think of something else I will reply again! Thank you for watching! I appreciate it!👊🏻

Sorry I am battling to add photo. Ignore any content not related. Sorry.
Good morning. See attached photo with tube marked. Is this just a guide with no function. Thanks
Look at you! No fender cover or anything 😮
lol! 😂Thank you!!👊🏻
@@32modelbford39 i worked on classic Packard and Cadillac and if we didn't cover the fenders we would be shot.
