A higher heel, or heel higher than toe, is better if you have Achilles Tendonitis or pain in the back of the heel. This shoe is helpful if you are a heel striker, or if you strike the heel first then transition to the forefoot, or if you land in the middle of the shoe, which is why the middle of the sole is padded, like true modern running shoes. This instead of an arch with a supporting brace like in Y2K shoes.
Have you tried going true to size lengthwise and for the width instead of D (standard), try the 2E (wide)...
I owned these sneakers, but the area around the small 'NB' logo under the laces became an unbearable painful pressure point. Despite trying different lacing methods, the pain in that specific area persisted. I genuinely attempted to like them, but I had to return them. I wonder if I might have received a faulty pair. Despite being hailed as one of the most comfortable sneakers by others, for me, it was the most painful.
oh thats such a shame. they definitely are very comfortable for me. perhaps maybe try a different size the next opportunity?

the dark long sleeve i was wearing is actually a dark blue double breasted blazer i got from a shop in Japan called GU :)
its my favourite shop there in Japan coz its cheap and the sizing works well with shorter stumpier guys like me haha

10 minutes of talking then a few moments of "styling" the sneaker. Next time you should just make the title "I'm going to talk for 10 minutes then style the sneakers for a few moments" WOW, that sucked....
