Love this video - so simple and encouraging. I have used it twice now to make scarves for me and my partner from two different cake colours. Looking forward to trying something a bit different next :) Thank you!
That was my very first project ever. I thought I’d learn the craft, make the scarf for my Halloween costume, then move on. That was 16 years ago and I still knit almost daily! Fibre Flux had just got me into crochet in 2022.
This is great! I have never knitted something before but i wanted an aesthetic thing that i can claim that i made myself so i decided to knit. Now I’m gonna start! Thank you so much for the instructions!
I think that if your trying to find the best needles, use the Bamboo ones. They work well and she is right when she says that they don’t slip. I just recommend the Bamboo
I absolutely love this project and will do it. The yarn is on order now! What I’d like to know, though, is how you managed to have the colors change so evenly and not in the middle of a row?
Hey I am an absolute beginner and I made a scarf like yours after get inspiration from your video. The colour scheme of mine is a little different. It's bright purple, royal blue, shocking pink, bright Pink, tea pink and margined with baby pink. It's length is 5th 6 inches and width is 10 inches. It took me 1 month to complete it but it came out amazing. I used 4mm knitting needles and medium sized yarn 🧶. Thanks a lot for inspiration and guidelines . I made it as a gift for my younger sister. She loved it too. I know it's very late but thanks a lot.
Hi haven’t been on ytube in awhile because I’m now knitting yay 😀 after crocheting for ever I never thought I could knit I did watch your videos library on cast on knit stitch purl stockinette they are so helpful for all interested I learned all these from your videos especially cast on which I think is hardest to learn. I wondering if you could show how to do a kfb I cannot seem to get that at all😊 I love the scarf the colors look fall and spring like💕
Thanks Jennifer! I love crochet but I also wanted to work on my knitting. I struggle with it more then I ever did with crochet! I do want to overcome it and learn I really like the finished look of it all. Thanks for teaching this!
Hats of any size are a nice project.............CO 54 sts, K2, P2, for 9", and sew up the seam. For adults, I use chuncky yarn w/ size 11 or larger needles.
I know how to crochet and i always thought knitting was harder but its kinda the same 😂 I hope i have free time to learn more about knitting. Great video 👍
I just wanted to say thank you for this tutorial! I have been trying to learn to knit just to make some simple things (I already crochet, so it's just to complement for things that work better knitted), but O have been struggling. Even watching several other TH-cam tutorials I just didn't understand it. This video made it so easy though! The way you explaining it really worked for my brain and I was instantly like "oh *of course* this is really easy". And now I have knitted a scarf for my son in just a couple of days. :D
Forsome reason whenever I try to knit the first 'real' row, everything just unravels when I try to pull the stitches from one needle to the other - I make *sure* i have the loop with me, but just...nothing happens :/ Maybe I should just go back to crocheting... it's easier... XD (to me, at least)
Thank you so much for this video. I had a very difficult time figuring this out, but I just needed to rewatch and really pay attention. You made it easy to understand.
Thank you so much for the video! It was great to follow along with someone! Also I loved how you explained and showed what you were doing with the needles and yarn so clearly, thanks!!

Kept him warm in Toronto and Montreal!

Bro that's literally the sweetest thing I've ever heard

Omg I love you! You are such a good teacher! I bought an expensive book which was supposedly for beginners and it made me want to weep out of frustration!
This was wonderful!! I crochet but have always wanted to try knitting but was always confusing for me. Your tutorial was so easy to follow! Thanks for your detailed and slow step by step instructions. Please make more easy beginner friendly tutorials for knitting.
Best scarf knitting video I found. I actually made a scarf thanks to this video!! 🙌🏼
Your tutorial makes it seem really super easy! I can't wait to get yarn and needles and try this out! Thank you for this video!!
Good for you!
Love this video - so simple and encouraging. I have used it twice now to make scarves for me and my partner from two different cake colours. Looking forward to trying something a bit different next :) Thank you!
Years ago, I made my friend the 4th Doctor's scarf from the show Doctor Who. I used these techniques, and it was so easy to do 💖
That was my very first project ever.
Thank you so much for the instructions!
ok after I tried the plastic needles THEN I tried my metal chopsticks my grandma laughed loudly. I was like "Oh God"
Thank you I needed a scarf for the winter coming !!!!!
Your video helped me. Everything is perfectly explained
Thank you so much for this video! 😘💕 I'm an absolute beginner and I guess I now have something special to give away this Christmas! 🤗
thank you so much omg. i learned to crochet with my grandmother! going to college soon away in nyc and wanted to learn how to do stuff :)
I think that if your trying to find the best needles, use the Bamboo ones. They work well and she is right when she says that they don’t slip. I just recommend the Bamboo
I am more a crocheter than a knitter but I've always wanted to learn. This tutorial was super helpful, thank you.
I wondering if you could show how to do a kfb I cannot seem to get that at all😊
I love the scarf the colors look fall and spring like💕
Thanks Jennifer! I love crochet but I also wanted to work on my knitting. I struggle with it more then I ever did with crochet! I do want to overcome it and learn I really like the finished look of it all. Thanks for teaching this!
Gonna knit my boyfriend a scarf this christmas, this is so helpful! Thank you!
I dont have needles but i used chopsticks XD
Gelabee Too cute same XD
The first time I tried knitting didnt go so well
On a completely unrelated note
Pencils are not knitting needles
It is what it is
Allie's Summer Tree *it is what it is*
I used hair chopsticks
Thank you! This is the only video that ACTUALLY does it easy ☺
Thank you! Now I can attempt to make the 4th Doctor's Scarf.
Purl knitting

@@employee4272 wAIT ME TOO
@DoorMatt_Williams ;3 WE ALL OUT HERE SHARING A BRAINCELL
imagine that poor woman who knitted the scarf. Must have taken her weeks!
I'm autistic I have adhd and this really helped I've watched this about 20 times 😊❤
Hi!! I’m now knitting my first project ever thanks to this video!! What would you recommend for the next project for a beginner?
Hats of any size are a nice project.............CO 54 sts, K2, P2, for 9", and sew up the seam. For adults, I use chuncky yarn w/ size 11 or larger needles.
Wow!! Ur teaching method really WORKS for me!! I'm totally learning how to knit--- on TH-cam! Thanks a million!! I'm doing this!
Awesome!!!
Omg I have the same metal needles! TWINSIES! Also, this vid was really helpful,so thank you!!!
After watching like 3 hours worth of videos this is the one that made it click for me.
Im watching this so i can knit with my super-noodles.
I know how to crochet and i always thought knitting was harder but its kinda the same 😂
I hope i have free time to learn more about knitting. Great video 👍
I have those needles! Yeah, they are still at Joann's for about $5! 😉
This was very helpful. And definitely didn't feel like 20 min long. Great instructor
How long did it take you to knit this? (its gorgeous btw)
How do I keep adding stitches to each line. I'm going slow and watching closely but still keep adding
I keep adding stitches too and have no idea how that's happening. *sigh
@@heizelperez6384 It happened to me too, so I googled the solution. Happens a lot to beginners.
Thank you. I have knitted before but it's been over ten years. This is a perfect vid to remind me of what to do.
Forsome reason whenever I try to knit the first 'real' row, everything just unravels when I try to pull the stitches from one needle to the other - I make *sure* i have the loop with me, but just...nothing happens :/
Maybe I should just go back to crocheting... it's easier... XD (to me, at least)
I'm having the same problem, I can't figure out why.
This was the last place I expected to find Andy Biersack lmao
100% best youtube knitting teacher
Iam 13 years old im the beginner of this anyone here?
Thank you so much for this video. I had a very difficult time figuring this out, but I just needed to rewatch and really pay attention. You made it easy to understand.
I can figure out the cast on and stuff, but then I get lost on the actual 🧶 knitting
Thank you for posting this! As soon as my new knitting needles come in I'm gonna start knitting a scarf!
Hi Jennifer, thank you so much i got it😃. Wish u a nice weekend
This video was very detailed and made knitting seem like something easy, like turning on the light!
Me getting lost on the second step 😭😭
Thank you so much for the video! It was great to follow along with someone! Also I loved how you explained and showed what you were doing with the needles and yarn so clearly, thanks!!
im a 14 year old guy who’s nan has just passed. when i went to her house to grab a few things i would like, i decided to get some knitting needles and wool. she loved her knitting and i know if i learned how to knit too it would make her proud. rip nanny debra 30/7/22 🤍🕊
You should do more knitting videos for absolute beginners
My brother used to raise Suri's and Alpacas and saved a lot of their wool, but won't give any of it to me until I "Prove" to him that I can actually knit a quality product! So, I'm using a good homespun "Lion Brand Yarn" to knit a nice warm scarf. I like a challenge. And actually, years ago I knit a cool sweater for my then 18 month young son. It turned out pretty good! Kept him warm in Toronto and Montreal!
