@@lerc3690 As someone who just got an iPad 9, it’s not too easy to notice unless you are using it as a drawing tablet, but since I’m not artistic to save my life… it’s not a big downside for my needs. Movies and games looks great on the screen, and as someone who reads manga on the Shonen Jump app, digital manga and comics looks AMAZING on the iPad 9. It’s a great deal, but if you are looking for a drawing tablet… you should probably get an iPad with a fully laminated display.
@@lerc3690 The the iPad 9 works great for all of that, and you won’t notice the fact that the display is non laminated unless you are purposely looking at the side of the iPad. Also, the 9’s display is still a high class Retina display so your web browsing and content will look great. As much as I liked the extra bells in whistles that are on the other modern iPad models, I’m glad I got the iPad 9. I pretty much use it for the same things and it’s a truly amazing experience, especially given how affordable it is in comparison to say, an iPad Pro.
From Air 4 and Mini 6, I am now leaning towards this 9th gen as my first Apple Ipad😆 Been watching your videos (and others as well), seems like this is the most practical Ipad for me. The only thing I don't like is they limit the availability of color into only 2 unlike the previous gen. My mom and sis have their Ipad in gold which I kind of like. Sadly, gold is no longer on this gen.
As an iPad 9 owner, who uses it for taking notes at school and entertainment, don’t waste money on an external keyboard, and if you need a pencil try a replica for about 30€. Mine works great and the only downside is that it hasn’t the pressure sensitivity, that you need only for drawing; for a student’s use it’s perfect, it even has a magnet to attach it to the smart connector. Another thing you have to buy is a foldable ipad cover, so you can view your screen at different angles, it costs like 15€ on Amazon
I am watching on my ipad9. In a family with 5 members Everyone has an iPad. The standard iPad is best value for money. Love the new FaceTime camera especially useful for working from home. I have the Logitech combo touch keyboard which is fantastic for typing and I love having the function keys and touchpad.
I’m getting the iPad 9th Generation this weekend I’m excited for it since it’s my first iPad ever I got it for gaming because I been a mobile player for a while and I wanted to get a bigger size screen and I think the iPad 9th gen it’s a perfect iPad for a decent screen size and the price is amazing!

It's been 2weeks since I am using this beauty I still wonder how this is priced at 300$ This is my first time using an apple device .It looks fantastic , games run so smooth , no lag what so ever , procreate is just icing on the cake and lastly the iOS experience is out of this world It easily ace over my friend's S6 lite ( which btw is very laggy and only a month old ) Only problem I had with this is the wired aspect ratio and that speaker , Even at the max they are sub par 😢
I want to get into drawing in procreate, like emote design, cartoons, maybe some watercolour style painting. Would u say I would get an acceptable experience with this Ipad 9th gen?
It is good for normal drawing in procreate , though the non laminated display may bother you But according to my personal experience and drawing around 5-6 drawing on procreate You will easily get used to it

Thanks for another great review! I'm shopping for my wife, as it's FINALLY time to replace her ancient Galaxy Tab 4. I was initially shopping the Galaxy Tab A7, and your videos led me to the Galaxy Tab 6 Lite. Now, with the iPad 9 dropping, I've got to consider it. FWIW, she obviously keeps her stuff forever, so longevity and support are important. She never uses a stylus, and the tablets are simply media machines...used to do email, and check reddit, facebook, etc, and watch occasional youtube videos, while chilling in bed. Which tablet would you suggest is best for her? Thanks!
Longevity and support are important to her? iPad 9 is what you should get, it’s not even a question. Seriously, a lot of Apple devices are guaranteed 5 or more years of updates, even the base model iPads…meanwhile only flagship androids (phones and tablets) get 2/3 years of android updates while cheaper androids are lucky if they even get 1 year of support and longevity. The $329 iPad definitely blows ANY android tablet out of the water in terms of long term stability and support
And there is me buying an iPad 9th Gen spontaneously instead of a Samsung Galaxy tab not knowing anything about the model nor iPads nor Apple. I'm glad that the reviews I’m watching now speak so positively about my beloved iPad. (I'm a student, first time Apple user.) -
I traded in my 2017 10.5” IPad Pro for the IPad 9th generation. Better single and multi core performance in exchange for loss of 4 speakers & 120hz refresh rate. With apples current trade-in values I offloaded the 2017 iPad Pro for more than eBay’s average price (somehow below $200) costing me -$129 to upgrade. This gets me a brand new machine, retains my existing case/pencil, adds 20w charger ($19 value) and should receive updates for another 5 years and extend the inherent value of this device. I also purchased with Apple Card to save the addition %. All in all, it felt like a no brainer to trade in now before my 10.5 loses more value to a redesign. Thoughts on if I made the right move?
A very detail yet so easy to digest. Since day one they said ipad 9th is the best choice for online education and never thought it is good enough for gaming too. Thank you!
I'm going to buy one for myself to study and edit videos, it's a little expensive, but the way computers are expensive in Brazil it's a little more worth it
the iPad Mini and the iPad target different people. The reason the iPad sells is because of the performance it offers for its price, not the looks. At this price ($329 for the base), Apple has no significant competition.
@@lorenaescobar4198 I have about 173 GB. Left now, so 64 GB. Will not be enough for me. The reason that I go with 256 GB. because my old Air 1 have 128 GB. which still hard for me to manage the storage, what to keep, what to throw away etc. I keep a lot of music, pictures, videos on my iPad, so 256 GB. is less hassle for me to manage.

Now, I want one! I have the iPad 4th generation. While it's still working great, I'm planning on using it as a digital drawing pad and writing notes. I'm concerned that a digital pen may not work nicely with it (laggy and full of error). So, I'm thinking of trading in my 4th generation iPad for an iPad 9.

And apple products seem to last until you want a New one anyway. I know that I have shopped wisely ...... Thanx again Apple !!
Yes, you are correct about the glass on the CT screen, but if you crack the glass on the 9 it will cost you $98.00 to replace the glass vs Over $200.00 on any iPad Air and on any that the glass is laminated to the screen. Just something to think about before you by a new one.
Come to think of it, maybe i should have bought iPad 9 instead of Air 4. It's more... How to put this... Basic. For basic needs. Having an Air 4 on my hands i get a little confused on what to do with it.

I really appreciate and find value in your validation of the viability of the iPad 9th gen. with Apple Pencil. I am a hobby artist. 10-2021 I own and use regularly a 6th gen. iPad with Apple Pencil. I bought my 6th gen. iPad when it launched in 2018. I am a hobby artist and as such, I can not justify spending the higher cost for the more better iPads or drawing tablets or drawing PC's. That being said I am planning on saving up and upgrading to the 6th gen. iPad mini with Apple Pencil 2. I have been drawing on my 6th gen. iPad since 2018 to 10-2021. I have experience no slow downs or lags in my hobby art use of my 6th gen. iPad. But to have the latest Apple Silicon in the iPad mini 6th gen and the laminated display with Apple Pencil 2, and USB-type C, will be oh so worth it to me to upgrade too.
Thank you for the tip. ^^ I love drawing on my 6th gen. iPad. i have noticed no slow downs running the basic apps I use to draw with since the day I bought my 6th gen. iPad back in 2018. I will definitely upgrade in the future.
I hope you make a detailed video explaining how you use you numerous iPads. Like which iPad is for journal or note taking, which is for media consumption, etc...

Thanks I will be upgrading to the iPad 9 after trade in is like $80-90, which is great for twice the storage, faster and better front camera! The padding is also noticeable on the iPad 9, really hate how adding widgets it’s so annoying, first it removes a row of apps, then you can’t really put it anywhere, just like the apps they move next to the last app on the row, I miss iPadOS 14. Maybe in the next iPadOS we can go back to no padding around edges, no removal of last row and actually move the widgets where where you want. The three dots to do multi tasking is usually on the way of type bars on apps and I always press it smh.
Awesome Job, thanks a lot for this very informative and interesting video. I‘d say if somebody who’s looking to buy an iPad but doesn’t know which one exactly: IT ONLY NEEDS YOUR VIDEOS, and nothing else, to decide which one to get. 👌👍✅

Good to hear John. Holding me back buying the iPad 9 is the non laminated display, but you don’t see that as a big concern?
I also have the Air 2 and that’s the reason why I’m a little afraid of getting the iPad 9.
@@trevinodude I’ll just use it to manage my calendar, content consumption and web browsing.
I'm looking forward to getting mine on Sunday!
Cool!
CONGRATS!!!
Ooo nice
From where did you order, it seems to be out of stock everywhere
Your gonna love it.... it’s so worth it...
I have 6th and 8th gen iPads, and I might wait to see what they do with the 10th gen, but the 9th gen is very tempting.
Makes sense to me
I wonder next year there will be a 10th gen iPad
as cost cutting down, the current iPad Air 4 maybe turning to a basic entry level iPad
I’ve sold my iPad Air 4 and Apple Pencil 2 now I’m gonna switch to basic iPad because now they’ve got more storage
Do it I have the 8 and it’s a great experience
Get yourself a gold cover for the iPad
I got this a few days after launch - now April 2022 and after using it for a few months it’s amazing! I recommend it to everyone
Which stylus dis you get the AP1 is really expensive?
In my workflow, it was kinda impossible without a keyboard
Thank you for making me finalise my decision on getting the iPad 9
So glad I could help. Thanks for being part of the channel!
We got the iPad 9 for my son, the center stage is a game changer as he likes to hide from his teachers during Zoom classes, the camera follows him. Its so funny 🙂
That’s hysterical Michelle 🤣😂
I also got A iPad 9th Generation And Oh My God. It's Super Super Fun To Play On That Device. My Brother Has Been playing With it hours and hours thank you for sharing the video ❤️
Perfect explanation, no baloney, straightforward. What I like to see In a review. Please keep up the amazing work!

It's been 2weeks since I am using this beauty
I still wonder how this is priced at 300$
This is my first time using an apple device .It looks fantastic , games run so smooth , no lag what so ever , procreate is just icing on the cake and lastly the iOS experience is out of this world
It easily ace over my friend's S6 lite ( which btw is very laggy and only a month old )
Only problem I had with this is the wired aspect ratio and that speaker ,
Even at the max they are sub par 😢
I want to get into drawing in procreate, like emote design, cartoons, maybe some watercolour style painting. Would u say I would get an acceptable experience with this Ipad 9th gen?
It is good for normal drawing in procreate , though the non laminated display may bother you
But according to my personal experience and drawing around 5-6 drawing on procreate
You will easily get used to it
@@concofps it’ll be annoying at first but you’ll get used to it already
@@srijan-th8sh IPad 8 user here the speakers do suck but I have AirPods so idc for the iPads speakers since I use the AirPods a lot. Also since it has the headphone Jack I can conveniently plug in my wired headphones Incase my AirPods die
@@concofps of course
The Tablet that I like. With that price, it just Great
Such a good value!
Ipad 9 is a damn good iPad. I bought it the first week, and I passed down my iPad 6 to my dad. Now his iPad just conked out, so I have to decide to either get him a new iPad 9, or passed down my iPad 9 and (splurge myself) buy an iPad Air. I decided on the latter.
I also have a Ipad air 2 from 2014. Entry level Ipad has been great! after upgrade to ios15, it still runs smooth! So, I am planning to hold off for another year.
Unfortunately the front is full black. Prefer white bezels. That's why I bought a 2nd hand Air 3 with laminated display
The price in abroad, especially my country ipad is more expensive 30-40 % than US
And there is me buying an iPad 9th Gen spontaneously instead of a Samsung Galaxy tab not knowing anything about the model nor iPads nor Apple. I'm glad that the reviews I’m watching now speak so positively about my beloved iPad. (I'm a student, first time Apple user.) -
Watching all this on iPad 9 makes me smile a little 😊 Great content though 👍
Nice! Thank you for being part of the channel!
I love how you are factoring in price and are not like “iPad 9 trash iPad Pro good” like a person in the comments.
Thank you for the kind words. I think it’s important to look at every product as a function of cost. Thank you for being part of the channel!
@@TechGearTalk no problem 😉
I wanted to sub, then realized I was already subbed 👍
I appreciate the continued support!
A very detail yet so easy to digest. Since day one they said ipad 9th is the best choice for online education and never thought it is good enough for gaming too. Thank you!
I'm going to buy one for myself to study and edit videos, it's a little expensive, but the way computers are expensive in Brazil it's a little more worth it
I actually just got the iPad 9th gen for my birthday! 256GB version!
maybe they're saving more upgrades for the ipad x/10. best value to get into apple ecosystem.
That's possible.
Yeah but it's def gonna be a lot expensive than this
@@sid123abc not if they adapt the design of the iPad Air 3 to the iPad 10/X.
@@markmoncera5010 but they didn't do it for the iPad mini
the iPad Mini and the iPad target different people. The reason the iPad sells is because of the performance it offers for its price, not the looks. At this price ($329 for the base), Apple has no significant competition.
Thanks, I already ordered the 9 with 256 GB. /cellular. I’m typing this on the Air 1, so it’s about time. 🙏🏻👍😎
How is your memory going? I'm not sure if I shoud buy the 64gb or the 256GB
@@ViraDrama thanks for the response 😊
I have the iPad 6 and other than multitasking being choppy and my battery life starting to get noticeably worse than when I first got it, it still does basically everything just fine. Still fine for youtube, social media, light games, even stuff like cod mobile is fine imo which a lot of people say you need the recent iPads for. And that's coming from someone who has a gaming pc and a 144hz gaming monitor.
Your videos are really informative!
Glad you like them! Thanks for being part of the channel!
I’m buying mine for gaming and for editing my ps4 videos. I know that this iPad is going to get the job done 🔥

Absolutely agree with you on this! I have an M1 Pro and love Face ID...but I really do wish it also had touch!
Your iPad 9 videos are so helpful. Just ordered mine from the Apple Store but the ETA is still on december 😅 Anyways, thank you ♥️
So glad to hear that Sienna! Thanks for being part of the channel!
I’m still rockin with my ipad 7. Still does everything i need it to do 💪🏽
Your explanation is very simple and clean. Good bro keep it up
I’m still using my iPad Air 2 and currently thinking into upgrade to iPad 9
Worth it?
Getting mine next week, so excited!!
same 🤝
I stay in South Africa and just ordered one on contract for about 200 Rands which is like 15 Dollars per month. (24 months) cannot wait to use it for editing my TH-cam videos and most of my creative work. I am a Samsung user at heart but lately Apple has been getting my attention
I’ll buy it. How much
I have the 4th gen and I tried to trade it in but it's not worth anything.
@@LeanoSamwinga You're right! I checked yesterday and it's $20.
Will just get a new one then.

Thank you! I'm waiting for the iPad 9 to be delivered
I got the iPad 9 ...... & the iPhone 11, both in the fall 2022... $299 for the iPad & $300 for the iPhone . $600 for Both from Walmart. I don't need the latest & the greatest. And apple products seem to last until you want a New one anyway. I know that I have shopped wisely ...... Thanx again Apple !!
Glad to know! I’m getting this very soon! I simply can’t spend more and I am a very general user!💕
from what i see on battery drain test from other uTuber, iPad 9th gen and iPad lineup generation, always take no.1 champion battery life
Yes, you are correct about the glass on the CT screen, but if you crack the glass on the 9 it will cost you $98.00 to replace the glass vs Over $200.00 on any iPad Air and on any that the glass is laminated to the screen. Just something to think about before you by a new one.
Ipad 9 is great love mine, great battery, great screen for watching videos and playing games on and fast speed, it does everything i want it to.
would you recommend me to buying it for school and gaming? because it will be my first ipad
Come to think of it, maybe i should have bought iPad 9 instead of Air 4. It's more... How to put this... Basic. For basic needs. Having an Air 4 on my hands i get a little confused on what to do with it.
Looking at the upgrades of the other iPads, I think the iPad 10 would probably have smaller bezels and be significantly power.(maybe), anyways iPad baseline has always been an economical purchase, nice video!
I appreciate the perspective!
If the design was changed then it's Headphone jack was removed and just for bezzel less design you have to pay more than 329$ and it's processer would A12 which is not a upgrade
@@Amoghgamer69 I dont think so buddy, I think that they can improve design without removing other things, Its like ipad bezzel in 2021 are literally crazy. You cant find other device in this year which has that terrible design, If they dont do it, is because they dont want to but they can for sure, just look for the rest of devices of the market and u wont see that design, anyway Ipad 9 still being the best tab but they would should improve the design because looks so old and ugly..

Watching in my iPad 9 and its brilliant in every department ❤️❤️
Excellent info I'm buying one this weekend mainly for flying my drones hope it comes upto expectations.
I hope you make a detailed video explaining how you use you numerous iPads. Like which iPad is for journal or note taking, which is for media consumption, etc...
Just received mine today, it is very good.
I primarily want an iPad for drawing and digital art, I'm no professional I just want to start digital art as a hobby and I'm having trouble deciding between the iPad 9 and the iPad air 4.
If money is not a big deal for you then go with ipad air because it has apple pencil 2 support.

Watching this on my iPad 9 … It’s absolutely money worth device for this price
I got mine a few days ago and it’s a really good iPad considering it’s 300 dollars, one of the cheapest iPad yet!
