Great video! I have heard of "NIGHT FEEDING", but never tried it on new Discus Fish. This totally makes sense.

You taught me this tip a few years back and I have had to use it several times... It really does work. Anyone skeptical give it a try. Great content as always. Your channel is so underrated.

PERFECT TIMING!!! I just got a shipment of juvenile Discus about a week ago. 4 out of the 7 are eating, but I have been worried about the other three. I did everything step by step in your video and I was absolutely amazed that all three went up for food. This really does work. I can sleep a bit easier tonight knowing that I am on the right path with all these Discus babies. By the way two of the 3 that I was worried about happen to be yellow as well. I am curious about that now that one other viewer mentioned that as well. Hmm...🤗

I am always a skeptic on this kind of hack. I have two that are hiding and not eating. I watched the video earlier today and placed a small 5 watt bulb over the tank on one side. I had some freeze-dried worms in cubes but not that brand. I gave it a shot. I will be darned if they didn't both come out after a few minutes and take the first food I have seen them eat since a week ago. Great tip. Thank you, George. Love your videos. Not just scaping and tank building, but real information you can use. Cheers!

I appreciate you sharing your experience with us. Ironically I also bought 6 2/12 3 inches Discus and they are in a community tank so it makes it harder for me to feed them. Also the one that is more timid is a yellow one also.

I am finding that these yellow melons seem to be that way I have no idea from experience in the past why that would be? But there is something to it.

I want to makes sure I understand. You are leaving a small light on just for a few weeks until the fish start to feed? This is not a permanent setup? I think that is what you are saying

You should see results in a few days as long as your fish are healthy and water parameters are all in line. This is not a race it is all about results and saving your fish from getting so weak they can’t eat.
