Good work, gents! Your father in law's dry humor is terrific. Hint- put the rear wheels in the air and try the gears that way. Or repair the stuck clutch. I enjoyed watching.
I had 4 of these wagons - 262 hurricane, waaaay too much torque..top speed 55Mph hahaha great trucks! Although, finding a nose piece for that truck will be challenging. Keep up the great content!
Id give rugged wrench a 1000 likes and a car trailer if I could. You pick the most unique umm vehicles to get running. No matter who does the fixing it's always entertaining.
You sure that's a '47? Before about '50 or '51 they didn't come from the factory with flush mounted tail lights, like that one has. Pre '50's models usually had tail lights surface mounted on the tail gate. My father had a 1953 Willy's Overland Wagon 4WD, 4cyl. 134 "F" head engine.
@stephenyoung6260 i think it's not the original motor. Kinda pops the will it run bubble when the engine is newer and from a different vehicle altogether. It's still fun to watch.
@@Tyland-x4zYes, it's still a good video, but I, for one, appreciate that someone else knows the nuances of these vehicles and communicated it to the community.
That has a later model front end on it it would of had flat fenders in the 40s model that looks like a Ford over head valves engine in it not a Willy's would of been flat head 6 .?
@todddenio3200 fair lol tho i never pay attention to pronounciation as much as jeep vs willy's. theyre different. so should not be used interchangably. similar sure. but thats like comparing a suburban to an expedition. similar. but not the same lol
tho i could be wrong i think some willy's military vehicles were made by jeep or vice versa. im not a jeep guy nor willy's guy so not sure on details. but yea...
@davesirvio749 do your research and you will find it actually IS pronounced WILLIS. It is the company founders last name and THEY pronounce it WILLIS and I think I trust THEIR pronunciation over yours
it is what is 47 still any day all day i would put any other motor but that one yes they were redesign still old ford 300 or old 4 would be far better amc or new old jeep engine 350 -400 would be great 302-289

Thanks guys!
1 year older than myself. My Truck is 44 years but I don't think I'll be around to see it cranked decades after I'm gone.
New subscriber. Nice job on the '47 Jeep station wagon.
There was a feller in my neck of the woods he had a Jeep like this one he swapped a 96 xj running gear into the jeep Willy's wagon it was pretty cool.
The International in the background would be a great project
You need to buy the old IH truck next!
I was looking at that 😂
Nice try! Your FIL is got a great sense of humour.
A sonic cleaner works wonders with carburetors.
Question is what are you going to do with that Jeep? Maybe put the 4x4 drive train from a more modern Jeep under it? Was fun watching it run.
6v system and you put a 12v battery in it . Equals melt down the 6v points and probably the coil too
Bluetooth floor pans! Lol
Absolutely awesome 👌
Simply Amazing !!!
I had to laugh when he said its floor reminded him of the cars in MinneSNOWta. As a MinneSNOWtan, I can agree with his comparison.
Nice Jeep Nice show sir 😃😃👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍😍
I worked at Klondyke in Clearwater Fl back in the 1990's 😮
So what make and year model is the engine if it's not original?
the 1947 has a 6 volt system that why the pint melted you had a 12 volt batttery
Wasnt the 2wheel drive the postal version?
More people like calling it a Willy's more than Willis Arnold. Lol 😂
i hope you give it some tlc that thing is awesome
any twin stick or 205 old atlas or new style 5 speed even old 3 speed
You can't go wrong with a Jeep
Now if only it was a Jeep.... but it's not... it is a WILLYS station wagon.

How much you sell it for?
We didn’t sell it yet. Are you interested?
Fix it up , 25 years more, get that antique money. Bout as old as my daddy.
Doing the watchy watch watch here. 😮

24:59 Random cat!
Keep it looking derelict and fit track hawk running gear to it. Worth it to see the look on their faces?
Ebel Tanneo
