My auntie & uncle retired there in the 80s & lived in Camelot Gardens.Spent a few holidays there & had use of a beach hut. New sea defences had been built following the horrendous floods in the 50s the beach also had groyns dividing up the beach which now appears to have gone. I remember the Baccus Hotel & Grange & Winteringham solicitors, there was also a beach shop just before the ramp up to the promenade. Sadly both my auntie & uncle have both died many years ago. Happy memories.
@@GrahamLane-m5g lovely to hear this my auntie and uncle also had a place I think was in the same area and they used to love it there so I’m really glad it brings back memories thank you NeilR
There's a monologue by Doc Cox (formerly on 'That's Life') using a rather naughty pseudonym called Charabanc Trip that tells of a childhood day trip to Sutton on Sea. I wouldn't had heard of the place if not for that, but wondering if the attractions Doc talks about are still there nowadays.....will have to watch your vid to find out, Neil! Happy Easter 2024!!!
@@DianeEllard so after this video was released, I had a lot of bad response saying it’s not true what I am saying even though it’s on camera, so I have been told the council have had a mass tidy up. Enjoy your stay there 👍🙏😎
It's a place I've never been to. Had a great week last week in ingoldmells and I'll think about going to Sutton on sea at bank holiday for the day. Fish and chips and sloppy peas 😋

I would too scared of breaking something in the antique shop, so cramped and tight to get down the aisles
It’s amazing in there you should pay them a visit plus Sutton on sea is a b beautiful place to visit 😎🙏👍
