I Made the Perfect Light to Eliminate Green Screens

  • Green screens are all over the place nowadays, but The lighting always looks bad... So I made my own Lamp to make the perfect virtual production setup!
    Using Unity3D and ARKit on my iPad, I can use it as a virtual camera to directly capture me in my virtual environment.

    I think this would be more effective when it's paired with a green screen rather than trying to replace it. great project!

    Honestly I usually don't bother/forget to like people's videos. But Jelle makes me feel compelled to like his videos. The production quality compared to subscriber count is insane. I see people with well over a million subscribers who put a fraction of the effort in. You are amazing and deserve all the subs and likes!

    I know a library that’s just got tons of these rings. The inside side of the ring is the light and it’s a little bit taller but it lights everything well.

    you could also hook some straight strips on the wall for extra lights, then map them like you map 7.1 speakers about where they are in the room

    How about: use a matting screen made from retro reflective material. Use an RGB LED ring light on the camera lens, so you can use green or purple light. After you white balance the camera, the little colour spill on you completely goes away, but the screen is lit evenly and with a super bright key colour. That's only a theory but I think it can work.

    Awesome project!! You should consider replacing the arduino with an ESP32 running WLED! It supports multiple segments and has some cool effects built in as well as a cool API

    You could of painted the inside of the light channel white to get the most out of the LEDs as that black paint is gonna absorb some of the light

    Are the cad files available online? If not how wide did you make the aluminium in the ring? And where did you get the stuff to diffuse the light
