My doctor put me on 20 mg (twenty) per day and I started feeling muscle aches, tendon aches in elbows etc within 4 days. From what you are saying sounds like a big dose out the gate and daily? I am 62 and am going back to what I know. Easy bicycle riding indoors and walking. Cannot take these side effects.
Great info. My LDL is a bit higher than the normal range. But I am so tired and low mood due to menopause and lazy to exercise. Just started on HRT, hope that will help me 🤞🏻
What is the mechanism that causes the pain in the muscle, damage-atrophy? I have had extreme muscle and weight loss (went from being athletic to being a skelitor old man in about two years), after being prescribed blood pressure and statin drugs. Having a hard time finding info. I saw one video but can't find it again... Big Pharma? Would be grateful for any information that made it through the cracks.
Whst about 80 mg i had a tiA a year ago. Mu shoulder hurts so bad 😊lis i have chest st pain above my breast bone. Do you think is safe to lower the statins or take it one a week? I have a mildly chest pain acur sometimes. But go away. What should i do?
Hi kwaku, i went many videos online in relation to muscle aches caused by statin and i found yours to be one of the most informative. One question, apart from the muscle aches, i also have feel blood flow movements to the brain and get nauseous every now and then. Is this common?

Why are doctors not prescribing safer options..
probably too expensive. I'm now on my second statin due to calve pain on first one.
