Great review. For me this is an example of a car that grows on you, I remember how I disliked the Soul when it was first introduced and now(with the right colour of course) I actually really like it. It is very functional too. And yes I'm an old guy.

1956chip Just took delivery of our 2015 Soul. Love it, love it ,love it. IMHO the Soul looks best in Alien Green paint. Yet another old guy putting his 2 cents worth in

Great review! We just bought a two-tone 2016 White with red roof Kia Soul+. So far we love it & a great value. We traded in a Nissan Versa for the Soul & like the Soul much better.

Can you do a review of the 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage theMediaMart? I really love it's insane mpg it gets from what I've seen! Thank you.
I almost bought one. But I can get Soul base model 6 spd for 13500. That is only a grand more than a Mirage SE. ON a freeway road test at 60 mph the Mirage achieved 50.9 mpg. Impressive, for sure. I got 38 mpg in the Soul. Considering all it's other attributes, I would personally pay a little more for the Soul.

A wonderful soul doing a review on a Soul, how appropriate!! This is built off the European and Asian Hyundai I20 which explains its superior driving and handling, great car for those who need the room but not a gas guzzling SUV. Only thing I don't like about it is its standard 1.6 motor, kind of weak for this size vehicle

I am getting the 1.6 liter. It is Fine. With the 6 speed manual, it gets up just Fine.
I want this car I actually want the 2019 model but this will still make me happy my goal right now is to save towards either the 2014 or 2015. My wife doesn’t like it but she can keep our 2006 Honda Accord and I’ll have this one.lol😄

I love the fit! Hondas are hard to come by on rental lots - so no - I haven't. Do you like your fit?
Love it! Mostly a weekend car...still with the Hoopty wagon (96 Accord) as the daily driver...If you're ever on west coast you can use mine! Or usually Honda dealers service will rent one out

I'm really thinking about the 2014 Kia Soul but I'm really concerned about the low HP on long highway road travel. I don't have a sporty lead foot but I'm afraid of hearing a high reving engine noise if I'm trying to perform a simple passing lane change or going uphill on a long road.
I enjoyed driving the Soul - go test one out and let me know what you think!
I actually did do a test drive
But the test drive was limited to a very short drive in the city. It seemed zippy enough in city traffic. But I don't know how it performs on the highway.
i enjoyed it out on the highway - it feels much more sturdy than it looks!

im thinking about the 2011 model. but im worry about the true mpg and its only 122 horse power which is kinda low.

If you take it easy, you can get 38 mpg on the freeway at 60 mph. Go 75, you will get only 25 mpg. People drive too fast so economy suffers.

ENP1980 ok - I really LOVE the Soul! it's a fun car to drive and is much more sturdy than it looks. I was sad to take it back!
The CRV would be my top choice of the 3, but I would go test the Soul - just for the fun of it. It can get the job done and it's unique. The CRV is somewhat conservative - but man is it a solid little truck!

Gotta be it! It is funny, I spent a month in Europe, you would see 6 people in a little Fiat. People here will have only 2 children and want an SUV or something. Cars generally seat 4-5 people. My Lord. I guess it is like houses, too. Suddenly we need a 4 BR home with 3 baths. I have 2 kids, an 1100 sq ft home with a garage, and .. brace yourself.. 1. Bath. People did this forever (it is still common as can be in many countries). Kids shared rooms. People waited to shower. Suddenly we had so much Crap, I assume?
