I love Chef Alan's Video's! he is always very detailed and informative and right on time. I needed this information for some cookies for a baby shower!
I love that little bag that you use for corn starch. Can you please tell what kind of a bag is that? Or some alternative if I can't find that specific one. Many thanks! I love your videos!
I don't know if you will see this. But I just made one with a pair of nylon socks (new of course ) Pour your corn starch in and knot then put sock around again and knot, you have a corn starch puff.
I would prefer Dust paint stencilling on Plain cookies only, due to sugar content of fondant and/or icings. Is this possible? Would one ‘tack’ the stencil to a plain cookie with shortening also? Great video
Love it ... And I want really to try it..But for us the Muslims we can't use alcohol in the food ,,, so is there any thing that could replace it ?? Also I want the recipe of the cookies please 😍thank you
The Alan Tetreault line of Hybrid luster dusts can be dissolved with water. No alcohol is needed. Here is a link to my cookie recipe, www.globalsugarart.com/tutorial.php?sheetid=123

Thx a lot. You're brilliant!
I love this ! Just wondering does the paint wipe off or smudge ? Thank you. Just looking to individually bag them and don’t want it to be ruined
Just make sure the cookie is definitely dry before bagging.
Thank You Chef!

This is great! Can this painting of stencils be done on cookies that have been decorated with royal icing?

They were made by Wilton but have been replaced with a slightly different product. We will have the new ones in stock soon.

So cool I love you videos;)
Beautiful! Great video. Can this technique be used on cookies that are pooled with royal icing? Thanks
It would be difficult as the stencil will not stick to the royal icing and color may leak under the stencil design.
Nice Presentation

Great video
Plain dust on cookies would not have the same effect as the color would be very uneven and not as vivid.
Thank you, I'm looking forward to trying this technique! Can you describe how you achieve the white letter on the blue background?
That cookie was actually white royal icing stenciled on a blue fondant covered cookie. It was not a painted cookie.
I really love of your work and techniques. Thank you very much for sharing with us. God bless you with lot of love.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your comments.
Could you let me know what the ratios are for the fondant-chocolate? And what brands are used for this recipe? THANK YOU! This is such a great video!
I use a 50/50 blend of fondant and modeling chocolate. Use whichever brands you prefer. They all work well.
Make a Christmas painted cookie video please.
can you do these types of designs on top of chocolate covered oreos instead of on the fondant??
Hello. can you stencil like this on a royal icing covered cookie? thanks.
+Maritza Ledesma Yes you can. You can also stencil on cookies that are covered in fondant or modeling chocolate.
Can you use edible metalic food paint on a stencil
wo kaufst du das oder bestellst du das ????

Could I use luster dust and petal dust on Royal iced cookies?
+MarcelasChocolateConfections Absolutely! It is done all the time. Luster dust looks the best.
Could you do this technique right on a dry flooded cookie?
You can airbrush a stencil on a dry flooded cookie but luster dust will not adhere to royal icing.
where can I find all of the stencils for the "Painted Bridal Shower Cookies"?
We carry them on my website. www.globalsugarart.com
Amazing, but i cant use alcohol, any alternatives?
Yes, you can use lemon extract or lemon oil.
Can the decorated cookies be frozen?
Yes, be sure to separate them with a waxed paper, parchment or even plastic wrap.
When making for a party how far ahead can cookies be made?
Cookies can be made weeks ahead and frozen. Otherwise, they are best made no more than 1 day in advance.
where I could get the brush you were using
Here is a link to my acrylic handled brushes- www.globalsugarart.com/search.php?q=brushes#/?_=1&filter.brand=Alan%20Tetreault&page=1
What are the sizes of the cookies and the stencil?
I think these were about 3 inches. You would purchase the stencils in the size you require and then cut the cookies to fit.
How much take this cookies for dry
The cookies will dry in less than 5 minutes.
