I just bought peel and stick from amazon i'm so scared to put it up and damaging the walls when it comes time to removing it. I had a small strip of 3m tape that was on the wall when I peeled it off it took a piece of the drywall paint right off.

My peel and stick isn’t as sticky as a 3m command strip. It’s actually not sticky at all. You can peel it off without any paint coming with it. I assume yours would be fine too. Command strips have to be stretched to remove them so that paint doesn’t pop off. I hope that helps. 😊
