It will literally cap at 30 an run at 20 fps 😂😂😂 PS5 pro is not made to run this gave at native 4k only old 5 year old games remastered or 10 year old game remastered 5 times
Pro tip; Do not bother with Ray-Tracing. Elden Ring was created with Raster in mind (Instead of Ray-Tracing) so the visuals will look as intended as long as you run the game with RT off. Truth is, you need top-of-the-line GPUs to achieve decent RT performance and Elden Ring was never intended to run with RT in mind.
Just run the ps4 pro back-compat version on base ps5. You get a locked 60fps at 1800p which is indistinguishable from 4k at standard TV viewing distances
This game needs an update to lock the fps on 60 for the ps5 why they just keep ignore this problem If it was in my hands to this game not need a just lock on 60 fps it needs a 120 fps to make it run smoother
U have one thing wrong on fream rate mode ps5 usual is at minimum 1512p while ps5pro 2040p i just watched one channel he dose really good stuff and there it was dynamics res way higher on.pro in freamrate mode.
And this why is not locked at 60 because pro dynamics res is going all the time at native 4k for some weird reasons fromsoft have made the res more aggressive in this title
Somewhere I heard that if you play the PS4 version on PS5 you get stable 60FPS I'm not interested in this game, but anyone who is, I think you should try that, I don't think there should be any difference with the PS5 version, there's no point on suffering frame drops.
@@Draiver165 yes, it is locked 60fps in PS4 Pro Back Compat mode. But the biggest difference here is the loading times - they are much longer than in PS5 version of game.

@jacquesdebruin796 no it doesnt, The drs is broken because it runs it at native 4k instead of a lower resolution, the ps5 pro doesnt even have PSSR implemented, It would run at a locked 60 lmao, the ps5 would never as it cant even keep a locked 60 on re4 with rt and resolution on, It cant run 4k upscaled on alan wake 2 aswell.
Microsoft sure made the smart decision for not making a pro console it would not sell well for a slightly performance boost for a 700 dollar console and there are some titles that run worst on the pro then the base ps5 hell even with an enhanced patch some titles cant maintain solid 60fps
My reasons are the so many poorly optimised games running at 40-60fps. The pro will just make most of them to work with vrr. If the shader compilation issue is solved, I will go for PC not the PS5 pro.
The Pro Patch is incoming (before the end of the year) and will make noticeable improvements to graphics and performance. PS5 Pro is a beast. It’s no surprise it’s breaking sales records even with its steep price. The number of Pro patches coming out is insane. There’s already over 80 and the number keeps going up. Seriously looking forward to the Witcher 3 patch. It’s going to do 4K and 60fps with ray tracing enabled (with other graphical improvements).
I mean if u did buy the pro just play Elden Ring with RT Quality mode u basically get same fps as base ps5 in performance mode with better visuals hoping this game does get a patch for pro till then i wont be buying the pro until it’s cheaper
When elden ring was coming out i debated on if i should get it for series x and ps5… i chose xbox because of VRR, and i definitely made the right chose in my opinion lol. VRR shouldn’t be a crutch for these games, but i swear it really did stitch those frames up and made it feel like a consistent 60fps the entire play through. Thats when i found out that most console gamers were still on 60hz non-vrr displays so ever since then ive been preaching to them to upgrade their TV’s ESPECIALLY since ps5 finally enabled VRR (even though its limited compared to xbox). Even with the ps5 pro out i still feel like you would do better to upgrade your TV instead of the console because most of sony’s own produced titles have high framerate modes with VRR.
@ yeah of course, thats just how it goes. Sony aims for console and game sales, Microsoft aims for subscriptions. But im talking about playing elden ring with VRR enabled.
@@duppypixels i mean i have both ps5 and xbox series x since my brother owns one and we both have played elden ring on our respective consoles and switched consoles alot too and ps5 was just alot smoother and almost no frame drops whilst xbox felt choppier even with vrr enabled on both
The pro is the best way to play elden ring now but I fully agree about getting a hdmi 2.1. Capable display. This is how you get the best out of the regular ps5 but its even more true with the ps5 pro.
PS5 PRO still having limited VRR HDMI 2.1 bandwidth RGB 4.2.2. in 4K 120Hz = 32Gbps, when Xbox Series X have Full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth RGB 4.4.4. in 4K 120Hz mode = 40Gbps. Sony not change or fix HDMI from base PS5 what a greed! 😬😡
So the ps5pro on average is around 30% faster if you dont have a cpu bottleneck thats not too bad, i just dont see it being for alot of people, cool tho
As soon as the CPU gets taxed the difference in frames is only 3 frames per second faster. Fanboys really ditched their first console so they could buy the pro for this.
You don't understand how computers work, you have no idea what thing the CPU has to manage. This video is simply wrong and you can actually see it in the comparisons, the dynamic resolution is not aggressive so instead of a locked framerate you get a higher resolution on the Pro. The CPU is perfectly capable of running at 60 fps.
@@marrow94No, he’s right. After owning a Pro for two weeks, the $700 I spent on this should have been spent on a 4080 RTX. The performance uplift from the Pro is a joke. Sony is charging $700 for 2020 tech. The lack of frame generation is embarrassingly clear.
Delusional. You cannot buy a case, mobo, cpu, ram, ssd, cooler, keyboard/mouse for the price of a pro. And then you will have a stutter unoptimized mess since a lot of games are poorly optimized on pc and require overpowered rigs to smooth performance (even then it’s not guaranteed.)
