- Arusha City is a Tanzanian city, with a population of 617,631, and the regional capital of the Arusha Region, with a population of 2,356,255 (2022 census).
Located below Mount Meru on the eastern edge of the eastern branch of the Great Rift Valley, Arusha City has a temperate climate. The city is close to the Serengeti National Park, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Lake Manyara National Park, Olduvai Gorge, Tarangire National Park, Mount Kilimanjaro, and Mount Meru in the Arusha National Park.
The city is a major international diplomatic hub. It hosts the African Court of the African Union and is the capital of the East African Community. From 1994 to 2015, the city also hosted the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, but that entity has ceased operations. Currently, it hosts one of the headquarters of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals.
Arusha is a multicultural city with a majority Tanzanian population of mixed backgrounds: indigenous African, Arab-Tanzanian and Indian-Tanzanian population, plus a small European and North American minority population. Religions of the Arusha city population include Christianity, Islam, Sikhism and Hinduism.

The city despite being the safari capital and East Africa Community headquarters, it's forgotten in terms of infrastructures and other amenities.. the country should do something about that!!

he did excellent work, but ARUSHA is not city, look , when i return to cape town i may invite him to see other perspective.. we not hating, people in TZ we need to see other countries , look KIGALI has better roads than any place in TZ, they have side walks everywhere, roads are paved, WALK ways everywhere, TZ roads are extremely poor, no one questions about potholes, the country has poor roads, ONLY ROADS which were in international stanard were UBUNGO kibaha, are some of the few i salute TZ, also MWENGE makumbusho has international stanard, side walks, and underground gutter and sewages are on points, SALUTE to engineeers of those places, most of TZ arent renovated, look most of building arent repairs in kariakoo, they look old, ROADS signs has tobe re painted every year or every second year like how they do in NAMIBIA , RWANDA AND SOUTH AFRICA. .
Ad by the way he is doing excellent works, so the Tanzanians engineers sees these comments , imagine TANZANIA in city centre , no walk ways, city is not paved, and wires ass accross building, water problems, all these 2023 shouldnt be exist especially in the city like DAR, no running water is shame indeed. TANGA has better running water than DAR which is capital city is shame.. city managements have to be fast and increase efficient, things wont just be fine one day, we wont wake up and things be okay, TANZANIANS are the ones who have to make changes...DAR es slaam has huge potential to be one of the mega city, if the act on some efficient, and remove all corrupt officials who look on their pockets and mone and tax dpnt to the goverment , some offcials not all though, some HAVE NO INTEREST AT HEARTS... this is why i like leaders like magufuli, Jerry minster of settlement and land, Hamphrey Polepole, selemani JAFO, CHALAMILA, Deputy Prime Minister, Doto Biteko , WAKILI MWAKUBUSI and many more , I LIKE LEADERS WHO ACT ..there so many more and many more i admire, i dont have political parts i just like people who do things and you see the results , and people who keep other corrupts people accountable like MAGUFULI , SANKARA, CHE GUAVARA, leadership type

I have been 19 countries in Africa , i left TZ, TANANIA when i was 16 years of age, im in 35 years of age now , lived my whole most of my life in Cape Town and Chicago-USA where i live now , and i travelled almost 15 countries in africa, ARUSHA is not city CANT BE, SORRY, building are dirty, iinfrustructures are very poor, only few building are good building, many infrastructures are poor, YES DAR ES SLAAM is the city, but ARUSHA no sorry,

ARUSHA cant be city.. travel to see whats happening on other side of thr world, y own fathr use to have sam mindset , once i took him to Namibia, and South Africa , from there , he mindsets changes, let me ask you How can ARUSHA be city while only few traffic lights, no side walks, .. almost to sewages, almost none existance side walks, only few plaaces, YES IT IS TOURISTIC REGION/ SMALL TOWN, but cant be kept in city level , you in arusha not far from NAIROBI go Nairobi and you will see.. other perspective
