There's a reason why.
LOVE them!! Never stopped! Country music community owes them a huge apology.
I agree with you 1000% The whole nation owes them an apology. Just look at what has been going on over the past few years and ZERO accountability. These three women are
amazing.
The most honest song I've ever heard. And the delivery, particularly in that second verse? Good gracious....
this live version is even better!
Natalie is amazing and a truly inspirational person. When I first heard this song...I immediately fell in love with her, the band, the stance, and everything else that makes The Chicks one of the greatest bands on the planet.
This song has carried me through many moments where I was shamed for standing my ground.
This song and Landslide are my 2 favourite Chicks songs.
Decades passes and i still love it.
Goosebumps.
Every. Single. Time.
I cannot believe it’s been fifteen years since this was released! It’s still as good and haunting as ever!
not even a huge chicks fan but this is one of the greatest live performances of all time
I love their spirit and bravery in the face of these threats which they will probably have to endure for the rest of their lives
What an incredible vocal performance. These are truly talented women.
Damn! This song deserves to go down as one of the best songs in history for many many reasons. We Genexers are such a great generation... we never shut up no matter the consequences. And... we need to keep on shouting.
The best female band of several generations.
Dam she’s was such a savage she killed this, what emotion she sings with. Awesome version
Still such a POWERHOUSE of a song. These ladies mean what they say, and they say what they mean.
To The Chicks: we knew you were right the whole time. I always ALWAYS backed you. From some gay kid, who is now an old-ish man, from Ohio. MUCH LOVE!
They are 3 of the most talented woman in this whole country.
I am just in awe of Natalie's emotions. her voice is amazing but her emotion is just as raw as it was when this song first came out. amazing. thank you for sharing your story. thank you for not apologizing. the amount of young girls who will hopefully learn that their voice is just as important as any guys is inspiring.
The sisters are fabulous musicians and singers, but he addition of Natalie made them AMAZING.
Goosebumps and tears!
One of the best bridges ever made
The killer strings - Rick Rubin. “I kinda like it” - perfect.
I just want to say, I saw their first round of tours in Canada after all this Bush statements happened. I think all three of you are so brave, you stood together, solid and strong, And I was so proud to be a part of that Toronto audience. I honestly think I’d it as piece of music history, and I think these women honestly deserve an apology. Ahead of their time.
Wow. I was actually speechless for a good 5 minutes, such a good song and this performance is one of my favorite out of any performance I’ve ever seen. They’ve always been a favorite of mine
Happy International Women's Day to The Chicks! You inspire us. ❤
Still one of the great modern country music bands EVER! It's a complete disgrace the way they were treated for expressing an opinion, especially since the very faction that attacked them for criticizing a POTUS have spent 8 years doing far worse to our current POTUS.
One of the very few artists of ANY GENRE to sound JUST AS GOOD IN PERSON AS THEY DO IN THEIR VIDEOS AND ON THEIR ALBUMS!!!
THE BEST still. My favorites! Natalie Maines singing from her heart & soul. LOVE all three CHICKS.
That bridge still gives me chills everytime
Album of the year Grammy Award. Every song is better than the one before it. I can listen to the album on a loop for hours.
I've come back to this video every few months for almost a decade and the blonde lady in the crowd at 2:16 always gives me life.
Saw them a few years back at a show in Austin, TX honoring Lloyd Maines. They sang this song and the entire audience, on their feet already, screamed the words in unison, pumped their fists, stomped their feet and wept uncontrollably. It was one of the most emotional experiences of my life. Miss them terribly.
1:49 until the end I get endless chills. STUNNING performance.
I just found my new FAVOURITE live performance ever
Natalie is the most beautiful woman in my eyes! She's the girl on the beach in H.S. with a song in her heart!
This song is a real masterpiece.
This song is very polished and well presented not since the 1980`s have seen a better group.
Wow this live version is crazy good. I feel like there is so much more conviction and power than the studio version. These ladies are amazing!
Part of our Freedom of Speech is hearing things we don't like. Things we all don't agree on. The minute people in power try to silence that, we all lose. #TheChicks #StandUp
Still the best country music group bar none in my opinion.
Natalie's vocal prowess hasn't diminished a bit despite the years that has gone by. With a voice like that who needs autotune! And boy those harmonies still give me the chills (in a good way). :)
I love this song. Everything. The violin, the funny line "I kind of like it"
The message, the history, gives me goosebumps just thinking how gutsy this song was at the time.
These 3 multitalented ladies do not get the recognition they deserve !! A solid performance everytime LEGENDS !!!
I think she was still mad as hell when she sang this!! Never stopped loving the Chicks!
the dixie chicks songs take me back to my angsty teenage self dancing in my room pretending to play the violin. They will always be one of my favorites..."here is to song women, may we know them, may we be them, may we raise them."
Saw them live a few years back and it was a fantastic show. This song is perfection with a message for the ages.
