- Today I visited John Smiths Brewery in Tadcaster, and it was a tail of two half's.
At first the security was very stroppy and aggressive, then they told one of the subcontractors that was visiting the site that they were going to come out and work me over, and that the big guy in there was going to come out and beat me up (Shame on you security).
Then when I walked down the road I spoke to one of the managers there and he couldn't have been nicer. He took time to tell me a little about the company and what he does there.
Just goes to show you that even though security don't want you around, this doesn't always reflect the views of the management.

well i’m a security guard of 23 years and i’ll say this i’ve never once had an attitude like that even with difficult customers end of the day you the security guard is the first thing the public see he clearly as not been trained correctly or he wouldn’t have an attitude like that with members of the public also he should know about gdpr as it’s in the training if i was is boss he would be long gone from the job gives security a bad name

Remember many uears ago when based at Ripon on a Wednesday afternoon having the chance to have a tour of Tadcaster brewery, had the quick version which gave us more time in there all you can drink onsite bar! Shame health and safety made it not worth there time to carry on with the tours!!!
There all a bunch off bully's I worked there as an agency driver. Always pushing your 10 hours drive time. And 15 hours day. Discussing company, there on the drink thay make. Transport are a joke.
I do believe that if you are in a shop and their CCTV is recording images of you, you can demand a copy or even deletion of your images. I saw this advertised in a coffee shop offering you your images if you so desire. If they didn't offer the images, people who want to remain private may not visit them any more. Anyway, I love being video'd wherever I go as I have nothing to hide.

Watched a vid of an experiment where they took individuals into a room....sat them at a table with a large red button on it...they were told it was conected to a man in the next r9om and when the button was pressed he would get an electric shock....the electrical current would be increased every time it was pressed....so the individuals were told to press the button which they all did and you could here a yelp from the next room...the controler continued to order them to press the button which they all did and the yelps turned into screams and whimpers...the odd person started to question pressing the button...eventually the screams ceased...even after the screams ceased some people continued to press the button when ordered...only a small perc3ntage of people refused to press the button at some point durring the experement....thats a mindless sheep taking orders...thats what most of these people are...theyd just keep pressing that button even after you stopped screaming.

That aside, these so security guards really are arse*****. Why these companies pay them 3 pence an hour is utterly beyond me. None of them can ever make a decision because they know nothing and are just , I’m sorry to say (no offence intended) very dim.
They’re like young children still at school. If I sound a bit harsh, I make no apologies, just jobs for the sake of it, like at all of our supermarkets today. Still it helps the Tories distort the unemployment numbers.
I run a small construction business and wherever appropriate make sure that anyone working for us (mainly subbies as that’s the way our industry has gone) is that they have no expectation of privacy while in or filmed from a public place. But unfortunately these larger companies don’t seem to be able to grasp that concept.
When ever we are employed by our client as principle contractor as long as our client is happy with it, I would welcome an audit. Free advertising to show how good we are!
