    Remember on the S30 Z.
Both the turn signal/ Hi-Lo Switch and the combination ground are what grounds the circuits, THAT is A FACT !
Two the HAZARD Switch is INTERCONNECTED WITH THE LIGHTS ,CHECK THIS SWITCH. ( For rusting seizing up)
The standard factory wire harness is if very good quality. But you need to check for swollen wires from over loaded hi lo head light circuits with out relays = melted wires and fuse box ,fuse holders. ( Both circuits NEED relays )
I'm building two S30's I stripped all electric wrap tape off. And rewrapped it once circuits were in order.
ALSO, THE CAUSE OF ALL S30 wiring issues, originates
From the hi beam low beam circuit.
They need RELAYs on both circuits.
All it's life, there were no relays. This carries alot of current from the power terminal starting at, the starter relay ,thru fire wall thru headlight switch thru hi lo switch back thru the dash, back thru the fire wall thru to the head lights.
Relays in both circuits put 12+ from battery to headlights. Letting the switch just be a ground.
Lastly the amp meter circuit should be removed as it to carries lots of current from the Battery to a Shunt box beside the battery to a set of Fusible links.
I don't like this high current system under the dash.
Best to get a later 280Z volt meter which just takes a signal from the alternator.
    Good luck !

yep - just did the exact same thing on a 72 Corolla SR5. Most of these era cars had similar setup unfortunately.

    Looking good.
As these carbs are susceptible to vibration damage you should look at fitting some "Weber Flexible Soft Mount Kits" between the carbs and the manifold.

I found the best sidedraft carb for fast road use is the Dellorto DHLA, then the Weber DCOE, with the Mikuni PHH last! just because it hasnt the same range of emulsion tubes as the other two, so it is better suited for full race use, the other two have better progression from low revs.
