Laura, you are so lovely inside and out. I love your videos so thank you for them. Your teaching is so simple and concise and you manner so calm - ahh! I love your jewellery as well and I hope you are treated well in your life. Vicki from British Columbia.
Love it! I have a lot of 5” squares left over from projects that are just collecting dust....I’ll be making these to keep some and give some to my grandkids. Thank you for a great video!
Laura you are the most creative morning coffee chum! Love this idea to eat up scraps PLUS you have solved my question as to how best to construct the fabric when I reupholster my square ottoman! 😉
That's great! I've not made any fabric boxes because they just seemed so flimsy. I will definitely be making this one - the cardboard in the bottom really makes it useful. Thank you for this video and all the videos you do - just love them......
I have a small hair flat-iron .... I don't use it on my hair, but I keep it in my sewing room for heaps of fabric that need ironing, especially all the sewn edges, seams, ribbons, bias binding and anything else that you need to iron. I've found it especially great for scrunches and patchwork.... as soon as I've seen short edges. It's also great for ironing just the ruffles, pressing pin-tucks, firm pleats, hair ribbons, hems, and sooo many other things that seem such a waste of time in setting up small items .... You'll be amazed at many other items that this little gadget has saved me time and effort in so many ways, in all areas around your home that you've never thought twice about ironing because they were either too fiddly to set up the iron and the ironing board ..... even if just a small part of your sewing, clothing and/or other items around the home.
Such a cute little box. I always have a long thread tail to cut off when I thread my machine and felt it was such a waste to throw away perfectly good 12” of thread. I will make a little box to put long thread in by my sewing machine, then I can use that for hand sewing at another time.
I love this cute cube and it's easy enough. I'm a very beginner quilter and I'm looking for little project like a coffee mug mat. I'm hoping maybe you can have a process video on this. Thank you and I enjoy your easy to follow videos.
Have you ever done a tutorial about 'quilts to go' approach to doing a quilt? You are such an awesome teacher and I love the way you make a complex task easier.
Couldn’t you use plastic template material or the Dollar Tree clear cutting mats instead of the cardboard, then it would hold up better if it got wet or damp?
I love this segment, I have make a few since seeing it. I know this is very personal, but the ring you are wearing on your right hand is stunning. Does it happen to be a honey topaz?
You might want to stiffen the sides more - soft and stable will stand up or a heavy weight interfacing cut 1/2 inch smaller so that you can stitch it like that.
i dont have a facebook but can i email you my quilt for your challenge today ? Cheers, A new Quilter .Love your video Tutorials .Am on my 10 th Baby Quilt inspired with yourCuddle easy baby quilt technique!! Cheers, Jo-Ann A Canadian Retired Inrenational Nurse.
Laura, can you tell us how to finish the bottom outside of the box. Sorry I've never made something like this and don't know how you did that, (it's the light blue bottom square of the box)

Such a cute project and useful!
A glue stick ... sooooo simple, I never even thought about using it. #SewVeryEasy will use in other situations instead of expensive double sided tape!
Very cute project!

Couldn’t you use plastic template material or the Dollar Tree clear cutting mats instead of the cardboard, then it would hold up better if it got wet or damp?
Good plan, the plastic templates would give it a bit more structure.
That is adorable. I needed something to sew this will be it :) Thank you again for a fun project Hugs
ohh wow sooo coool!! very nice!!
Nice!
Brilliant
Awesome!!!
Perfect!
That is what I am making.
I love this segment, I have make a few since seeing it. I know this is very personal, but the ring you are wearing on your right hand is stunning. Does it happen to be a honey topaz?
I am absolutely delighted to see this video. I've wanted to make some boxes for ages. Would it work in larger sizes?
You might want to stiffen the sides more - soft and stable will stand up or a heavy weight interfacing cut 1/2 inch smaller so that you can stitch it like that.

Can you make a baby bonnet and pillow case dress diy
Thats Funny, I did exactly the same box with 10 different fabrics , but I didn't use batting so mine is a little more flimsy
Could 2.5” strips be used by the same technique n be used as a lid for this box?
Laura, can you tell us how to finish the bottom outside of the box. Sorry I've never made something like this and don't know how you did that, (it's the light blue bottom square of the box)
the bottom is finished when you turn it right side out.
Can you send me the link to the tutorial for the quilt behind you?
