Hey man thank you for making this full video, my son's autistic and has been watching this daily for months now. Im 27 and I've been playing video games all my life so I'm pretty good. Everytime I try to casually play this game for him he gets furious because I get stuck on a level so after we found your walk through it's been a bloody God send. Anytime he has terrible meltdowns because of his over sensory. This is the only thing that can catch his attention and calm him down at the same time. I'm serious man you're a hero in out world for your work. From one gamer to another Thank you so much and keep up that awesome work!!

I also have a child with autism who gets so overwhelmed watching me play and messing up. Usually if he gets too overstimulated we turn the game off and come back to this video and it helps tremendously for him to watch someone go through each level and not die. So I too, am very thankful for this video!

I've been watching some of these walkthroughs while I waited for this game after pre-ordering it. It finally came, got to play it lots over the long weekend and I must say either I really suck at the game or these videos make it look a lot easier than it actually is... or both... it's probably both

Crash Bandicoot is my childhood. I used to play the second one all the time. Now playing the remake, I got major nostalgia.
I will definitely agree that it's a difficult game, however - spent countless lives. So I told myself, I guess you're supposed to lose lives in order to learn how everything works. Still though, brutal.
I know I played Crash Warped A LOT back when I was a kid! That game gets a free pass for having those extra abilities! The other 2 was tougher than hell for me cause I never played them at all... mostly Crash 2, but 1 I never played...! And boy was it a pain... and although I completed all 3 games for the main stories, I only managed to complete Warped entirely! So, yeah, still got a ways to go sadly...!

@@whytho5196 I don't think there are words in real life that describe how hard stormy ascent is, In the future, if I will ever be a game developer, I will do a level 14 times worse than stormy ascent, it will have 0 checkpoints, the level is even longer than every level in crash Bandicoot and you have to do it without dying or hitting an enemy to get the gem, that will be fun to create

i never knew before the N. Sane Trilogy that you had to get through each stage without dying along with collecting all of the boxes in order to earn the gem, kind of defeats the purpose of the check points.

One cool subtle pattern I noticed in this game was how most non-boss levels come in pairs. By that, I mean that for every level you see, there is likely another level in the same setting, using the same camera, having the same obstacles and enemy types etc

N. Sanity Beach looks like the first pair I listed but not closely enough to warrant a trio. Generator Room is a unique level. Cortex Power and Toxic Waste were maybe envisioned as such a pair but that's a stretch; they're not that similar.
If I'm not mistaken, the Stormy Ascent DLC (based on the original level that was cut because it was too hard), was meant to take place between the Great Hall and Neo Cortex. I mention that because Slippery Climb and Stormy Ascent share enough similarities to qualify as a pair, and I would have listed them as such, but as I said, Stormy Ascent was removed.

I've followed your walkthrough so far up to The Lost City, but no matter what I do I am always missing 3 boxes at the end of the level.

You need to keep playing, when you get a colored gem (Ex: Red, Green, Blue, etc), go back to those levels where you missed some boxes and you'l be able to collect them.

This was how I played Crash Bandicoot on the Playstation. Because I couldn't save. Looking back I think it was a Demo version or there was a compatibility issue with the memory card. In any case, I had to speedrun if I want to get through the game in a day because I had no choice. Every time I turned it off; the next day I had to start all over again from the very beginning.
Some how, my frustration is relieved by watching him get beat to death by those missed boxes at the end of every level LOL.. Box Karma :P

Josh isn't real I think he actually died several times on both stages but they were removed and because you must break all boxes without dying. I'm suspecting he also restarted both levels several times.

This is the N.Sane Trilogy version. They removed the idiotic restriction of a deathless run outside of colored gems for this version.

Since you have virtually no space in those levels they are even harder still.
I flinched so many times during rolling stones speedrun HOLY CRAP the timing on some of those jumps was impeccable if you jumped a few miliseconds later you would've been flattened that is some skill right there. Must've done alot of practice for that, good job

It's great how they made the bonus levels including the n.brio and cortex ones a requirement to complete the level with a gem. Thought it was slightly odd in the original that they didn't mean anything. I guess it was sort of that arcade feel where you got a super password at the end of it but still

Which is wonderful, considering that Vicarious Visions (the same guys behind Crash Bandicoot XS/The Huge Adventure) also worked on this game. They’ve come a long way after all they worked on or how well they did. Vicarious Visions is the new Naughty Dog.
This is actually my first Bandicoot game. It's taking me a while to get used to the mechanics. At least it's not Watchdogs 2. Damn that one sucked for me!

I just 100% this game earlier. Crash 2 is also done to 100%. Honestly for me playing through the 1st a second time to get all the gems wasn't that bad once I memorised everything. The road to nowhere and High road did on the first go. That told me I can do it after that lol
I don't know why people are saying this game is hard. I completed all the levels (including stormy ascent) with ease (did I spell that right?) Yeah sure I didn't complete them on my first try but I wasn't stuck on a single level for more than 30 min. As for the getting the platinum relics I only have 3 as of right now.

If you grew up playing the original trilogy or have played it on the PS store for hours and hours you'll breeze through it but newcomers will be faced with quite a challenge.
Pyron I have this and the psn versions of the original games and I believe that the original control wise felt smooth but sloppy at times (especially in crash 1) the n sane trilogy is more or less a upgrade in controls which makes this version easier for the new comers
