Q: Do you play with the D-pad or Analog Sticks?
A: Analog Sticks, it gives you more control as you can cut off edges etc.
Q: Are these all your clips?
A: Yes, they are absolutely 200% mine.
Q: What's the hardest level you've played
A: The hardest platinum must have been 'The Lab', it felt like it was a developer time. Otherwise 'Sunset Vista' is a long and difficult level
Q: Why do you often skip boxes?
A: Some -1 boxes are sometimes not even worth it to break, it would cost more time at some places. Boxes next to Nitro break too after letting the nitro explode at the end of the level. In chasing levels, the bear or boulder breaks the boxes so you can win time.

on crash 1, I would definitely say 'The Lab' it took me 3 hours to get the right timing. It's like beating the developer's time.

Thriift slippery climb isn't indeed that difficult, you have to time your jumps and you have to be patient

Yes but its different to get all gold/platinum in Crash 1 and for example in Crash 3. Compared to Crash 3 (or, for those that are bothered by it, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped), Crash Bandicoot 1 is a much bigger deathfest which makes speedruns much more challenging. I did not try the remake version of Crash 3 yet but if you were patient, getting all gold was very very possible unless you give up after 5 or 10 fails.
+Umbakarna SKYeah that's true, maybe in the update they could've throw abilities from Crash 3 in Crash 1 but that'd be breaking the original game way.
If it was released on PC, mod would've allowed it. Even crouching and sliding, i think crouching button is just not turned on in original game which the button functions are in codex files but that's my theory.

Finally got all the platinums to this, the hardest one was undoubtedly The Lab, although for me it was extremely fun to speedrun and very satisfying to master, I didn't feel frustrated at all whereas levels like Slippery Climb and Generator Room almost made me give up
The first level, the lab the road to nowhere, and, of course, stormy ascent was the hardest since that took 3 days for me to do

Thanks so much for this video (and your Crash 2 one as well), excellent work! At first I was content with my gold or better relics for each game, since that was all that was needed for the platinum trophies. But your videos inspired me to go for all platinum relics. As of now I have all platinum in 1 and 2, and hopefully I'll finish the last few I need in 3 soon.
Hardest platinum relics for me in this one were probably The Lab, and surprisingly, Generator Room. For The Lab, I didn't realize at first that the entire level was always running on a certain pattern (whereas in a lot of other levels the patterns seem to start as you approach the area). For Generator Room, the level is easy and short enough, but the time for platinum seems so tight. It came down to needing to be faster when jumping across some of the vertically moving platforms.

The relics in N Sane Trilogy are tough, but especially in Crash 1 imo. I appreciate that you only need the golds for full completion, even those are tricky but much more doable for the average player than getting every single platinum.

I mean yea im 27 been playing games since i was 3 but still, cleared out the original games many times. my biggest issue with the new ones is they worried more about physics and what not, for example crash is much much heavier in the 1st game then he was in the original some of the jumps you could make back then in a speedrun arent even possible anymore etc. anywho yea good job man.
You've some fluid runs there, some slight mistakes albeit, but damn fluid nonetheless.

Got all the plats here in CB1, it was gruel but fun, finished this first before going through the other two. The WRs are beyond me tbh xD Too N-Sane, I have to admit.
And to make things clear, I've already SR'd all the three ps games even before the ps4 releases, so I've played these games a long time ago, don't worry about me going for the plats to a game 'I've not even played' :p

The lab is an extremely difficult time to get not necessarily the hardest level in the game but when it comes to getting the platinum it is so hard ! I agree also with sunset vista it's just a pain of a level .don't know about yourself but I found the 2 high road levels fairly ok if you just get good at jumping on the ropes

The last section involving those moving platform jumps on Sunset Vista is getting on my nerves lol. You nailed those jumps effortlessly. Every time I do them I miss them and fall right back down. Any tips/advice how to perfect those jumps?

Crazily on the first level I managed to get the same time for the relic by the exact millisecond.

It saves massive amounts of time. I’ve done it a couple of times, did it when getting all iced for clear gem, now the only clear gem I’m missing is stormy ascent... did all coloured gems and clear gems to give myself a break from getting frustrated over getting platinum relics.

I accidentally platinum’d The Lost City and the stage after that without even trying too hard, because there is almost more than enough time. I even messed up the ending on the stage after TLC but still got platinum relic anyway.

How, just how do you have such precision jumping quickly and in High Road just deciding "im going to jump on the rope and back off and land on a plank that is about to drop like its nothing". Honestly, your skill set of understanding the jumping in this game just astounds me. Looks almost computer like at times in terms of the sheer smoothness of your controlling. I am envious as I will never platinum this game. My jumping is horrific as I can't get past Slipper Climb let alone do it without dying.
+GamerSciz I've just been a gamer for my whole life so I guess it's a feeling in my fingers, although it costed me a lot of tries to not fall off the ropes. Also use your joysticks, not your D-pad
I was gaming back in the Atari days so it's not the lack of gaming ability. I will try to learn to utilize my joysticks. I have gone through the whole game with D-pad because it feels more precise to me. I guess with joysticks though you technically have more control. I suppose I just have to practice more. I am about 70% complete on the game but have played it only here and there.
+GamerSciz yes you do have more control, that's a reason why my jumps are so precise, you can always move a little back when going forward. Also Vicarious Visions have changed the jump mechanism. So practise the jumps and their timing and eventually it will work out, good luck!

Thanks so much for the video! I've got all the Platinum relics now except for The Lab and Stormy Ascent. I'm honestly favouring doing Stormy Ascent first as I've just spent ages on The Lab to no avail.
I just keep getting shocked and, when I don't, I wait too long and miss the time. I also find it's pretty much down to luck whether or not I manage to jump over the electric fences when they're shocking (as you do at 41:02.)

+Timothy Hinks thanks! At the lab you should start 0,5 second after respawning. Then you have to jump in the middle of the first electric fence (just when it spits the electricity). From now of you can complete the level without mistakes, just run forward. That's my new method
