Gulab Jamun Cake with Kanchana

I’m visiting my beautiful friend Kanchana. Kanchana is baking a Gulab Jamun Bundt Cake.
I first tasted this cake when Kanchana baked it for her Diwali party that I was lucky enough to attend. I absolutely loved it and asked her to please share the recipe on Made By Sue.
The basic pound cake recipe is flavored with vanilla and cardamom. Then a cooked syrup is made flavored with more cardamom, saffron, rose water, and lime or lemon juice. The syrup is poured over the cake after baking to create a very moist, sweet confection.
Finally an icing flavored with reserved syrup is drizzled over the cake and garnished with pistachios and dried rose petals. Just beautiful and delicious.

Kanchana has some variations in her measurements. Either way, the cake is delicious.
If you are looking for a dessert to dazzle your family or friends, I encourage you to give this recipe a try. You can even serve it with a dollop of whipped cream to really push it over the flavor edge.

I have had gulab jamun ( which I love ) and I have had cake as well but never gulab jamun cake , definitely going to try it .
