I gotta try this!.. had my Travis Scott 6s olive for 3days and dawn dish detergent platinum wasted on dem and stained the world out of dem 5:24 and I can’t get the stains out and It pulled the color
I finished my dye job with mink oil and it completely ruined my shoes 😭 I was redyeing some pink pig SB’s, they looked perfect. I let them dry for 24 hours, sprayed them down and now the mudguard is almost completely white…

The same way you clean a regular shoe just with a soft bristle brush so it doesn’t tear the print
I would have just mink oiled the blue ones that after deep clean look had them looking more wearable than new imo. Red ones were beaut in the end however🎉

The blue pair was more faded than the red pair by far but if you like the fade look then I understand and if the shoe is a light colored material you could dip dye it but the whole shoe will change colors even the rubber and plastic parts

You have to lighten it with the neutral suede dye so buy blue and neutral

Quick question, what if you have a colour like orange or yellow and want to dye it to a more neutral colour like grey. I’m worried that it will affect the finishing colour if I dye overtop of those colours. Let me know your thoughts on the best approach.
Use color removers to get the brighter colors out, adding grey on top wouldn’t work. Rit brand sells color removers

Best way to clear/remove deep/set in stains pn blue suede 6s? They have dark brown stains on the toe box on the side puffs and couple other pkaces that even deep cleaning with these recommended soaps didnt take out

That’s probably food coloring, buy the dye specifically made for suede
This is great. What happen last of the shoe gets a little wet afterwards? Can it stain your paints?
That’s what the mink oil is for and you could also add waterproofing spray afterwards

Nubuck usually doesn’t bleed

@@theoglifechannel I wish I saw this before I attempted to make my toro 4s, black cat 4s. I had two pair of toros. Anyway, I didn’t dilute the dye at all 😬 so it literally had the oily sorta chameleon looking shine to it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

What if you were trying to change the color of the red pair to say a medium brown? Would you simply dye with medium brown or would you have to die with say green ? Thanks!
It doesn’t work like that, only light colored dyes could be dyed a different color immediately for red you’ll have to remove the color first with color removers

Would you also give them an additional hit of Krylon spray matte finisher or does the mink oil not agree with it?
Do not use those sprays on suede only mink oils or waterproofing sprays for suede

I've searched everywhere for olive green dye to use on suede sneakers I want to customize. What colors should I use? Can I use regular paint mixed with 2-soft?
No, never use paint on suede and mixing brown yellow and green will give you olive green

No, dry clean them by suede erasing and brushing then dye. Deep cleaning is for used dirty suede shoes

Its dye not paint and yes u could only do the toe box but make sure you mink oil the entire shoe

Yes you can just clean the area first, and you have other water proofing shoe sprays out there but mink oils is best for a restoration those are better for a brand new shoe before wearing it

Hey OG i failed this project man!! I thought this sneaker could be dyed without neutral dye. I only put 1 coat of dye and angelus. I didnt see that you use jaquard dye. Im Trying to rub off some dye.

I have a stain on my royal blue retro 4’s that is impossible to get out, I’m planning on dying them black rather than throwing them away, do you know if there’s any reason I can’t do this?
Try a suede eraser or a safe non toxic stain remover if those dont work you could definitely black them out with black suede dye using the same steps in this video

It was neutral dye and i could only speak on products i used my self, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t explore other options tho because the process is the same
