    • @LeatherRepairUK

      The small
      Piping is a painted sealed finish not a dyed finish, so to colour that piping you require the leather paint we supply LRC14

    Is it possible to fail the operation, like bad spreading of dye ? Like if you put to much dye at one spot ? Thank you for your answer.

      @@mikehuttenschmitt6143 as with anything, anything can go wrong if you dont follow procedures
      When you are using the wool dauber, remove the excess before applying that resides any risk
      But with it being suede it shouldn’t create any too many issues even if you do apply too much in one area just means more brushing up.

    Should you use some sort of special cleaner before dying or is a brush and dry cloth enough ??

    • @LeatherRepairUK

      No you would need to clean them first of all with the LRC suede and Nubuck cleaner allow them to dry

      Where is your sealer or finisher to keep the Dye from rubbing off? Don’t you need to spray a Krylon sealer or mink oil spray to lock the colour in and keep it water resistant? 🤔

    • @LeatherRepairUK

      Hard to say how they will come out as it depends on a lot of factors prep work, how you apply the dye the amount of dye applied etc etc as you can tell from this video these came out out very well indeed

    I’m looking to dye some black suede black again. I’ve seen horror stories online of people’s black dye turning their product a very dark purple and not true black. Is this a true black?

    • @LeatherRepairUK
      @LeatherRepairUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Black is made with blue to begin with, so no matter what type of dye / paint your using you will always get a slight blue hue to it. But as far as black goes this was pretty good , but couldn't say it was 100% possibly 98%

      With the brown shoe you can see variances in colour and the contrast between the suede and piping. More interest.The black's good, though.
