When you use the brass brush to reset the suede, how do you get the nap shortened? When I do it it just makes the suede look like a carpet vs like a pool table
I have a pair of red suede ewings that are old as fuck and naturally faded that are sick. Probably gonna clean them hardcore and if they look dope really faded and clean af imma just leave em as is

@@temarjonesjr4954 I just baby them. Wore them a lot kept out of wet areas and mud and snow. As best I could. Washed the mid sole when I could. Still looks pretty new. I cant do anything about creases. But i do the best to prevent losing color and not getting scuffs or getting it dirty

Definitely not in the snow or even with snow on the ground lol. That’s what people don’t understand…. If you protect your shoes and take care of them they’ll last for literally ever. You just can’t wear them every single day and if you do be smart about it and at least use a waterproofing spray & clean them as soon as you need to. Preventative maintenance is 🔑. Lol I’m rambling now my bad.

Hello! Can you assist me with a problem? I dyed a pair black that originally had a red base colour with Jacquard Dy-Na-Flow using a brush but now it's very stiff, just like if i used regular Angelus paint with 2 soft..Do you think because i used a regular brush instead of an airbrush may be the problem? Maybe i clogged the suede or something. Now i was thinking of switching back to Angelus but that dye it's too powerful and i hate using it...

The dye is so light, you can spray right over it. Once you finish the redye, you can get the excess off the jumpman with a damp qtip and wipe carefully and gently.

These were lowkey hard with the faded uppers. The red netting and midsole really pops and contrasts against the faded pink suede.

The dye doesn’t stain it because it’s specifically designed for suede material

Airbrush is recommended when redying, painting by hand will result in an uneven look.

How do I get the sole bright runs off suede looks like thick wet streaks tried vinegar and Angelo’s shoe cleaner

Water repellant spray is generally not permanent. Does it have to be continually reapplied or is there a more permanent way to seal the dye?
You'll want to re-apply repellent typically every 4-6 weeks with regular wear. It can last much longer if they are worn less often.
