You remind me of Emily from beauty broadcast. You're both really thorough, detailed, straight forward, info-packed, no-nonsense, yet really friendly reviewers. I love how you guys are true to life without all the harsh lighting that viewers cannot even see the colors! I hope your subbies keep growing coz you deserve it!
YOU ARE AMAZING! This is everything everyone wants to know about the three brands and their palettes! You are very well spoken, very descriptive and gave a very realistic, very almost tactile feel of the colors- it was a pleasure to watch.
Great review! I purchased both but ended up returning the Nude 1 because as you mentioned, I already have so many similar shades in my collection and couldn't justify keeping it after I got it home. But the Nude 2 is GORGEOUS and I am in love with all the purples. It's a prefect palette for me and I've reached for it almost every day since I got it. I don't have anything like it which is nice.
I got both palettes. I prefer #2 only because those tones are more flattering for me than many of the warmer Brown's in palette #1. Even though the colors lean to mauve and plum, I can achieve a neutral look. Thanks for another interesting review.
I love your quick and short reviews! They don't drag on or show clips that could be edit like playing with a dog. Plus you don't repeat yourself. Love it keep it up. 😀
Thank you for this review, Bailey. I am in my 50's now and I have to be careful with how I put my makeup on now. I love the smokey eyes you younger gals are doing, but it makes me look like a vampire who's trying too hard...lol! Urban Decay and L'Oreal are the same company and I can afford $15.00 easier than I can $54.00 so I am definitely going to be buying the L'Oreal palette Nude 1. Blessings, Kiddo! Kyara!
I've LOVED playing with my 2 La Palette Nude palettes!! I find that I can make an entire look with the La Palette Nude 1, whereas with "2" I end up reaching for other palettes to complete my eye look. Overall, I'm super pleased with the quality!!! Yay!!
My first time watching you as I was looking for a good review on these palettes. And just few mins of watching and hearing u talk made me me hit the subscribe button! You gave a really thorough and concise review and comparison with references. Plus u list out pros and cons and mentioned that they are not bad but a more subdued type of shadows suitable for daily looks. Personally I wouldn't want a flashy overly shimmery daily look with high end products. Thank you for the great review. Shall be watching more your videos! :-)
I LOVE the nude 2 pallette, the colors are right up my alley and the quality is great! I am most impressed with the pigment and the blendability, seriously, all I needed was a bright shimmer shadow to complete the look. Love this pallette, and it would be a perfect neutral pallette to complete the look.
I have always thought of the second palette as rosy, instead of purple. Side note, it's really irritating when people have to add, "for the drugstore...," when complimenting a product. Just let it be great.
Great review. I am so glad that the drugstore is slowly starting to pick up their game. Maybe one day they will truly rival the higher end eyeshadows like they do with lipsticks and so many other products. ♥ Elle
I never invested in any of the Naked palettes, because at my age, I can't pull off the super shimmery, glittery shadows any more (which rules out a *lot* of Urban Decay products anyway). So these LaPalettes are *much* more up my alley. I bought #2 soon after watching this review, and absolutely love it! The neutral one is next on my list. Thanks so much, Bailey :)
Thank you for this review! I have numerous palettes already, ranging from KvD (my personal fave overall) and of course, the UD Naked Palettes (1 & 3). I've been looking around for an inexpensive palette that I could use for everyday looks without duplicating similar shades from the palettes already in my collection. I finally bought the Loreal Palette Nude 2 yesterday, and was debating if I should go back to get Palette 1, but thanks to your review, I know I can get away with using the shades in my UD Naked 1. So again, thanks for the great tips and for also saving me a few more dollars!
I have both of the Le Nude palettes and the Urban Decay ones as well. I think they are all awesome but I would agree that the L'Oreal ones are better for daytime subdued looks.
New subbie just wanted to say I love your reviews and where has your channel been my whole life!?You're so thorough and give such well rounded reviews great job!! Can't wait to watch more :)
This review was super helpful! Thanks for doing the comparable swatches side by side. The only thing that would have made it more informative would have been swatches from the Blushed Nudes Maybelline palette!
love love love your look in this vid ! i purchased both from walmart as well about 2 weeks ago & i *_love_* them ! i found myself reaching more for the nude 2 . loving the mauve & purple tones !
I found that between the two pallets, you get some dead on dupes for the tarte Tartlette pallet. Not to mention a bunch load of extra shimmery shades. Between these two, if used together, you can get some pretty brilliant looks. While they may look kind of boring in the pan, I find using a cream shadow underneath really makes them pop and look unique! They look wonderful on top of the NYX jumbo pencils, for a fraction of the price of a high end palette, even if you purchase both.
I don't understand why people are obsessing over the price. The newer Loreal quads are $10.. even at full price ($20) for the palette you are getting two shades free. Revlon's most recent 5 pans are $12.. so that is even more expensive for ten shades and you are not getting anywhere near as much product. If you really want them for less wait for them to get a wider distribution and a sale.. Rite Aid is 40% off right now and those sales happen quite frequently.
Bailey, will you do some tutorials with these palettes? (Please!) I have the 2 and while I love the colors I'm having trouble putting it all together on my lids. Great video! Thanks, :)
S Hartman You bet! Also, one thing I like about these palettes (that I definitely should have mentioned in the video) are the looks that are on the back of the palettes. I'm actually wearing one from the back of palette 1 in this video! They are a great source for inspiration as well. Thanks so much for watching!
This was so helpful!! I've been debating getting the la palette nude 2, but wasn't sure if it was too similar to the Naked 3 (which I already have). But you've made the decision for me! I'm getting it!! :D And I'm so excited :)
Love the Nude 2! Freakin fantastic, much better quality too than the 10$ quad from L'Oreal that I ended up returning. The shadows are so buttery and soft, as long as I don't try to blend them too much (because I find that my heavy hand will blend them away if I'm not careful) I can make some beautiful eye looks!
I was so excited when I saw this thumbnail! :) Great review! I work at Walgreens and we just got these in- I have been staring at them trying to decide which one to get! I think you've helped me decide to get the nude 2 :) mauves, pinks, and purples are my thing. I definitely need to go with my gut! One question: drugstore purples normally dont have the best pigmentation- how do these hold up? Thanks!
Here's my game plan to try both of these babies out- catch a Loreal BOGO 50% off sale at Ulta, making both palettes $22.50. Then use the $3.50 off $10 coupon and get both palettes for $19.50 (and lucky me, no tax in NH 😜). I don't really need these palettes, I own all the Naked, Lorac pros and unzipped, Too Faced palettes... You name it! And many purple/mauve toned palettes (Pur Minerals Soul Mattes is an awesome plum/pink all matte palette that comes to mind that's is somewhat under rated!) so I don't NEED these palettes by any means BUT if I can try both for under $20, why not?! Especially after hearing your thoughts Bailey, thank you for sharing! I'd love to see a few tutorials as well! 😘😘
They are 20 at ulta. They are having the BOGO now.. according to this site nouveaucheap.blogspot.com/2015/03/if-youve-been-waiting-for-good-deal-on.html?m=1 still a good price for both.
Oh my god they areeee $20 at Ulta, what the hell! That totally ruined my plan! Then yeah I agree Id rather do one at BBAB at $17 less 20%, if you do both it comes out to be about the same as Ulta's price. Well there goes my master plan!!
Lol, the nude 2 was mainly directed toward darker skin. That's why it's purpley. That being said I appreciate the comparisons a lot and I think I'll be buying the nude 2 next time I'm out.
BEST review I have seen of the La Palettes. and I've watched many, heard many opinions. Still on the fence because I don't need them, and because L'Oreal is not cruelty-free. (although I believe they are trying.) All that being said, the quality looks to be there. They are very pretty ... I did look at them in person. No, they aren't Nudes ... but I wouldn't call the Naked palettes nude, either. just a silly, trendy marketing tool. ~ thanks, Bailey.
I just love your videos! I especially love how you just get to the point of the reviews! 👌👌 I did want to know about your opinion on ULTA brands. Do you have any favorites that you would recommend? Like dupes(ULTA) or purge for expensive items? Thanks!!
Great review. I can't wait to see a tutorial with these, especially the nude 2. Wanted to ask which pallet you would recommend as a companion pallet for the nude 2, the blushed nudes or the revealed 2.
if any of your viewers is from Texas and near an heb grocery store -- go there.. the palettes are $15.99 each-- and there is an heb $10 off coupon.. I got them for $10.99 each after coupon.
Lilee Ana heya.. No problem.. Ironically I was just at heb and unfortunately they do not have that coupon/deal going on now, but it seems to cycle back around every few weeks/months - so you might want to check back.. if I come across it again - I will respond to you in this thread.. ;)
As soon as you held up the second palette, I immediately thought of Kat Von D's Chrysalis palette, it looks like it has a lot of similar shades. I'll probably pick up the 2 before the 1, my UD Naked is a go-to for nudes.
I have both of these pallets, and none of the purpley shades from the chrysalis palette really match with number 2, so you won't be getting any repeat. to be honest, I like the Loreal palette better than that Kat Von D one :-)
u are so gorgeous and do a amazing makeup ,, I love ittt its look like the naked palettes .... I just love then ..do u think this is better then the naked palette?
I just spotted these palettes at Target today and the prices have gone up. They were $18.99. I picked mine up a week or two ago and they were $15.99. Thanks for the review!! =-)
Not surprised by the quality & similarity to the UD Naked palettes since Loreal now owns them. Best way to buy, when buy one get one 50% off at Ulta, CVS or Walgreens.
I love your reviews -- so much info and well presented. Lapalette2 reminds me of pur mineral's soul mattes or even Lorac unzipped ... I have not seen these yet in Canada -- hoping they head north soon :)
I have the LA Palette 2 and mine doesn't come off as purples. it comes off more like the Naked 3. I kept looking at it and I don't see purples as much as you say.......maybe a diff. formula?
Hi everyone - I'm sure the connection has already been made (sorry for repeating it of its been already): the 2nd palette is actually a very great dupe for Urban Decays Naked Basics 2 (5 of the 6 matte shades). Great video! I'm from Canada and this is the second video I've seen on L'Oréal La Palette Nude 1 and 2, however the two I have are both nude, I don't have a purple one and I got them for $12.49 CAD. This is so interesting! Subscribed! :)
My Walgreens in PHX had them at $10.79 each + buy one get one 50% off. If you can find deals like that it's even better :) As always GREAT REVIEW!!!!!!!!
I have had my eye on these, so glad to get your opinion! This may be a bit weird~you teeth look so white in this video~ to which I am so jelly! :) ! Are you doing a whitener? If so would you share? Thanks! Love your channel.
Can the la palette nude 2 be compared to the tartelette palette. I went to purchase the tartelette friday and Saturday and everywhere I went it was sold out.

I saw these at my local Ulta for $20 and passed. I'm glad I did since I already have the Naked palettes. Thanks for the great review!

I really wanted the LA palette 1 bc you mentioned it more subdued than the other palettes but I cannot justify buying makeup for $20!
Feel better soon, Bailey!
Purple is more nude in regards to the darker skin tones. Thank you L'ORÉAL for catering to people with a skin tone.
+SuperXrunner Agreed
they own urban decay too lol
New subbie just wanted to say I love your reviews and where has your channel been my whole life!?You're so thorough and give such well rounded reviews great job!! Can't wait to watch more :)

Very helpful, Bailey! The price point is a bummer, but good to know that the shadows are nice! Hope your poor mouth feels better soon xo

Thanks for this review! I think I might get the L'Oreal 2nd palette to use as a companion to my Naked 3 and Too Faced Natural Matte palettes.

Kim Richards Awe man, I got excited reading your tip, LOL! Too bad. :(
You look stunning here. Thanks for the demo.
Great video which gave me a better insight for comparing. Thanks for sharing
I need to find these here in my province, I'm in Canada. Glad to hear the quality is good. Thx The search begins, wish me luck. LOL
I would keep an eye out for them in Shoppers or Rexall, if not Walmart. :)
Thanks for the review! The 2nd pallet looks similar to the Coastal Scents Winter Berry pallet.
I just found your channel, and you are AMAZING!
Love your reviews always bailey!
Lol, the nude 2 was mainly directed toward darker skin. That's why it's purpley.
That being said I appreciate the comparisons a lot and I think I'll be buying the nude 2 next time I'm out.
Like always awesome review!
Just found your reviews and subscribed. I am buying this can't wait to try it.
Hey bailey you should do the husband/boyfriend tag it would fun to watch:)

Just found your channel and I love your style!
Great review, bailey! Hope wedding planning is going well :-)
Do the shadows crease? How long do they wear
The Nude 2 Palette reminds me of the limited edition Laura Mercier Artist's palette for eyes, so I had to pick it up! :)
Wish I would have seen your videos the other day! I bought the maybelleline and wish I would have got these!
Great review. I can't wait to see a tutorial with these, especially the nude 2. Wanted to ask which pallet you would recommend as a companion pallet for the nude 2, the blushed nudes or the revealed 2.
You have the the greatest reviews!! New subbie:)
if any of your viewers is from Texas and near an heb grocery store -- go there.. the palettes are $15.99 each-- and there is an heb $10 off coupon.. I got them for $10.99 each after coupon.

I want both la palettes so bad. Cute!!
As soon as you held up the second palette, I immediately thought of Kat Von D's Chrysalis palette, it looks like it has a lot of similar shades. I'll probably pick up the 2 before the 1, my UD Naked is a go-to for nudes.
I have both of these pallets, and none of the purpley shades from the chrysalis palette really match with number 2, so you won't be getting any repeat. to be honest, I like the Loreal palette better than that Kat Von D one :-)
very thorough, you articulate yourself well
Great review! Thank you for the insight!
I actually like this palettes !
Cheap & affordable! My all time favs are Urban decays ! But this ones surprise me !
u are so gorgeous and do a amazing makeup ,, I love ittt
its look like the naked palettes .... I just love then ..do u think this is better then the naked palette?
Great review!!!! Very informative
I love the #2 palette...I also picked up the Maybelline Blushed Nudes to use with it to bring some more pink in. Great review!!
britstitch Thank you!
Thanks for all the information I really needed that
I just spotted these palettes at Target today and the prices have gone up.
The La Palette Nude 2, at first glance, makes me think of the Clinique black honey palette. Do you have that one to compare?
I love your reviews -- so much info and well presented. Lapalette2 reminds me of pur mineral's soul mattes or even Lorac unzipped ... I have not seen these yet in Canada -- hoping they head north soon :)
Thank you for the review, your video is very informative :D
Been wanting to get my hands on these! I wander if the nude 2 is similar to the Laura mercier artist palette??!
I have the LA Palette 2 and mine doesn't come off as purples. it comes off more like the Naked 3. I kept looking at it and I don't see purples as much as you say.......maybe a diff. formula?
Hi Bailey! How would you compare these to the Coastal Scents Reveal palettes? Thanks for the video and happy Friday Eve!!! :)
Hi everyone - I'm sure the connection has already been made (sorry for repeating it of its been already): the 2nd palette is actually a very great dupe for Urban Decays Naked Basics 2 (5 of the 6 matte shades). The shades may be a touch different (intensity) but they're very similar. Great transition shades and this compliments the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette beautifully. Wait till it goes on sale and use coupons/points (depending where you live) to get it for a great price. Hope this helps
Great video! I'm from Canada and this is the second video I've seen on L'Oréal La Palette Nude 1 and 2, however the two I have are both nude, I don't have a purple one and I got them for $12.49 CAD. This is so interesting! Subscribed! :)
Hey I've just subscribed!!! You are gorgeous and very nice! Lots of love!
My Walgreens in PHX had them at $10.79 each + buy one get one 50% off.
If you can find deals like that it's even better :)
As always GREAT REVIEW!!!!!!!!
Hi loved this review 😀
This was so helpful thanks!!
May I know what lipstick you're wearing? It's so pretty on you! Thanks :)
Wow this vid was amazing
FYI, for some reason the UK version of these are different. Different packaging, smaller (good for travel) and different colours. The beige one has more dark than light colours and six mattes. The rose is less purple and includes a lovely peachy colour and a very wearable purple shimmer. Emma x
loved this vid! I can't get over your lip color, can you please tell me what it is.
I agree. It's very pretty!
Chrystal M Christina Wallman Thank you! It's Pür Minerals Pout Pen in Fuzzy Navel!
Thank you so much I'm gonna go pick that up! I hope it looks as good on me as it did on you!
My skin is actually so pink/purple toned that the LaPalette Nude 2 works way better as neutrals than the 1, which come off as orange-y.
have you reviewed the makeup revolution iconic palettes? love to know ur thoughts and how they compare with the palettes you reviewed here.
Have you seen the Forever 21 Nude palette? I would love to see how it compares. AND! It's less than eight bucks!
You are awesome. This is first video that I watched....already subscribed.. (Y)
How does the purple LaPalette compare to Ultas's Rose Gold palette?
junbug1029 I haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you know if/when I do!
+Bailey B what a great review. well spoken and thought out. good comparison. I always compare high end and drugstore.
Awesome review thanks.
great review....very helpful! thank you...xo
Is it bad that I probably would never use the #2 palette but I find myself wanting it anyways.
Great review
Can u please do the I ❤️ drug store makeup tag or the perfect palette tag please please
this video is helpful! thanks!
