I love love love that you aren't afraid to be honest and truly compare and contrast with high end and drugstore brands. You're amazing and always look gorgeous!
Hi! MY name is Billy B and Im a makeup artist and as the Global Consulting makeup artist for Loreal Paris I created the 2 naked palettes and Im thrilled that you are enjoying them! You did a great job breaking it down for everyone and a beautiful job applying it. I enjoyed watching! Thanks again xo billy b
I've been a fan of your channel for over a year and I don't know where I've been on your tutorials (are you doing something new?) but I've got to say BRAVO! Love love love the zoomed in tutorial, the focus on picking up the product on the brush (and which brush to use), the discussion of how to move the brush, where to place the product, etc. First tutorial I've seen where I feel like I could replicate the look and wasn't just watching a GRWM video. Thank you!
That eye look is flawless, Emily! It pairs with your eye color so well! I bought the 2 because I love purple. Returned it within 4 days. I was doing my first look with it and lost track of what color I was using. Not impressive when the colors look so similar I can't tell them apart.
I love how Emily doesn't do sponsored videos and she states she doesn't accept money in a exchange for videos. It just shows how much she really loves her channel.
I think if your coming from the perspective of solely drugstore palettes, there's not much to compare even with the Nude1 and for sure the Nude 2, even the Maybelline Nudes don't come close in quality. So in my opinion for anyone who doesn't purchase high end palettes both these fill a great need. I also think these palettes are great for the more mature eye. Most mature women don't want super shinny metallic shadows, so again these fillsa need that I feel is lacking in the drugstore eyeshadow realm. Great point on the Revealed comparisons though. Great review as usual. xoxo
MsKristinn321 I only catch myself grabbing for my IT Pretty Volume 1 original all matte palette every day. I'm almost 52 and I just love their shadow. The color spectrum is good and still tasteful for older women.
MsKristinn321 I agree! I always wanted the first Naked palette but didn't want to spend that much. La Palette Nude 1 is what I've been waiting for from the drugstore..a really good nude palette with more than one brown shade. I didn't even get the Maybelline Nudes because it looks cool toned. So, I agree with you. :)
I agree, I actually like these better than the urban decay because they are not as metallic and don't have chunks of glitter in them. I personally prefer shadows that aren't the most pigmented so I can build them up and there is less room for error :)
MsKristinn321 Totally agree with all points you made. Not everyone can afford the high end palettes nor want to spend that kind of money on high end palettes and these 2 from L'oreal allows the consumer to get a very good variety at a fraction of the cost. Thumbs up to L'oreal!
Your reviews are so thorough and in depth. I really enjoy it, I feel like you seriously sit down and try the product. You go into such detail and it rocks. I actually didnt really like the 2nd palette just based off of looks, but once you got into explaining the shades, I totally fell for it! You rock!
Great video Emily! I love how down to earth you are. You work so hard and are constantly making videos and creating amazing content while also being a fabulous mother and wife! You're such an inspiration! I just noticed how happy you seem in this video & its so great to see that! Have a great day!
I've be loving the creativity and new editing style that you've been doing with your videos at the beginning. I don't know how many people have mentioned anything, but I'm absolutely loving it! And I thought you should know that it's been noticed and greatly appreciated. I'm sure it's not easy to always come with new ideas and executing what you have in your mind onto the screen.
I've watched a bunch of makeup videos but yours is the first I've subscribed to bc I feel you honestly give reviews and seem so likable. Also you look like Sandra Bullock who is my absolute fav actress, so that doesn't hurt!
Wow these plum colors just make your eyes pop!! So beautiful! 😍😍😍 I'm so glad you mentioned the revealed palettes, we are receiving #2 in our boxycharm subscription this month! And if it's similar the the loreal la palette there's no need for me to go hunting for it 😁😁😁😁 thanks for the review Emily!
Love me a nude palette!! So glad you mentioned the revealed, I've been dying to know what its like for months now. Haven't seen these loreal palettes either... Physicians formula has a nude line as well, which I love. Quite shimmery, but very pigmented. These drugstore brands have really stepped up in the latest few years. I remember even 5 years ago there were NO eye or face primers in any drugstores here in Canada, and no pigmented eye shadow. What a difference now!
Not sure what's going on or changing with you except that you are a mom now, but you are becoming more beautiful every day! Love your hair in the video! Please do a tutorial on this look.
I actually like these palettes and I usually hate drugstore eyeshadows.. The 2nd palette's shadows just seem to be formulated better than La Palette 1, in my opinion.. You look stunning in purples, Emily.. they really flatter you.. you look fantastic in this video!! and I loved the intro - it was sassy! ;)
I have a feeling they might be soon! Since they have been coming out with more products that are on trend such as a contour palette, hopefully they'll start doing larger shadow palettes. I would also love to see a blush palette from them as I love their color icon blushes!
Great review, Emily! Literally every review I've seen on these mentions them being over priced BECAUSE THEY ARE. I'm really glad you showed the Revealed palettes as an alternative, they're a much better value money, quality and variety wise. Loreal and a few others (elf, Maybelline, Revlon) have increased their prices on almost all of their new products, with no real increase in quality IMO. I understand TH-camr's buying them for review purposes, but I'm irritated that consumers pay these increased prices for drugstore makeup just because something's new but not necessarily better. As long as we pay the raised prices they'll just keep raising them. It just gets my goat because I feel like the public is being ripped off :( Thanks again for the great review!
I like using these alone or pulling from other shadows that I own. I really love the dusty matte shades that are in each palette. I use those the most!
I have been greatly anticipating your review on these. I have the plum palette and I really like it. I've been on the fence about the la palette 1 and this helped me decide if I wanted it or not. Great review as always! 😊
Btw those colors look awesome on your GREEN eyes! Your highlighted cheeks were so on point! I use the NYC primer crayon too bc a primer is def needed with these shadows.
I've noticed you seem to really to be drawn to the pinky-pearl, rosey and burgundy eyeshadow colors, and the berry tones when it comes to lipsticks. Which is probably why you prefer the second palette over the first one, since it has wayy more berry tones. Just an observation, I'm sure you are fully aware of that too, lol
I purchased both initially but returned Nude 1. I just wasn't impressed with the pigmentation and as you mentioned, there wasn't anything unique about it. However Nude 2 is a different story! I LOVE purples and didn't have a palette with just purple/plums so it totally fills that niche. Plus I think the pigmentation is great, way better than Nude 1. I couldn't be happier with Nude 2 and have been wearing it almost every day since I bought it!
Sara Nicole Exactly! And I liked how there were more mattes in the Nude 2, because I think they did a surprisingly good job with them. Sometimes the drugstore mattes can be kind of dry or hard to blend.
They are both so beautiful, we only have two very small Le Palette Nude from Loreal here in the UK, and the colours seem little different too... You guys always get the better deals in the States too, so envious!
I've seen a few reviews on the L'Oreal Nude palettes but yours is the opinion that I trust so I waited and hoped you'd review these. Based on your review I bought No. 2 for the plum tones. Thank you! It is just as you say. I can always trust your honest and thorough reviews.
LOVE the Revealed Palettes! I have 1 and 2 . . . Naked 1 and 3 . . . .but purchased L'Oreal Nude 1 palette as well (guilt!). I love the look you did with it, Emily!
emilynoel83 i love that you take your time and really put it to the test before making a video... i think i will pass on these. what do you think of the maybeline pallets
I actually went with the second palette as well when I was at the store making my choice. The first one didn't stand out to me but the second did especially that plum color at the end! Great tutorial you look lovely. :)
We must be on the same wavelength! I had 45 minutes tonight to get me and my daughter ready for her Regional Band concert tonight- both hair and makeup. I had to use whatever was on my vanity. The La Nude 2 and the Revealed 2 were both there and I had used each palette only once previously. I automatically grabbed for the Revealed 2 for us both. The shadows kick up a bit of powder, but they blend much more easily and prettily than the Loreal.
I totally agree with some of the shimmer shades, not much pigmentation, BUT you can get more pigmentation by wetting your brush with water, MAC fix plus, and dipping your brush in the shadow -- you will get WAY MORE pigmentation, and the foiled look you are looking for.
Emily, there have been soooo many reviews on these palettes but yours is the one I was waiting for. I got caught up in the hype and went to 5 CVS stores in my city to find these palettes (I had Extrabucks that brought the price down to $9 for palette 2). I appreciate your review so much!! And a big thank you for mentioning Coastal Scents -- I was hoping somebody would offer an opinion of The La Palettes vs. Revealed instead of UD (which I can't afford). You are the best!! 😊
Thanks for another honest review. I had seen these at Walmart, and contemplated getting them. I have the Revealed 1 & 2, and the plums aren't a good enough reason to spring for these. Thanks again for helping me stay within my beauty budget😀
I have more of a warm/olive undertone to my skin, and I find that the La Palette 2 tends to make me look tired and sick, where as the La Palette 1 makes my eyes look alive and awake. La Palette 1 had an amazing transition shade that I tend to use for all my eye looks, even when I am using high end eyeshadows for the rest of the eye because it blends well with my skin tone, and it is the perfect shade for transitioning from the lid color to the brow color. So, where the La Palette 2 may be your choice of Palettes between the two, I think for those with warm undertones to their skin, the La Palette 1 may be a better choice.
i have very oily lids too (some people have commented) and i use hard candy's eye primer first and let it dry a lil. then the nyc 24 hour primer after. and my eye shadows dont budge now or end up below my eyes anymore. its been the only thing so far that has worked. although i am interested to try the milani eye primer next. in my opinion the nyc primer is probably my holy grail/cant live without product as far as eyes are concerned.
This eye look looks great on you! I also have the nude 2! Hoping to have a tutorial up soon! 😊✨💕 and definitely agree the nude 2 is way better 👌🏼 great colors!
Thank you for this review! I was looking at these at Walgreens yesterday and I thought about the #2 one, but it seemed so similar to the Coastal Scents #2 so I passed on it. I am glad that you reviewed it and I may go back for it since you suggested it was more versatile.
Just a tip- these palettes are $19.99 at Cvs every now and then they go on sale for b1g1 1/2 off. I bought mine (1,2) using my xtra bucks and ended up paying $10 for both. I think this is the perfect time to buy these. Loved the review Emily:)))
Great review. Totally agree about neutral palettes being overdone - wish someone would do a palette with a good balance of muted and bright shades. Seems so many do neutral with one or two random blues, which few people actually wear.
I'm actually really curious about that NYC primer you used! I don't think I've ever seen a primer in that format and I'd love to hear your thoughts on that.
@Taylor A, I have that primer and I like it. It's a bit of a lighter finish or fe than the primers that come in the NYC quad palettes w/the highlighter and primer. Although with my lesser performing shadows I will use a different primer. But this works great with most middle to high end shadows.
I'm glad I waited for your review before running out and buying it. They look nice, but I think I've got enough of the same shadows to go ahead and pass. Love your look though, and that intro! So great :)
Totally agree I bought the second Palette #2. I have enough of the nude brown, bronze shades so totally happy with Palette #2. Happy I bought it at Target it was $15.99 compared to Ulta at $19.99....! Love your eye look :)
Great review as always Emily! You look so gorgeous! I think these palettes aren't supposed to be that different in color and trying to be as similar as possible to the naked palettes so it's an option for people who can't or don't want to shell out the money for urban decay.
Thanks for this review Emily! I saw this palette and since The Maybelline blushed nudes was kind of a let down for me (shadow lasted for about a minute on my lids without a primer 👎🏽) I'm glad to come upon this! I will still get the Too Faced I'm eyeing but the La palette2 will be good for the pinks and plums! Salamat!
Hi There are 3 covergirl eyeshadow palettes came out. They looked so pretty. I want to know your opinion and tutorial about them. you are just great professional make up artist and your opinion about the make up and color and etc..are so useful. Thank you.
You're one of the few beauty youtubers that prefer the 2nd palette. ;). I love it, the 5th color from the left is so unique is gorgeous, and I love the look you came up with, it looks great on you. I'm gonna have to check out your blog for more looks from the LaPalette 2. ;)
You may want to see something different at the drugstore, but a lot of people will appreciate that the drugstore finally has some nude type palettes. A lot of people cannot afford the naked palettes or the lorac pro palettes. So while you want some different colors at the drugstore, people who cannot afford the higher end brands will appreciate these. I still love your videos though! :)
Great review of these! I purchased both but have returned them both. I just couldn't get a look that wasn't muddy and the colors just didn't translate well on the lid. That killed me because they swatch so pretty. I ended up getting the Revealed palette and love that!
I absolutely agree with everything you said :) I really enjoy the Nude 2 palette, and find it to be just different enough from all the various nude palettes that have cropped up, to be useful in my collection :)
I got the urban decay naked 2 on ebay for $30, but I am tempted to try these. I wish they'd make a nude palette with forest green or some kind of greenish colors...
If you're looking for a more green tones palette, Hard Candy actually has one that she did a review on. It was the only palette she liked from that series so you could look into that! :)
Hahah totally get that feeling with a good eye shadow. Or any gorgeous swatch from a new makeup item - it's like an adrenaline rush and makes me do the heart eye emoji!!
I love love love that you aren't afraid to be honest and truly compare and contrast with high end and drugstore brands. You're amazing and always look gorgeous!
My goodness Emily! I feel like you get prettier and prettier with every video! 😍😍😍😍
those plum tones always look sooo good on you!! great video, as always!
Best reviews presented on TH-cam, hands down. So in depth!

So many reviews have gone up for these, but I wanted you to know that I trust and respect your opinion the most!

I just picked up the la pallet 2 at CVS today. I had coupons and CVS bucks, I ended up paying $3.11!!!!! Whoo hooo!!!
You won! lol
I have this palette (#2) and love it, been using it for about a month. Those colours really suit you , you look stunning!
britstitch thanks so much! :D
You are THE best youtube guru for reviews, one of the few I trust since the beginning!! thank you for your hard work xxxxx
I cannot wait to get me hands on these, the nude 2 looks amazing with the purples and rose gold colours xx

The eye look you created is making me want to get this palette!!! You and the look are soo beautiful... Love it!!
I love how the plums kind of make your pretty brown eyes take on a sort of greenish/hazelish color ~ very, very pretty, Emily! Hugs from Iowa!
YAY! I've been hoping you would review this one!
Awesome intro and video! YOU ARE GORGEOUS!!!
Thank you so much! 💗

Not sure what's going on or changing with you except that you are a mom now, but you are becoming more beautiful every day! Love your hair in the video! Please do a tutorial on this look.
the plum look looks amazing on you...so pretty!:)
You look even more beautiful today than usual, I think it's the middle part and smokey eye combo "sultriness" lol ..it really suits you!
I actually like these palettes and I usually hate drugstore eyeshadows.. The 2nd palette's shadows just seem to be formulated better than La Palette 1, in my opinion.. You look stunning in purples, Emily.. they really flatter you.. you look fantastic in this video!! and I loved the intro - it was sassy! ;)
Wet n' Wild needs to come out with a larger palette other than their 8 pan palettes. I bet they'd be so great
I have a feeling they might be soon! Since they have been coming out with more products that are on trend such as a contour palette, hopefully they'll start doing larger shadow palettes. I would also love to see a blush palette from them as I love their color icon blushes!
Wow I didn't know they came out with a contour palette! I'll have to keep an eye out for that. A blush palette would be great too.
thanks to your channel I'm already super happy with my revealed 1 and 2 from costal scents!
Marc Jacobs eye shadows are the easiest to blend so creamy and soft! Amazingness!!!
Can't wait to get these. My husband actually prints the back labels for these. His company does the labels for Loreal
Your reviews are perfect! Smart, beautiful, and so talented!
wow!!! I love your channel!!! Your makeup tutorial and reviews are so easy to follow!!
Yes!! I've been wanting a review on these for so long!! Thanks so much
Great review, Emily!
700,000 subscribers!! Love you lots and congrats!
I love Loreal makeup is amazing and they do the best mascara such a elegant brand!
Thank you for your (as always) honest opinion. And I luv the tutorial. If only it came out that beautiful when I apply to my own eyes...
You look especially gorgeous in this video!!! Stunning!
You look stunning! The plum smoky eye looks great with your eyes. Thanks for another great and thorough review - made a good study break! :) haha
For someone with a very small collection and budget to match, I think these are great!
Sara Nicole Exactly! And I liked how there were more mattes in the Nude 2, because I think they did a surprisingly good job with them. Sometimes the drugstore mattes can be kind of dry or hard to blend.
So glad you made this review! Thanks for always being informative and honest in your reviews :)
They are both so beautiful, we only have two very small Le Palette Nude from Loreal here in the UK, and the colours seem little different too... You guys always get the better deals in the States too, so envious!
I love your look in the last 2 videos! stunning!
Emily, I LOVE the editing at the beginning!!!
Finally a you tuber that likes the second better!
Wow great review! I saw these in Boots yesterday and now I've seen this I am going to get the No 2 palatte most definitely! Thanks ever so much!
Oh my goodness, love your channel and I was literally waiting for you to make a video on this, because I knew you were totally going to!
Cody Elizabeth thank you!! :) I've been planning to do it for awhile but wanted to spend plenty of time testing out the palettes first!
emilynoel83 i love that you take your time and really put it to the test before making a video... i think i will pass on these. what do you think of the maybeline pallets
I actually went with the second palette as well when I was at the store making my choice. The first one didn't stand out to me but the second did especially that plum color at the end! Great tutorial you look lovely. :)
I've been waiting for my favorite beauty guru to upload!
Thank you!!!! I've been waiting for somebody to post a review on these and I'm so excited! ❤️
Love your new video intros, Emily!

Totally agree I bought the second Palette #2. I have enough of the nude brown, bronze shades so totally happy with Palette #2. Happy I bought it at Target it was $15.99 compared to Ulta at $19.99....! Love your eye look :)
You should do a drugstore prom tutorial!!!! Please! And you are flipping gorgeous!
Great review as always Emily! You look so gorgeous! I think these palettes aren't supposed to be that different in color and trying to be as similar as possible to the naked palettes so it's an option for people who can't or don't want to shell out the money for urban decay.
Soo buying the coastal sense palettes! Thanks for sharing those!
Salamat!
I have been trying so hard to resist, may just have to give in and pick these up! Fantastic review
you should do a coachella/boho chic look. this look you got going on right now kinda reminds me of that, beautiful!
You are ROCKING the middle part! :)
I so agree, the second palette is my favorite as well.
Those Costal Scents Palettes are gorgeous
Great review of these! I purchased both but have returned them both. I just couldn't get a look that wasn't muddy and the colors just didn't translate well on the lid. That killed me because they swatch so pretty. I ended up getting the Revealed palette and love that!
try wetting the brushes thats the only way the colors will appear true to live on our skin tone
I totally needed your help to see which one I should buy I'm leaning towards the 2nd one because of the purples
Just saw in Instagram that Nyx is putting out several palettes that include several bright, pop of color shades! Seems like something you would love!
Thank you so much for this awesome review and you look gorgeous today!
Everytime I see ANOTHER nude palette these days, my eyes cross. But I do want that first Coastal Scents one. Wow, it's got tons of options!
Love love love coastal scents palettes!!!!
Love the review I have been waiting for it!
Shondell Wilson Thanks Shondell!
hard candy has had larger pallets for a while. I used to use them quite a lot but the La palletes are a lot better and worth the money.
I have both I think there are great, especially for someone with a small collection. I have a decent amount of makeup and I likes!
