I don't know how any of these beauty vloggers ever hit pan on anything with all the product they have and use. I have 1/100 of the collection of Emily and I still never hit pan lol
Today is 7/16/22. Hi Emily I saw this video and I just had to visit with you and see what was happening back in the day. You are just as good then as you are today and I am so happy to have this visit with you. So this is when the Nudes Eyeshadows had already started and I am just now buying lots of them in this last year. Thanks to you Emily I have learned so much about makeup and how to buy, use, and when to do so too. We love you Emily.🌹
Michele Schulz Kate Lundberg That Walking on Eggshells looks so nice!! I see your comments are from the last 3 months, so Wet n Wild must still be making it/it is still available? I think I must pick this up! I'm 39, I keep hearing from youtube beauty guru's that shimmers aren't the best choice for older folks. Something about highlighting and/or settling in a bad way around the fine lines/crows feet around the eyes. I'm not sure how old you 2 are, but I figured I'd take a stab in the dark and just ask what you think. Any advice would be so appreciated and SO nice. :) I've JUST gotten back into makeup again after almost 20 years without purchasing or wearing any at all. As in, I had ZERO ZIP NADA makeup of any kind, shape or form. I spent from ages 19-ish to 38 completely makeupless and now I am getting back into it. For the most part I've just been picking up drugstore stuff and I have 4 Coastal Scents eyeshadow pallets. I'm really digging the Maybelline Colour Tattoo shadows. I'd love to try some Urban Decay especially that Primer Potion! Anyhooooo... Emily is always encouraging her subscribers to interact with one another sooooo I thought I'd ask for some advice. :) ;) Thanks in advance. :)
Voight Kampff Girl, go for it! I recommend the Wet n Wild Fergie eyeshadow primer over any other because it works just as well as or even better than higher-end eyeshadow primers! It is only $5! I enjoy my Chocolate Bar palette by Too Faced, my The Balm Nude 'Tude palette... so many different products!
faeriecrypt Thank you so much for replying. :) I'm so hoping to find that eyeshadow primer soon. I'm in Canada and Wet n Wild is pretty limited around here but Wlamart has a decent selection last I checked. I'm goin' shoppin' this weekend so I'll check there. We had Target for a whole year and I was like: YAY!!!!! And then Target closed all it's Canadian stores nation wide in April. I was super sad. I love target when I visit the states I was so excited that we finally had it here and then NOPE! LOL I reallllly want to try that chocolate bar palette REALLLY bad! Too Faced seems to make really nice stuff across the board, I rarely see any youtube videos complaining about their products. Maybe it's time for me to flex the plastic online with makeup. I'm already an ebay/etsy addict. haha Thanks again for the "giver" on shimmer makeup. I will then! :) Have a rad day!
+Voight Kampff I'm young but I have super hooded eyes and for some reason lots of wrinkles. People still complement when I wear shimmers so I would say go for it. I just always pair them with matte shades in the crease and it doesn't look bad at all. if you want a good matte pallette to pair shimmers with I got the makeup revolution matte pallete or the elf mad for matte.
Emily! I feel like you are the only "good you tuber" that is willing to try drugstore makeup and give us an affordable alternative to MAC shadows! I love makeup and I feel like unless you tell me a shade will apply and blend itself, it's not worth $15! LOVE YOU FOR THIS! You just became my favorite you tuber ! ps Thanks for the MAC dupes video- you came closer than ANY video I have viewed yet! They were not just similar, they were identical!
What I love the most about you is that you're not a makeup snob. You love good products and are unbiased in your opinions. Love love love you for that.
OMG!!!!! Covergirl Shimmering Sands!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!! That was my go to, most fave-o-rit eyeshadows for YEARS from about '93 - '98. They still make it!?!?!?! I'm blown AWAY! And I'm going to go purchase this TOMORROW!!! (I've just gotten back into makeup again after almost 2 decades not wearing ANY makeup of any kind.) I hope now that I'm almost 40 that it's not too shimmery for me. I keep learning from youtube beauty guru's that shimmers aren't the best for older folks. However, I'm unconventional AF. heh. :) I've got about 2/3 of my body tattooed and lots of steel in my face and crazy coloured hair. So, heh. I'm not your average 39 year old. Thank you Emily! I know this video is old but it's stupid o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep and I'm just going through some of your older videos for fun. (I've only been following you since early 2013.) I love your videos. And may I say that your makeup look in this one is particularly lovely. :)
Hey! I love your videos so much and I'm totally subscribed. I am debating on buying the ''Physicians Formula Nude Eyes' palette. Can you do a couple of tutorials with it if you don't mind? Thanks!
Emily your honestly one of the few makeup gurus who's been around for a while that hasn't become money obsessed or done questionably reviews, i can always trust your opinion, and I always look forward to a new video from you :)
you're my new favorite guru! so so honest & willing to point out real benefits and state that something may not be for everyone. you are a true makeup fan. keep it up, I'd hate to see someone so genuine go
The country woods quad from Covergirl has been my go-to neutral/brown set for YEARS! I have always love the pale shade as a great all over eye base for a quick look with a touch of eyeliner and mascara and I'm out the door! The golden tone is gorgeous in the summer time!
Sonia Kashuk has one for 20 dollars that's all matte if you're willing to spend it. I know there is also a hard candy one that's nice for around 6 dollars. Not as good as the Sonia kashuk one, but it will work with some primer and base!
+Shrina Patel I love the Sonia Kashuk palette! I have the KvD Shade & Light, and Tartelette in Bloom (which isn't an all-matte palette), but on the other end of the cost spectrum I strongly recommend the Physician's Formula matte quads. Zabrena does a Mac/PF dupe video which is really informative!
I just saw your view count! I've been following you for years, when your group was much smaller, and I think you totally deserve the attention and I love how the popularity has not made you different. Sadly, I've unsubscribed from so many gurus because they had let their popularity get to them. Loving your loyalty and effort, much love, Sabreen.
LOVE that Elf Palette! Bought it first at Target under a different name, then bought three more on the ELF website under two DIFFERENT names - one was $5, the other $3.50 ( I wanted to see if they were the same - they were)! Finally I bought two more at the $5 price as the $3.50 palette was gone. This is perfect for travel! All the shadows one needs. I've given two as gifts and kept the rest. Thank you so much for mentioning - and loving - it too!
i agreee, i love how you show more of the drugstore makeup, and i can actually watch your videos for hours because your voice isnt annoying and doesnt get old. when i watch girls that only buy mac i get bored because i dont buy it so theres no point in looking at their 3 story collection of makeup.
I went out and bought the Physicians Formula Nude Palette, and I am impressed! It really does have similar colors to the Naked 2 Palette (which I also own) but I love that it's so tiny! I can carry it around in my purse and transition to a smokey night-time look if I want. The pigmentation of the shadows and portability scored major points with me. The only palettes you mentioned that I don't have are the CG Golden Sunset, & the NYX palette. I will be getting those soon too! Thanks Emily!
I love your videos Emily! I really appreciate that you use BOTH high end makeup products AND drugstore products! I watch a lot of makeup videos on youtube and you are one of my favorites. Unlike a lot of known makeup bloggers/vloggers, not everyone can afford ONLY high end products. I'm 25 years old and I can't even afford that. Thank you for having reviewing both types of makeup. You do great tutorials and reviews and I respect your opinion! Thank you! xoxo LZ
I love the Too Faced palette you showed...I also love the Coastal Scents Warm palette. They have a lot of great neutral colors that are matte and shimmery.
I would LOVE to see a plummy/pink natural look tutorial featuring the ELF warm palette. Great job on all these "nude" drugstore palettes. All of them look wonderful!
Honestly, you are the most informative guru ever. You are by far my fav. I feel like i learn so much and about them, positives and negatives. Thank you so much!
I actually have the Wet n Wild "walking on eggshells" palatte and I get compliments on it. There is nothing wrong with drugstore make-up. I'm glad it's around. Thanks for includiing drugstore finds in your reviews.
Hey Emily, I gotta hand it to you !. Your post is very informative and definitely helps inspire my addiction for needing more neutral eyeshadow palettes. Kudos to us who are makeup lovers !!!
I am loving the nude eye palletes, my husband was telling me that he liked my makeup bc I didn't use too much, and I must have had 4 different colors on my lids. Guess I did a good job blending. The "no makeup" make up look was what I was going for that day. Another great video.
You can tell that you do the news because you are so well spoken and you don't say "umm" or any of those other thinking words. You are just very confident in your speech and I think it helps others trust your opinion because you are very sure of yourself! I really appreciate it because I feel like I have someone to count on and trust and everything that you talk about, you answer questions that all of us would have! Just wanted to say thanks!
I have that ELF palette, and I love it. The fact that not all of the colors are shimmery really sold me on it. That's the problem I have with using the Naked palette everyday.
I've been using the Too Faced palettes a lot lately. The Natural eye, the romantic eye, and the brand new sexy & sultry eye. They are great palettes, easy to travel with, and great colors!
Ur such an inspiration to all females tht love high end like myself but can't afford them ..u give the dupes to those high end and my drawer is filling up slowly but surely with these wonderful eye face n lip products..thank u Emily. Ur def the best. Keep it up honey love u....!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
I feel like you're the only guru that has thoroughly explored the drugstore cosmetics market. I find that a lot of gurus stick mainly to high end while throwing in some drugstore videos only because they get requests. Watching your channel has saved me money=)
I just bought the Physician's Formula "Nude" palette and LOVE it! I was searching for some tutorials for it on TH-cam and I ended up watching your review! I subscribed after watching half of the video! I love how well you describe all aspects of the product, from price to pigmentation! I also love that you are talking about make up that the "average" girl will be able to afford, Wet n' Wild, ELF and CG... thank you for being "real", You can totally consider me your new fan! Great video!
Sonia Kashuk has a GREAT neutral palette that are all MATTE shades. I believe you get about 15 warm and cool shades and they are all SUPER pigmented! It is also great for beginners because it has a instruction sheet included!
you are such a sweet person.i really love you reviews and you tutorials.i love that you are honest with your opinion and you don't talk only about high ends makeup products but also for cheaper alternatives.thanks a lot
I enjoyed your explanation of each palette. I would love to have an Urban Decay or a Too Faced palette, but they are not in my budget. The one problem I have with the palettes you've shown here is the extreme pearliness or shimmeriness (is that a word?) of all of the shades. Being over 40, I think those qualities tend to emphasize some of the fine lines developing around my eyes and the beginning of my eyelid starting to droop. Used sparingly, I like them for accents here and there. Having said all of this, I've not been fond of how flat and old the mattes make my eyes look. I suppose the satin-type shadows would be the best for me, but I've had virtually NO LUCK AT ALL with finding these in any drugstore palette.
Thanks for this!! I really needed a guide for neutral eyeshadows. I love wearing neutral colours, but I don't really want to purchase a palette with colours I don't use! Thank you, Emily!
your makup looks amazing in this video. Maybe one of the best I've seen so far. Theres an elegance here and the colors really match your skin tone here.
Also from Wet n Wild, the Vanity palette is an amazing neutral palette!!! There's six neutral shades 3 matte and 3 shimmer. Its amazing and I use it on a daily basis so I can save my more expensive palettes for special occasions :)
I just got the Physician's Formula one the other day. LOVE it. Great quality and staying power. It will look great on all skin tones. Also, I wear contact lenses and haven't had any irritation like I usually do with eye shadow.
I LOVEEEEEE Physician's Formula eyeshadows!! The hazel pallett and the green eyes pallett are ones I use almost every day. They are more of my "go to" palletts more then Urban Decay. Thanks for the tip...I will look for the naked PF now.
I think the Sonia Kashuk Eye Couture Eye on Neutral Palettes are BEAUTIFUL nude palettes, they come in matte and shimmer and they retail for $19.99 at Target
I have the same elf pallet. I bought it for Christmas cause I wanted to do a nude looking eye for the holidays. I was at my family for like 4 days. i did 4 different looks like this one pallet. Love It! Love it! Love it!
I've been considering purchasing the elf palette for a while. I know it's not a lot of money to pay for a palette that big but I hate buying makeup that ends up lying in some drawer! You SO convinced me to try this out! Thanks! And great choices, too! :) xxx
I like the IsaDora "Matte Chocolates" palette with 5 beautiful shades. I can define my brows, sculpt my face, do my eye make up for day and night using the same palette! It also has a nice mirror. The only downside is that it does not have a shimmery highlighting shade but I use a single eyeshadow from another brand. Sorry for mistakes, English is not my foreign language.
Have you ever created a video on how to apply eyeshadow or the different ways to apply it in general? I would really love to see something like that since I've barely started using eyeshadow.
Hi! The one I have is the NYX "nude on nude natural look kit" which is similar to the nyx bronze smokey eye kit that you used in a tutorial a while ago. It's a compact little thing, and so far I love the shades and the looks I can get from it. Keep up the great videos!!!
I would love to see a tutorial on any of these shadows! I just bought a "nude-ish" quad from Avon (Mocha Latte) and would love to see different looks using mainly browns and neutrals! Thanks Emily, love watching your videos!
Country Woods is my favorite palette ever. It is perfect because im a student and when I'm running late its very easy to just get a sweep of color and make me look a little more put together in the morning. :D
LOL! Love the disclaimer in the beginning! And you're in big trouble because every video I watch of yours makes me want to buy MORE STUFF! LOL! The hubby is gonna kill me! LOL!
This is a great video. I must have that Physician's Formula pallette now, LOL. I bought my Mom the ELF pallette for Christmas because she is very shy with make up and didn't have many eye shadows. Thought it was a perfect pallette for her. Thank you so much for another amazing video, Emily! You really are my favorite.
the elf warm palette is awesome! I am a makeup snob and I used that palette on Halloween to do a burgundy vampire eye.... and I used it for "special effect" makeup on my boyfriend ... it is awesome!
A really nice palette is nyx nude on nude palette, the small one. The pigmentations is very good and the pay off also. Anoer one is one elf trio that I think you own, the one that has mac woodwink dupe.
Milani Single e/s are some of the best drugstore quality e/s out there. The best mix of shimmery & matte neutrals to choose from: Rich Chocolate, Flare, Sheer Sand, Golden Bronze, Sun Goddess, Flare, Almondine, Spice to name a few :)
@HurriedBeauty Personally, Naked 2 seems more wearable on a day to day bases. Like Emily said, Naked is warmer toned colors which is nice if you want more depth. I find myself reaching for Naked 2 a lot more for day things and Naked for night events. You definitely don't need both, but it's nice to have the selection.
by far my favorite guru on youtube. i dont know how to describe how much i love it when i see a new video on fb notification!! i get so excited lol! watching your videos i dont feel like im gonna sit and watch the time pass during the video. you are awesome and i think i will cry if u stopped making videos. you are just beautiful and excellent in your video making skills :) lol thanks so much for it Emily!!! ur the best!
Coastal Scents 88 Warm palette... basically dont need any other shadow for neutrals. Though i have to admit it lacks some greys.. they have about 15 grey shades, but theyre all shimmery and less taupe
NYX Nude on Nude palette is very good. I heard they are quite comparable to the Naked Palette not necessary a dupe. And there are 20 shadows with some lip colors in a pull out thingy too.
I have the Coastal Scents, 28 Neutral palette & the 88 warm palette. I find that these have a full array of warm colors for a nude eye or brown or plum look. They're gorgeous colors & cheap :-)
Emily! If you haven't already tried this combo, u should! : elf mineral eyeshadow base & mac paint pot. For me, the eyeshadows stay on actually more than 24 hours! :)
Emily, it would be so great to see an updated version of this video!
Yea, would love to. Not only new ones, but showing the same one would be also (so i know the palettes I own are still best quality xD)
*would be also nice
Agreed!!!! We need an update Emily!
Yeah! Please do an update! There are so many new ones now...
I don't know how any of these beauty vloggers ever hit pan on anything with all the product they have and use. I have 1/100 of the collection of Emily and I still never hit pan lol
I love your voice. It makes your videos so compelling to listen to.
The Elf palette was ahead of their time w even some Naked 3 colors!
I forgot to mention. As many of the other commenters said, I would LOVE to see an update of this video!!

Nice recommendations. I will be looking for that golden sunset palette and walking on eggshells. Thank you
675 Videos....and you STILL keep coming out with such original videos, that are new, fresh and SO helpful and useful. THANK YOU Emily!
couldn't pay attention to the shadows because of thee "Sarah Palin" you're giving me
I am OBSESSED with the country woods shadows! I wear those colors everyday for a natural yet stunning look!
Walking on Eggshells has become my holy grail palette.
Mine too!!! Comfort Zone has some GREAT colors too!! I feel like I want to buy another one just in case they discontinue it. ;-)
Michele Schulz Kate Lundberg That Walking on Eggshells looks so nice!!

back when the naked 1 did...

Emily: *shows Butt Naked Eyeshadows*
Me: I want that.
Emily: *slides out blushes*
Me: GOTTA BUY IT NOW!
OMG!!!!! Covergirl Shimmering Sands!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!

the intro XD
@txbrunettegirl sorry, I forgot! just added it in there :)
You had me at the warning at the beginning lol
The country woods quad from Covergirl has been my go-to neutral/brown set for YEARS! I have always love the pale shade as a great all over eye base for a quick look with a touch of eyeliner and mascara and I'm out the door! The golden tone is gorgeous in the summer time!
You looked absolutely gorgeous int this video
You have introduced me to so many great lines of makeup and have taught me that applying it isn't intimidating at all! Thank you!
'm looking for a nude palette with more matte shades. What would you recommend?
Same
Sonia Kashuk has one for 20 dollars that's all matte if you're willing to spend it. I know there is also a hard candy one that's nice for around 6 dollars. Not as good as the Sonia kashuk one, but it will work with some primer and base!
I know this is really late, but I have been absolutely LOVING the Too Faced natural matte!
thank you!

The NYX Butt naked eyeshadow palette arrived in Target in Australia today... Yes 2016! We are so far .behind....and I bought it!

I have that ELF palette and I'm so glad I bought it!! It tends to be my hi-to eyeshadow for most days and I love love loooove it!
I love the cover girl eyeshadow quad in urban basics. the colors are gorgeous and subtle and I think they would look great on anyone.
also, the 'nude' or bronze look is my favorite, whether its smokey or natural...Love them all!! Thanks for this video!

I'd love to see tutorials on ALL the palettes you've shown here! Thanks so much for the video!
Emily your smile is just amazing
i love how down to earth you are please don't you ever change
I have the same nail polish... I love the color.. it also looks great under Essie's shine of the times...
I have had CG Country Woods forever and its always been a favorite of mine!
your makup looks amazing in this video. Maybe one of the best I've seen so far. Theres an elegance here and the colors really match your skin tone here.
I'm not a big fan of bright, bold eye looks and wear mostly neutral shades so this video is great! Thank you!!
I like the physicans formula baked eyeshadow trio in oatmeal. It is quite shimmery but is absolutely beautiful!
I have had that ELF palette for a looong time, and I LOOOVE IT! It is absolutely amazing!
Im totally addicted to your channel!!! One of the few youtubers that sounds so pleasant and not rambly. Get direct reveiws.
Also from Wet n Wild, the Vanity palette is an amazing neutral palette!!! There's six neutral shades 3 matte and 3 shimmer. Its amazing and I use it on a daily basis so I can save my more expensive palettes for special occasions :)
I love your reviews. You're so thorough and descriptive👌
@CatherineMcT thanks for your requests! :D
I collect and only wear neutral shadows as well as make up in general.the coastal scents neutral palette is great as well.
Have you ever created a video on how to apply eyeshadow or the different ways to apply it in general? I would really love to see something like that since I've barely started using eyeshadow.
She made an 'easy eye' series pretty recently, very awesome for beginners!
Hi! The one I have is the NYX "nude on nude natural look kit" which is similar to the nyx bronze smokey eye kit that you used in a tutorial a while ago. It's a compact little thing, and so far I love the shades and the looks I can get from it. Keep up the great videos!!!
Would love to see a video tutorial on how you did your eye makeup in this video. I love it!
NYX 10 Color Shadow Runway Collection in Champagne and Caviar is great option and has pretty great variation between warm and cool shades.
I would love to see a tutorial on any of these shadows! I just bought a "nude-ish" quad from Avon (Mocha Latte) and would love to see different looks using mainly browns and neutrals! Thanks Emily, love watching your videos!
You are an excellent reviewer u r mature and affordable not over the top I always enjoy your descriptions
Best beauty guru ever. I love that you are so detailed and descriptive.
Wet n Wild 6-pan in Vanity (shimmer and matte) and the 8-pan in Comfort Zone (all shimmers with a bonus green) are awesome drugstore neutral palettes.
LOL!
I find you so soothing Emily haha. Whenever I'm stressed or just trying to relax I love seeing your new videos in my TH-cam feed!
I love mark cosmetics! I have a bunch of their eyeshadows and a few of them are my everyday eyeshadows.
All those are wonderful! Another one is wet n wild color icon, 6 shades in a pallette and it is called vanity!
please never stop making videos! all of your tutorials, reviews, EVERYTHING has been so helpful :) TEAM EMILY!
I highly highly highly recommend the NYX Nude on Nude palette (the long one). I love the color selection and pigmentation of the eyeshadows :)
I've had the NYX palletes for awhile and I still LOVE them. Super pigmented.
Coastal Scents 88 Warm palette... basically dont need any other shadow for neutrals. Though i have to admit it lacks some greys.. they have about 15 grey shades, but theyre all shimmery and less taupe
The PF packaging is so cute! I would want to buy that and the NYX palette since I am not into lip stuff. GREAT VIDEO !
Revlon Colostay has a really nice neutral pallette, too. It's shimmery, but the colors are very pretty.
Emily! If you haven't already tried this combo, u should! : elf mineral eyeshadow base & mac paint pot. For me, the eyeshadows stay on actually more than 24 hours! :)
