Bonjour! Un véritable projet pour les Africains. Ma suggestion est de traduire en plusieurs langues la même vidéo pour atteindre toutes les couches. Plein succès🎉. Je suis de la RDC.
I tried fish farming with 300 fish a couple of years ago. I learnt a lot on my first try but the price of feed is crazy now. I believe however, that it is more profitable on a larger scale and when you make your own feed.
It's not only on a large scale but a small scale can give you a more percentage return yield. There is something he said that you missed that impacted your farm. This is majorly how you did it and managed it. Don't rely on the direct operation of raising fish. First mitigate against your operation cost which is about your 85% strategic success eg zero cost logistics and zero cost raw materials. These are full everywhere. Thank me later.
@@greatestmindsresource4133 I also tried fish farming with some friends a few years ago. It was hard to survive. One of the major problems that we faced is the market price. The wholesale buyers in the Abuja fish market determine the price. You are at their mercy. I would like to know how to mitigate against this. We tried to find a new market but we soon realised that they control the market as far as Kaduna and other neighbouring states. We all gradually quit cos we often run at a loss.
I agree but with the factors I mentioned. Remember the larger the scale the greater the risks. I'm setting up my farm in Imo and putting all measures in place. I brought a delivery van, a supply van, raw materials and a purchasing van, processing mill and mini factory, ten acres of land quality and well trained staff etc. registered with necessary authorities and ready for export at take. All energy sources will be produced organically and materials produced by the agro section. So all measures must be in place like recycling wastes to gas using digesters and creating your own fertiliser etc. it's easy if you get it right.
@greatestmindsresource4133 the larger the scale the more fish to spread the running cost on. I'm telling u this from experience. I invested in a friend's fish business more than 10yrs ago. In his 1st 2yrs he made zero profit. Then when I decided to partner with him, I looked at the books. The running cost was killing him. So I suggested that we add 2 more ponds to it since the cost would be spread on more fish. We made profit and then he realised his mistake. We expanded and did it for 3yrs and made profit till he decided to move in different direction and we exited honorably
Am so amazed to see Dr. Farm provide employment for young Nigerians. I think you will inspire more rich people to create job opportunities for young generation in Nigeria and Africa all together.
The world is a much nicer place when there is peace and plenty in Africa. Love the energy, innovation and entrepreneurship coming out of Africa. Love from India. We are using similar small agriculture and aqua businesses to get people out of poverty.
and to add to this fishery, you can grow the Azolla plant in the water (or another tank/pond, using the nitrogen rich water from the fish tanks for fertilizer. this Azolla plant can be used as feed for most farm animals (pigs, chickens, cattle, ducks) and will be a very low cost to your productions...it is harvested from the water, dryed and chopped then added to the feed you give to animals, reducing the cost of their feeds.
I am from the Philippines,I wish I could learn fish farming and be one of the food-chain producers after Pandemic.I have ponds small one to start with and a very limited resources. But I am determined to pursue my plans.I hope you can help me in anyways.GOD BLESS and more power THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

@greatestmindsresource4133 this is not true. You need volume make profit since at a point the running cost will plateau.
