- I begin to hack up the E36, and also install a 933 Motorsport rear strut bar. The car is coming along quick and there's some major changes coming just around the corner. Stay tuned for more content and let me know what you all want to see next.

I know you all want to see the turbo build get underway, but there's a ton of work I need to get done first. Slow progress is still progress! Personally I've made little to no progress on my e36 build since it's now my daily and work all time! The turbo will happen people just need to chill, it's not easy unless you have loads of cash to just throw at your projects. Keep up the good work Austin.

Hey Austin I hope you read this. I have a 1992 5 speed 325i. I've been through 3 Getrag transmissions (blown second gear during spirited driving. I suggest you get a ZF transmission that came on the 1996-99 323i 328i some early E39 528i (With M52). You will need the driveshaft from the 328i or the 323i along with the shifter assembly. Good luck. Those are the same transmissions as the M3 (ZF 320z.)
It's crazy how you guys can drive these things on the streets, I got pulled over for a stupid muffler delete on my Ek sedan just yesterday!

clean all the power steering areas (i sprayed a bunch of brake cleaner everywhere). one of the leaks could just be the connection of the return line and the reservoir. mine (93 325i) had that issue.

That's because those oem 5/7 series rims run like 1/3 -1/2 the offset you need, if you had the proper offset they wouldn't rub at all. Unless that's the exact fitment your going for I don't see why you had to cut the fender lip because with the proper offset wheels and properly sized tires they tuck and fit perfectly.

I understand they can be expensive but have you looked at any after-market rim for the miata?
if you have money i think its better for you to cut the rear 1/4 panel of the miata and try to go wide i will solve the problem and he's going to look insane

I don't think those work well since the bolt spacing isn't perfectly identical to BMW and the center bore may be too. OK for drifting cause who balances burners anyhoo?

I will eventually, but it's not a priority at the moment. I'm actually planning to roll cage the miata at some point in the somewhat near future though. It's going to be practice for the E36, since it's much easier. I could do all the welding outside the car and learn to work with the material. It'll prepare me a bunch for the E36, which will be a lot more difficult. +Zsolt Balint

Get some 205/45's and you'd have plenty of clearance, be lower, and looking better it's not hard and that's such a cheap size

It's on Hottuning coilovers, which are 100% identical to Racelands (even the serial numbers are the same). +machinemelt
My brakes are squeaky on my e46 breaks are fine anyone know the cheapest way to fix

The nearest one is 3 hours away, which is far from ideal when you don't have a tow setup. Although, I may try to make the trip once the car is more dialed again. +truolordas

Worst idea cuting the lips. Seems like you are just to lazy to roll. And they aren't sealed anymore. Don't ruin a car to fit tires! Buy wheels and tires that actually fit. Or just roll the damn things
I'm far from lazy and I spent over an hour trying to roll the rear fenders. The seam is really strong and there's a heavy thick layer of sealant which makes it extremely difficult. I tried using metal piping with no luck whatsoever. I even tried heating up the fender with a blow torch and hitting it with a hammer (which didn't work either). The best I could do was to slightly bend in the inner lip, which barely added any clearance. That's why I eventually decided to just chop the lip out like a lot of other E36 owners.
