I'd LOVE this. I always like seeing if there's a good drugstore product before I go trying high end ones. And I don't like buying a bunch without recommendations. So much I've tried from the drugstore has not been good so I often end up wasting $ trying too many

1. Blush/cheek tints: The best way for me to apply is with my fingers. Definitely a gel that dries down- not a cream. Still like them.
2. Primer- didn’t notice much change in staying powder- feels nice in texture.
3. Primer spray. The ingredients are meh but the bottle is AMAZING! Buy it on Ulta (it’s on sale) for just the smooth sprayer alone.
4. I didn’t buy the tinted base cuz I like medium coverage.

I completely agree about the whole eyeshadow pigmentation thing ....I bought the Kat Von D Fetish palette and it is ridiculously pigmented, I was shocked. I would never bust it out for a quick makeup look. While it is still nice I would much prefer a shadow that I can build up the pigmentation, so much easier to work with.

I totally agree with you - about people using makeup not just for others seeing them but as a art medium. During this quarantine I’ve done full face of makeup literally every day, even wayyyyy more glam then when I was in the office. Now I feel even more free to play and do crazy eye looks, etc.
I *really* like that you tried out the products for a few days and then showed them applying on camera...I feel like so many beauty youtubers try them on camera but we don't really know what it will be like after a week of using it!

Hey girl I know skincare advice is not always welcomed especially when ones tried just about everything under the sun 😫 but I just wanted to mention curology to you . Don’t know if you’ve tried it but I’m on week 3 of it and my skin is doing amazing. I’ve had cystic acne and overall hormonal breakouts since hitting puberty and nothing has ever helped it but the curology improved it within the first week ! It healed my cystic breakouts within a few days and is helping tame any new inflammation I’ve gotten from my menstrual cycle

I've got that same Double Take stick and I absolutely love it. I was really uncertain at first because the contour swatches so dark. I bought it anyway, just for the dewy highlighter and have fallen in love with the contour as well, once I get over the initial shock and blend it out.
Here at a vvvv appropriation time... love you so much Sam!! You are authentic and always trying to educate yourself on various important topics such as BLM and climate change etc... and it truly inspires me to do the same all while loving beauty/fashion.

hi I'm just stumbling for about the past two weeks onto your channel I've totally binge watched a ton of your vlogs with you doing your makeup and talking about your dealings with depression and anxiety loneliness staying at home and always being alone by yourself w no real outside contact and only really seeing your boyfriend and your family like once a week, but never really any outsiders, it's so crazy how I am in such a similar situation to yourself I am a stay-at-home mother and my husband is a truck driver that I only see once maybe two days a week if that, I totally am secluded and in my own little world in so many ways, I get totally freaked out over the dumbest things it's like going to the store is a task for me or taking a shower or getting to go to the tanning bed which is something that I absolutely love bc I suffer from psoriasis which also causes me to have severe anxiety and panic attacks in public which thank God mine is not as bad as most it is located mostly on my elbows kneecaps and legs also ears so embarrassing but the tanning bed seems to take care of it all but I don't know what else I'm sacrificing by cooking myself in a bed like a microwave but it's getting to the tanning bed that I have a problem with another one of those easy task I find hard to do, I feel so related to you when you talk about your problems with doing what you consider normal easy to do tasks but you just can't seem to get them accomplished and I look at myself the same way, like what is wrong with me I can't even get in the damn shower when most people take a shower run out the door with their three kids all dressed up and walking in a straight line w homemade lunches packed and mom dressed to the nines w their so called "perfect" little families when it seems like everything in mine is ass backwards and opposite to the norm I totally relate to you n so many ways it's crazy and I think you are so highly intelligent, beautiful, sweethearted, but moody as hell just like myself w a constant resting biotch face LOL and I truly think you're using your platform the exact way I would like to if I was in your position to reach out to people like me who need someone to relate to them so we don't feel so alone belittled by ourselves or just like killing ourselves each day just for being so irrelevant bc I also understand how you feel about thinking we are ur tru friends bc I truly feel like ur my bff lol and I know it's just a disillusion in my mind bc i really know nothing about ur life other than what u show us but hey the Make-Believe makes me feel better about myself like I really do have a friend that I share things in common with that's not going to backstab me sleep with my man try to tear me apart to other people I know or make a mockery of the things I say or act as if they can't believe I'm actually acting so ridiculous about something so stupid or irrelevant to them but feeling like you are my best friend just helps me thru my day plz don't think I'm sum whack job bc I'm totally quote on quote normal if there is such a thing and watching you keeps me going stronger bc I've been thru hell and back n my life and I'm only 36 w two boys Blake 18 and Brett 13 but I think you're such a cool soul and I know this probably has nothing to do with this video I just happened to write it underneath this one and I know I'm just totally dumb and corny like that but I can say you have became the sunshine in so many of my darkest days bc just caring about what you're going through or how you're feeling for the day takes my mind off of what I'm going through for a moment and I love the way your not too over dramatic and the way u downplay things like your engagement for instance bc you're not some TH-camr trying to be liked by all or acting like a hoe and grasping for those numbers or to be the latest most popular TH-camr w the most followers due to drama, I think you are an absolutely wonderful person inside and out and you are so beautiful and fun to watch and you make so much good content while putting on your makeup lol that it makes it fun and enjoyable to actually watch u putting on ur makeup bc u make me smile even on my worst days when no one else does with your truthful and like WTF facial expressions u crack me up so much so just wanted to say thanks and that i could never get enough of watching ur vlogs their way to funny & enjoyable to watch, love to you from Kimberly from Reidsville, North Carolina p.s. sorry this comment was so very long my bad xoxoxoxo

I want that eyeshadow palette. I was still waiting for a dupe of the Subculture that had great quality and this one seems to work great, well pigmented and those metallics look sooo pretty
I remember watching someone (cant remember who unfortunately) compare the e.l.f. opposites attract palette to subculture and dupe a lot of shades! Ive yet to try it myself so I can't personally confirm the quality but it had great reviews!

This is gorgeous on you!! I have the foundation and concealer in my Ulta cart- but I seriously don’t need anymore of either. You couldn’t be more right- the way they grouped the colors and undertones is brilliant. I’m super impressed!
I remember hearing Mathu Andersen talking about the photo editing thing a while ago, and it really stood out to me. He talked about how photo editing is really just an extension of a palette. You're already altering your outward appearance with makeup, and thus people's perceptions of you, so photo editing is just another layer of that. There are people like @matieresfecales and @salvjiia on instagram, where they use makeup and prosthesis to achieve a certain look/concept, but can carry it so much further with editing their photos.
I find that the glitters work better on a glitter glue or pigment primer and with the finger! Love you, love this!

This palette is giving me the Bad Habit Cult palette vibes (they’re the dupes for Pat McGrath mothership palettes).
The packaging is exactly the same and the shadows look soooooo similar.

That ELF brush is my absolute favorite for highlighting! Especially the Fenty powder highlighters that almost feel like a cream, and other "powder" highlighters that are more emollient and difficult to pick up on a brush.
That peach shadow in the palette is so pretty. I would never have thought your contour and highlight would have come from that stick, looks great on you though.
🎀 I wanted to try their Foundation & Concealer but then saw the ingredient lists and smack in the middle is pure Alcohol. Not Stearyl, not Cetyl, not Denatured. Just Alcohol. I have sensitive skin so alcohol is a big no no for me. I was bummed.
I would love to see you try the CYO life proof foundation. From other reviews it seems like the type of foundation you would like (if you sheered it out)
