Isn't that exactly the survival mode we have. You've to survive multiple rounds on one map with a cool bossfight at the end. I think it's even better tbh :o
As a big fan of The Uncharted series, I have to admit that I thought this game wasn't going to be at the level of the previous games. I thought that the changing the main character was going to take away what I loved about Uncharted and that I would be dissapointed-- it was a risky move by Naughty Dog-- I almost didn't buy it. I was so wrong! I can't believe I committed the sin of doubting Naughty Dog! The game was absolutely more than I expected. Maybe not as good as the Uncharted 4 obviously-- it was shorter. My Favorite Uncharted Games Ranked (Least Good to Best): - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Tied Uncharted 4/The Lost Legacy Now I know I'm gonna get some hate for this, but in my mind, the reasons behind putting U4/ TLL at No. 1 are pretty straightforward. First of all: Stealth. Now, don't get me wrong, stealth was very much possible in U2, but it wasn't emphasised as much as it was in U4 or TLL. The fact that you can seamlessly transition from stealth to gun-play (in most encounters) just puts the two games a step higher imo, adding some much needed freshness to the somewhat repetitive combat seen in previous Uncharted games. While the pacing doesn't necessarily exceed the lofty standards set by U2, U4 and TLL definetly make up for it through gameplay. On top of that, U4 gave us the perfect ending to Nathan's long journey, not only pleasing long time fans but wrapping up the story in such a way that spin-offs like TLL can be made possible. Oh, and TLL has, in my opinion, the best setpiece in the entire series with its final chapter, combining all the great elements like the train from U2, the driving and car-jacking from U4, and the Asav boss fight closely resembles the Talbot boss fight from U3. So all in all, it pretty much comes down to the meaty gameplay showcased in the series final two games that boost them up to the top of MY personal list. Phew, sorry for the somewhat long comment. I just wanted to get this off my chest and share my opinions on these fantastic games. Keep up the great work, Robin!
Interesting change of pace. I thought about 9 or 10 chapters when you mentioned the trophy you earn for not shooting an enemy until half way through (chapter 5) the game. Speaking of pacing, is it faster paced compared to Uncharted 4? Considering the estimated average of 8 hours for the first playthrough, it has to be, right?
RobinGaming I think "At Sea" is a great Uncharted 4 chapter, really boosting that adventure feeling. A chapter with no enemies and gunplay at all. Just pure exploration and nice environmental puzzles! Not to mention the absolutely beautiful vistas. As for Scotland... Well yeah, it kinda seemed like Syria 2.0. It's Syria with the slide.
The story is really good for the length and tbh the gameplay additions and finally decent puzzles. If they make a full game like this it probably could be the best uncharted

It's kind of hard to say at the moment for me. Uncharted 2 & 4 definitely remain to stand out as the best. TLL may be objectively a better game than 1 & 3 though, although for nostalgia reasons I'd probably still put 1 above it xD

Been waiting for this video. P.s. Uncharted 4's 30fps was so impressive that I thought I was playing in 60fps the entire game, and that's coming from a PC gamer who's very picky about framerates for a competitive edge.
Logan Larocque I have and the graphics are actually significantly less impressive (no doubt to achieve that 60fps). It wasn't until I played the multiplayer that I began to notice. I guarantee you my eyes are very well trained to the point where I can tell the difference between 120 and 80fps, as well as 80 and 60fps respectively. I can even tell by how significantly more responsive PC controls are at higher framerates and how sluggish they feel at lower ones. I think it was a combination of the interlacing and motion blur effects used to stimulate the smoothness of a 60fps experience as opposed to 30fps as well as the fact that I only recently obtained a PS4. The controls on console are already sluggish and input latency is even higher due to the wirelessness of the Dualshock 4 controller. Because of these factors, it was more difficult for me to notice any significant differences because you don't just SEE framerates, you can FEEL them with how responsive controls are due to the fact that your inputs are being displayed to you significantly earlier. Plus, I don't play competitively on console due to the aforementioned issues with using a controller. When I play my PS4, it's to kick back and enjoy a (generally) single player experience. Despite the fact that I enjoy my PS4 and love NaughtyDog games, mouse and keyboard remain the superior method of control.
I really have to disagree. I'm a big Uncharted Fan but Uncharted 4 is one of the few games, where you REALLY feel the 30 FPS. It's the exact opposite. I genually felt sick sometimes and had to stop playing for a bit. Same with the survival mode. Can't play it. Games where i didn't even notice the 30 FPS was Destiny for example.
Robin after playing this expansion/dlc, would you like to play (in distant future) a potential new Uncharted series with Chloe as the main protagonist? Or is time for ND to start fresh and go with completely new character? I stated, in "distant future", cuz I feel Uncharted deserves a a bit of rest and ND should focus on making a brand new (creative) IP ...preferably a sci-fi/action-adventure genre(after they finish up with TLOU2).

Having beat it now. It was so amazing. I played on normal, not rushing anything. I did the big side objective in the western gats, found a decent amount of treasures, but sadly the game only took me 6 hours and 17 minutes. Even though the experience was short, it still stood out as an amazing uncharted game, that I would put up, maybe even above some of my less favorite entries in the series.

I really never saw a problem with the game resembling UC4's mechanics. There's tons of FPS games out there using the same mechanics and gameplay throughout their franchises. Shouldn't be a flaw imo. In fact, its great for players who have been playing the entire franchise. Easy to pick up and go. Ready for next week!

It's basically paced in a similar way, except it doesn't have the really slow and boring parts of U4 like Scotland and At Sea

This is easily my 3rd favorite Uncharted game, and I'm happy to admit that alot of it has to do with Chloe finally getting the sendoff she deserves.
