Thank you. Was dx with language disorder NOS in undergrad. It was never picked up younger bc I learned to work around the tests as a kid. Got through med school. But recently started playing chess and playing drums. I noticed that in chess my eye often would misread diagonal paths with the bishop and queen, though I scanned the board multiple times. At first I thought it was just sloppiness d/t my ADHD. Then in drumming I struggle a bit reading drum notation and would get frustrated. Then I was doing an oculomotor exam on someone and it clicked. Thinks pretty much confirmed what I expected. Also explains why I suck at skeet shooting. Thanks!
Yes, wall sacades could be beneficial for ocular motor dysfunction. It is one of the things you would need to do, along with other vision therapy exercises.
My eyes have little shaking episodes if I concentrate on something for too long. My optometrist thinks it's binocular dysfunction from too many concussions. But I recently had an MRI that showed I have a blood vessel pressing on my oculomotor nerve. If it's caused by nerve irritation, can eye exercises correct it?
