Wow, would give anything to see you in concert. This tune with JB was amazing, you were in top form. Never seen a white girl sing the blues like you did that night. An unbelievably good performance.
Beth, you are indeed the greatest singer alive! I have been a huge fan ever since I saw you open for matchbox 20 in Ft. Collins Co. And even they knew they were in trouble that night!
OMG Beth Such an honor. I most recently recommended all your performances, most especially my all time favorite, "Mama" (live at the Paradiso). A True legend... and a deserving REACTION!
Beth moves me in a way that no other vocalist has ever moved me. She is the best of all time including Plant, Tina, Janis. NO ONE does it as good as Beth. I love seeing people discover her for the first time
Please do more Beth Hart. She’s been around for more than 30 years now. She’s the Greatest Female Singer on the planet that people in this country are just finding out about. She has an incredible life story to tell. From her early Rock days into her now legendary Blues career she’s the best. You touched on her musician skills some. In my opinion I’ve never heard a better Singer, Composer and Accompanying Pianist perform. Her song writing talent has gone unrewarded for to long. She’s an All Around Performer. As great as Joe Bonamassa is, he knows when they get together for a project, he puts Beth on the top of the billing. They have done three albums together. Thanks for discovering Beth Hart.
Beth Hart is one of the best female vocalist on the planet. Not only is she an amazing vocalist, she is also a wonderful human being. She is a beautiful soul, full of love and honesty about her life struggles and she goes out of her way to try and help others. The world is a better place with Beth in it :)
Beth has been my favorite for years. The pain and emotion in all her stuff makes my soul hurt. She kills every time. She can put that "Stank" on it like Joplin or soft, feminine and sultry. She's the whole package.
I just saw a documentary on Beth - "Bad woman blues" - and was surprised to learn that she loves classical music and initially wanted to become an opera singer.
Beth hart is a rare talent.......not only does she have a dynamic voice range, she has the ability to make the audience "feel" the emotion in the song....that is a gift that not all singers have. A person who is worth every penny of the live show cost. Her and Bonamassa are a serious dynamic duo that compliment each other and play off one another to the extreme pleasure of their audience. They need to tour together more often......just great live performances.
That is why she is the best female singer EVER thanks for sharing her. i have followed her for years. it's great to see her get the recognition that she deserves.
Time for "I'll Take Care of You," done by Beth and Joe. It's just as amazing. As far as them inspiring each other, that is pretty much on point. Apart, they are amazing. Together, they are unstoppable. Beth's had herself a hard life, and Joe said he reeeaaaally wanted to work with her, but she had to leave the craziness of her life out of their work. And as you can hear...it's just magical.
The funny thing is that when she was contacted, Beth Hart thought Joe Bonamassa wanted her as a backing vocalist and she immediately said "yes". And then Joe and his producer not only said they wanted her as the lead singer but that she could also choose part of the songs they were going to record..... That must have been a dream come true. It might even have been the best thing that could happen to her at that time, because from what I've heard she was leading a pretty destructive life back then. That cooperation with Joe forced her to really clean up her act.
PLEASE listen to Beth Hart live at The Paradiso in Amsterdam singing "Am I the One" - her performance is beyond outstanding!!!! It exceeds this one in every respect!
Whilst that older track it is am great performance, she seems to be so stung out that it feel a bit exploitative to watch it again. On balance the older wiser Beth is the voice I want to remember.
Original by Etta James circa 1968 I suggest "Etta James I'd Rather Go Blinnd Live at Montreux 1976" 🔥 Beth is great but Etta is a Legend and deserves the reaction 👏
First you react to Hailey Reinhardt performing the best cover of Creep ever and now days later it's Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa's cover of I'd Rather Go Blind! Cloud nine never sounded so good Elizabeth. Beth is a master Blues singer in her own right but pair her up with an iconic Blues guitarist like Joe and what you have is raw, rip into your soul sounds that knock you to your knees crying Mercy! Baited breath is not just a saying.
@@TheCharismaticVoice Check out her and Joe's live cover of 'I'll Take Care Of You'. His guitar solos are incredible and her vocals are other-worldly.

Caught out in the rain recorded in Royal Albert Hall is onother epic song performance. Beth sings her soul out there from her feet’s. Really epic last song from a very long evening concert.
And the best is to combine that with the opener of that show. As long as I have a song. Sung a capella with full venue lights on. In the middle of the public. Epic performance !!!
I guess I missed this one as I was always waiting for you to review this performance. This BRILLIANT performance. Not a wrong note, staying with the song and the pain. The unique sounds and use of voice are astounding. That voice, that strength, that passion. This remains my #1 live performance video. Absolute perfection. I've watched it more than 100 times and still reach out to it again and again. Check out Beth in concert. They're usually small venues and amazing. Nice to see she made it past her demons and is performing brilliantly.
I went to her concert yesterday and now I've come home and just enjoying the memories with your great reaction on this magnificent singer! She keeps blowing me away with that voice of hers! Absolutely great performance!
Get the shivers every time I see this. The greatest singer, with the greatest guitarist. What could be better. Watching your reactions also 😎💯 Thank you 💞
"Am I The One" is a great suggestion, but "Caught Out In The Rain" is just 🔥 Please, check it out! Beth's vocals are mind blowing and it's also a live performance
Love your reaction to Beth - whom I have been a fan of for years. Her vibrato is unusual, emotional and compelling. Thank you for giving her the reaction which she deserves.
I've listened to this version of this song hundreds of times and I never would have thought that I would appreciate it more, BUT, hearing your technical breakdown added another dimension. I actually listened to your video twice. If you ever get the chance to see Beth perform live, please do. She feeds off the audience's energy and is one of the most incredible vocalists out there now. Thank you so much for this reaction.
I can listen to Beth Hart all day and all night. So glad you did this react. To see her in her earlier days would recommend Live at The Paradiso performing Am I the One, a song she wrote when she was about 15 years old. The performance is as raw, and as good as it gets. There are a bunch of her songs that you could react to but this one with Joe and the Paradiso performance shows her recovery and her growth.
I love your noticing her considerably solid music background. Loved how you phrased "she's so intentional and precise, musically". I've seen a few performances of hers and, even if she maybe wasn't in the best state of mind in some of them, you can clearly notice there's a ton of intent in everything she does with her voice and with the performance as a whole. One of the few performers I've seen that connects with the entire experience, not just with the notes she's supposed to sing
This national treasure was so close to leaving us years ago. But she overcame drugs and soared into the stratosphere. Please listen to her song, Leave the Light on.
Joe was so good with his call and response to Beth's vocals. What an amazing artist. Both of them. But Joe is one of the best IN THE WORLD today. Amazing talent on that stage.
You comment on how the drummer influenced the guitar solo. You will notice that at the end of Joe's solo he stands in front of the drummer smiles and gives him an appreciative nod.
Thanks for this one, Elizabeth. Beth is a magnificent blues singer and I'd love to see you do more. While I think she's at her best when she teams with Joe Bonamassa, I do love her rendition of "Am I the One" live at Paradiso (th-cam.com/video/5Ro191bgp7k/w-d-xo.html). @@musicluvr70 She was 100% sober in that Paradiso concert (perhaps she smoked some marijuana as she was in holland but VERY doubtful). It was like a "3rd" chance for her and she was just so thankful for the opportunity. The Am I the One video is also the encore for the concert and as such it's likely that her adrenaline was at an all time high and she was fully immersed in the moment, not worried what you or I would think or judge her for in the future. @@musicluvr70 I understand that feeling, and in a way agree, to watch someone obviously in pain, and strung out as she is still be able to just "explode" as she did in that time frame, was a sad honour too, as we have seen in so many. I am just so pleased she was, unlike Janis, able to kick it.
I've been thinking about how I wish you would do an analysis of Beth Hart for a long time, not knowing that you did this, so I'm a little late to this party. I don't know how you can listen to Beth and not mention her trademark vibrato that is so dang fast. The first I heard of her was with Jeff Beck, Tell Her You Belong to Me, and I thought, who is SHE?! Her dark voice and vibrato are stunning.
This is by far my most favorite performance, ever. There are some amazing artists out there in a variety of genres, but this performance grabs ahold of my soul and refuses to let go. I just discovered your channel tonight and love your insights and expertise. If you check the album they released from recording this concert ("Live in Amsterdam"), you'll see that this song was #20 in the lineup. Song #20, and she still sounded this incredible!!! You commented on how you loved that she was sweating and using her entire body in her singing, and now you know why she was perspiring so much. She was giving everything she had to her fans. I truly adore this lady. If you ever decide to revisit Beth and Joe, you'll see requests for "AM I THE ONE" from a lot of your commenters. It is a great song and she does a fabulous job with it. But I think that as a vocal coach you might actually find a more fascinating performance to study with "I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU". th-cam.com/video/nW3OrLHj0lQ/w-d-xo.html Check it out -- I'm already poised to hit that like button.
Hej Elizabeth, this is music and a song close to my hart. Beth sing this song with so much emotion unbelievable and with Joe on the guitar, wat else can you wish for just wow

Beth, I swear is so good she snatches the soul out of your body! You feel her voice all over your body too! I love her so much I just like watching peoples reactions to her when they hear her voice for the first time.
Beth Hart...you gotta check out Am I the One live. One of the most ferocious performances EVER laid to tape. She's all heart and guts. Also, Leave the Light On will make you cry. If you aren't sweaty, you aren't giving it. The singer in my blues band has a voice comparable to this...and this song was the last song at our last gig before Covid hit.
Words cannot describe how this video touched me deep down in my soul. Thank you so much Beth, Joe & especially you Elizabeth, thankyou for being such a beautiful caring & giving soul.
Beth is a fantastic vocalist and deserves to be better known. But Joe is an even better guitarist and deserves the same! Together they are just terrific.

But I think that as a vocal coach you might actually find a more fascinating performance to study with "I'LL TAKE CARE OF YOU". th-cam.com/video/nW3OrLHj0lQ/w-d-xo.html Check it out -- I'm already poised to hit that like button.
Beth IS the music. That's why she is the best. ❤❤❤
Beth Hart is incredible ❤
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is called PERFECTION!!! Thanks Beth and Joe for letting us live this…
Hej Elizabeth, this is music and a song close to my hart. Beth sing this song with so much emotion unbelievable and with Joe on the guitar, wat else can you wish for just wow
I so loved watching your excitement and enthusiasm at hearing these two masters at work! I loved your insight, your knowledge, your LOVE of this music. Thank you so much, and I see you got a thank you from Beth!! OMG! How cool is that?! Great reaction, love you Beth and Joe!!
Beth is a force of nature. If you don't get moved by this performance, you have no heart :-)
beth and joe, a great musical collaboration.
Beth takes my breath away every time I listen to her. Joe can make a guitar sing.
Pleased to see this young lady's genuine reactions to Beth. The lady is a once in a lifetime gift to us music lovers, then with Joe...say no more.
Excellent example of a tight band creating this 'throne' for the Queen to shine! This is dope!
She is truly fantastic.
PLEAAAAAAASE REACT TO MORE OF HER SONGS!! I was struck with happiness when I saw that you reacted to her
Beth, I swear is so good she snatches the soul out of your body! You feel her voice all over your body too! I love her so much I just like watching peoples reactions to her when they hear her voice for the first time.
Your joy of music is infectious!
Two masters of their craft, can't beat that.
I’m soooo happy you looked into Beth Hart!! Please do more!!!
I love Beth Hart.....I have been following her for a very long time...
This is like Christmas, I'm going to stay up all night waiting for this. Oh boy!
Exactly
This beautiful lady and Joe, what a combination
Beth doesn't just sing songs, she performs them!
She lives and relives those songs
Beth is a fantastic vocalist and deserves to be better known. But Joe is an even better guitarist and deserves the same! Together they are just terrific.
Oh my goodness! This is one of the best performances ever. I can’t wait to see your reaction to this one!
Beth is using the technique of her soul first of all and after her voice!! Her soul is singing.. and the body resonates!!
I am sure all her body shakes when she is singing!!
Love you, Beth!! ❤
Beth Hart "Am I The One" live at Paradiso is another phenominal performance if you like Janis Joplin it's a must see.
