- The only appearance of the Enterprise-D in Deep Space 9 was in the first episode, "Emissary." However, over the seven seasons of DS9, the Enterprise was mentioned on many occasions, which are documented in this video.

I always loved the bond Worf and O'Brien had from serving together on the D. It made 90s Trek feel 'lived in'. People with shared past's that they could have inside jokes, like mentioning Barclay - with the audience also being in on it. Canon can give storytelling real depth by throwing a passing nod to something eg Wolf359, we don't need it explained. We all know what happened there. Now it's more, Shaka, when the walls fell
The scene of O'Brien sharing blood wine with worf to aid with his grief is one of the most heartwarming to me, I imagine after i cut to the next scene they carried on telling tales about their time on the enterprise as well as what they each got up to once O'Brien transfered and before it was destroyed in generations.
I love that Odo kept a bookmarked tab on the Enterprise's criminal file in case Worf confronted him.
Odo was like BULLSHIT
Odo's got RECEIPTS
The Enterprise D is the most famous one. It was on TNG, DS9 pilot, Generations, and even Enterprise season 4 and Picard season 3
The 1701 was on TOS, TAS, that one tribble episode of ds9, in a mirror darkly AND these are the voyages (ent) and i dont remember it showing up in TNG or VOY. i havent watched anything after enterprise, but i know it appears in discovery, and strange new worlds is set on it. also the JJ trilogy but idk if that counts
@someidiot4311 It was only referenced on Voyager, but the bridge was shown in TNG.
@@good_teanice_house6789 Not to mention all of the pop culture from TOS
John this video hit all the nostalgia buttons for me.when Star Trwk had a sense of continuity and respect for its own history. Even when it wasn't perfect, it strove for it
Thanke
Wow, in the 7 years I watched the show, I never knew or should say remember how many times they dropped Enterprise ...
For real. I thought it was much less common than the video points out.
"Captain's log, stardate 46578.4. The Enterprise has arrived at Station Deep Space Nine, to assist in the reconstruction of the Bajoran aqueduct systems damaged during the Cardassian occupation."
4:58 I only saw that scene once before and didn't realize how so very clear it was that Odo had been waiting for this moment.
I still love how Keiko giving birth causes PTSD in Worf.
No F-bombs.. No beheadings.. No crying.. It's a shame you have to go back a couple of decades to a time when startrek was great... but thanks for the nostalgia hit.. lets hope they never make a sisko series and ruin the legacy of DS9.....
I loved that joke about how they seemingly forgot that the E was the sixth ship to bear the name Enterprise.
Though, they'd also be wrong about that too in a few years time when Enterprise was released and we got to see the NX-01 Enterprise.
well yeah cause the E was still brand new not even a year old...I think, the first major thing the enterprise-E did was in first contact.
@@SuperGamefreak18 yep
Because they didn't think that through
IIRC, the NX didn't have the same registry so whilst it was the same name, it wasn't counted as being the same. The Enterprise, Kirks one, gave the registry the Legacy allowance due to how impactful she was which gave the right for A, B, C ect... to be put next to the name. Other ships just get a new registry but the same name. The NX also signifies a prototype I think.
It's not the greatest reasoning as the NX Enterprise was literally the first Starfleet ship that could do warp 5 and saved Earth a few times. But as you say, it just wasn't wrote in by then.
The NX-01 also wasn't a Federation ship, which is what they'd be referencing. The -E was brand new at that point, easy to forget in the count. The NX-01 was Starfleet, but not Federation@@borgCube100
Sisko "I was sorry to hear about the Enterprise.....she was a good ship"
Worf ( Should have said ) "Yes sir......and so was the Starship Lollipop!"
Sisko "????????"
Amusing but understandable how the DS9 pilot had to constantly mention the Enterprise.
Although John Di Marco is likely younger than I, I still want to be him when I grow up.
Good Video, I think you got EVERY one!
Great video as always John.
Thanks!
Great video
John giving us the videos we didn't know we wanted!
It is not the video we deserve, but the video we need. ;)
Very cool compilation!
Thanks!
Not to be annoying, but you missed one. The Enterprise is dispatched to the DMZ in Tribunal, when O'Brien gets Kangaroo Courted.
When they stop talking about you....
Barkley would have made an interesting guest on ds9 lol
that first trip through the wormhole. would he get to talk to the prophets? And to choose a few more: the episode with the stranded planet of descendants,
then maybe either the Siege episode or the episode where they talk to the dying captain.
I think there was one shot that appears in both TNG and DS9.
Wow i never realised how often they name dropped the enterprise 😂 way more than i thought
What about times DS9 was mentioned in the other series
Stay tuned...
Was mentioned a couple times in Star Trek insurrection as well as next gen and voyager
1:43 to 1:47
😂

KARDASHIANS
So what ds9 episode does O’Brien address La forge as Geordi? I read somewhere that that’s the only Star Trek episode that O’Brien addressed La Forge by his first name
That was from later in the same scene when O'Brien mentions Barclay: "Geordi waving that sword around." The episode was "Image in the Sand."
👍👍
Enterprise??
I could imagine when worf or o brian heard what barcarly did made contact with the uss voyager in the delta qaundrent
Can there be one where the Enterprise is referenced in Voyager?
I'd say that's a distinct possibility.
0:51 I just want to say how incredibly much I love the space and starship scenes of trek and the music. But also how.. idk how to describe it, the shows manage to make voice, visual and music work so amazingly togheter that I can't help to rewatch that one scene hundreds of times for the tingles of perfection it gives me. Don't know if I am unique with how I feel about that.
I remember when i was a kid how me and my family would watch star trek tng and DS9 and voyager when I was in 6th grade we used to watch voyager and deep space nine every wednesday night and when Wolf came on i like wolf and when the Enterprise D crash on the planet i was sad but then when there was a few other galaxy class ships i enjoyed them one thing i wish in the war was i wish they could have seperated the galaxy class ships but then when the enterprise d came back in picard I was like she back she back the enterprise d is back and i had to go tell some of my friends.
ahah worf, who's the one that says the E is better
By the way this is Mercer
Did sisko hold a grudge against Picard, or did he let it go?
I think he let go after the pilot
Nice
